The scream ripped through the Spire and I jumped out of bed like someone lit a fire under me.

Theo grabbed my arm in the dark. "Ryn what was that? It sounded like pain but also something else."

"I do not know but we are checking it right now. Come on."

We ran down the hall and found Elyra and Lira already outside a side chamber breathing hard. "It came from the new guests," Elyra said quick. "They need us."
