The lab no longer resembled the place it once was.Days had passed since the incident, but the damage still clung to every surface like a wound that refused to heal.Shattered glass crunched faintly underfoot. He rushed out of the dining hall, the others following immediately behind him.They pushed into the room.Clarissa lay on the bed, still pale but visibly better than before. The antidote had worked, at least partially.“A tracking chip?” Desmond asked sharply.Noah stepped forward quickly. “It’s one of those chips Blackfinger uses,” he said.“A sensor. It can send signals directly to their system.” Asher added.Irius moved closer as well, his expression tightening. “If it’s active, they could already be tracking her.”Asher moved closer. “How do you know she has a chip?” he asked Noah.Noah stepped forward, pointing at her left wrist.“I noticed a bulge on her skin,” he said.Everyone leaned in, eyes narrowing as they focused on the area.“I thought it was just swelling from the injuries or something,” Noah shrugged. “But then I noticed a flicker.”“A flicker?”
