Without hesitation, they headed to the private chamber of High Warden Talor.

Inside, Talor welcomed them with a lavish banquet table already set. There was wine, and meat. Luxuries only the elite could afford.

Once they were seated, Talor stood before them.

“There is a matter that requires your attention,” he began slowly. “A boy has risen. A mere student called Kai Draven. He didn’t only kill Mordax Rex, but also brought down Councilor Vane. And now, he’s claimed the highest student position in this school. He’s feared and untouchable.”

The elites murmured in disbelief.

“Who is this boy?” one of them asked coldly.

Talor’s eyes darkened. “Kai Draven.”

Silence fell among them.

Then, one of them leaned forward, cracking his knuckles. “Then it’s time we teach this Kai a lesson. A very painful one.” He intoned.

Another smirked. “Let’s make him wish he never picked up a sword.”

Talor’s lips curled in satisfaction. “That’s what I wanted to hear.”
