As soon as Constantine powered up, waves of energy blasted out of his body and shot into the air. Immediately, every doom in the area was attracted and turned their gazes to him.

It was very difficult to describe how it felt like to have a thousand pairs of eyes staring at you with hostility all at the same time. Most people might feel like their skin was crawling with ants. For others, it felt like thousands of lasers were pointed at them.

For Constantine, it felt much worse. It was like he was standing in the middle of empty space and all around him; he was surrounded by black holes that wanted to devour him.

Dooms did not have eyes. Instead, they had hollow sockets where their eyes were meant to be. These hollow sockets were pitch black. With thousands of dooms staring at Constantine with their black hollow sockets, it was like they wanted to suck him into the depths of a black hole.
