Alejandro's pulse quickened as the sound of footsteps echoed through the dark, cavernous warehouse. He was not alone.

The eerie quiet that hung over the space moments ago now felt like a prelude to chaos. His eyes flicked to Carlos, whose face had turned ashen with fear.

The ally who had always stood by him now appeared uncertain, his hand subconsciously reaching for a concealed weapon in his jacket.

Fear was lurking.

"Alejandro, something’s wrong," Carlos muttered under his breath. His eyes darted to the back of the room, where the shadows seemed to writhe and stretch unnaturally. The air itself felt charged with tension.

Ale's body tensed, every instinct screamed for him to act. But he held his ground, trying to remain composed, trying to keep his thoughts clear. Whoever or whatever was coming wasn’t going to catch him off guard. Not again. And not now.

The footsteps grew louder, closer. His gaze moved to the dim light at the far end of the warehouse.
