Zokhu closed his eyes, took a deep breath to calm himself, then opened them sharply. He glanced at his men standing nearby. “Find the people I asked for.”

“Mr. Zokhu, we’ve found them. They’re locked up in the warehouse now.”

Zokhu stood up. “Let’s go.”

They headed straight to the warehouse.

The warehouse was dark and silent, with almost no sign of human activity. This place was used by Zokhu specifically to detain people.

Currently, Steven and his son-Sonny, were stripped of their clothes and tied tightly to a metal rack with ropes. The temperature inside the warehouse was freezing. Both were soaked in tears and snot, shivering from the cold.

“Please... please let us go...” Sonny sobbed desperately. “I beg you, we’ll give you all the money you want!”

“Help us! Please!” Steven whimpered weakly.

But there was no use in shouting. No one would hear or care about them.

“Shut up!” Zokhu barked sharply.

Dixon slapped Lomez hard. Three of Lomez’s teeth flew out, and blood streamed from his mouth. “Who… are you…?” Lomez staggered, but the pain kept him awake. “You are not worthy to know,” Dixon replied coldly, then slapped him again until Lomez’s face swelled. The workers behind Dixon immediately realized that they had help. “Men!” someone shouted from inside. Dozens of people rushed out, armed with iron rods, their faces ready to kill. The workers turned pale. “Do not be afraid.” Diana was not nervous at all. All she felt was anger. If she had not seen this with her own eyes, she would rather not believe that there could be people this cruel. How could a human being do such violence to poor, innocent laborers? For the first time, Diana felt there were moments when being reasonable was completely useless. Dixon must not let these hopeless people get away with it. Diana bit her lip and shouted loudly, “Dixon… They are scaring me!” The moment her voice faded, a loud

No one dared to move, although the anger in their eyes still burned. Lomez spat toward them, then shut the office’s metal door from the inside. Inside the room, the air was filled with the fragrance of expensive tea. Anyone who knew tea would recognize that it cost thousands of dollars per bar of leaves. Oba, the man in charge of the eighth mining zone, lived in luxury. In just a few years, he had bought more than a dozen houses and an entire row of commercial properties. His skin was dark, a thick gold chain hung from his neck, and on his thumb was a large ring said to have been taken from a dead man’s hand. For years, not a single thing he had done could be called ethical. "Are they asking for money?" Oba took a small sip of tea before sneering. "I already paid them six months ago, and that was only out of pity." "If they do not want to work, then let them leave. Tell them to stop bothering me. Do they want to die?" Lomez gave a faint smile. "Mr. Oba, just ignore the

"Dixon, did I make things difficult for you today?" Diana finally turned to face Dixon. "I was so angry that I made a promise to them. Now that I think about it, I should have tried to handle it myself instead of getting upset and adding to your burden." Dixon lowered his gaze slightly when he saw how red Diana’s eyes were. "My love, now you are making me upset," he said with a serious expression. "It is my duty to share your burdens and make sure you are happy." Diana pouted. It felt incredible to have a man so strong protecting her. She had nothing to fear. Dixon was her safe harbor, and she knew he would shield her from any storm. Seeing Diana start to calm down, Dixon smiled. He reached out and held her hand. There was nothing more that needed to be said. When they arrived home, Diana went straight to the bedroom to rest. The day had been exhausting, and her spirits had dipped because of what had happened earlier. As Dixon tucked her in, he gazed at her gently. "You

In the luxurious meeting room, they sat stiffly, worried that their shabby clothes might dirty the soft chairs and gleaming table around them."Go ahead, tell me what happened. Why did you come all the way to Reddof to find us?" Diana asked."We… we have not been paid for a whole year and we cannot wait any longer…" The leader of the group began wiping his tears. "My wife is seriously ill and I need money for the doctor, but the boss refuses to pay us. When we confronted him, he even beat us!"He rolled up his sleeve, revealing terrible injuries.Seeing them, Diana’s face tightened. Her body trembled as she held back her anger. The wounds on his arm were clearly from heavy blows, some still not fully healed. How could anyone be so cruel in this day and age?"When we said we would go find our new boss, they stopped us and sent people to chase us. It took a huge effort for us to get here," the man sighed. He was about to kneel again, but Dixon quickly stopped him."CEO Diana, I know you

"You… you are really Diana?" the man stared at her, eyes wide."Yes, I am Diana. Why are you looking for me?" Diana asked seriously. They exchanged glances, as if comparing her face to a photo they had once seen in the news. A few seconds later, they all nodded firmly."Yes! She is the one!" shouted one of them.Without warning, they all dropped to their knees.Diana was stunned, and so was Dixon. Neither of them had any idea what was happening."CEO Diana! Please help us!" one man cried, his eyes red. "Everyone says you are kind-hearted. Our company was bought by Hamilton Group. Please do not leave us in trouble!"Diana was shocked. Bought by Hamilton Group? She quickly helped them up without asking too much. "Come on, all of you, stand up.""CEO Diana, please save us. We really have nowhere else to turn, no choice but to come and trouble you. Please be kind and help us…""Stand up first," Diana said firmly. "If you stay kneeling, I will not help you."They quickly got to their f

They did not leave the room all day. After their passionate game, Diana curled up in Dixon’s arms, her cheeks flushed.“It looks like it’s getting dark,” Dixon said, not looking tired at all. In fact, his eyes were bright and full of energy. He looked down at Diana. “Are you still tired?”Diana nodded softly, stretching her hand lazily. “A little.”She lifted her head, gazing into Dixon’s eyes. “Hmm, can we just have a baby like this?”Dixon paused for a moment, then answered seriously, “We might have to work a little harder.”“Okay,” Diana whispered, biting her lip. Her voice grew softer. “Then… should we try again?”Dixon chuckled. “Not tonight. We still have to attend the party. Dozens of employees are waiting for their cash prizes.”He kissed Diana’s forehead. “We have plenty of time ahead.”Glancing at the clock, Dixon saw it was already late. They got up, took a shower, changed clothes, and prepared to leave.Yoruna and William were already dressed, but they did not want to dist
