Chapter 75: The Interrogation
The next morning had come around much quicker than any of them had expected. Lucas, especially since he was brimming with anticipation at how Alexander would react when he found out that his life was over and at the hands of the man he had tried to kill several times. Lucas got out of his bed, taken a bath and wore casual clothes before he made his way out of his mansion and towards the station where his fallen enemy was being held until further notice. It didn’t take any time for him to arrive at the police department as there was luckily not much traffic on the way over there. “What do you think you’re doing, Mr. Verga?” Lucas asked the man, fury evident on his face. Alexander’s mouth, which was agape before, went shut as his eyes widened. He tried to pull his hand away but Lucas’ grip was far too tight for the man to do so.“How are you here?” Alexander muttered under his breath as Sophia smirked from the corner. The night had finally come for Sophia to meet up with her estranged husband. She had tried to talk herself out of doing this, but she knew that there was no other way to go about this. At the police station, Axel finally emerged from his office after Sophia waited five minutes, a hint of determination etched on his face. The phone call from the officer made him very curious. It didn’t take long for Axel and some of the other police officers to arrive at the hospital, worried and shocked that someone had still tried to kill Lucas when their men were stationed around the room.
