By the time Angus gets to the hospital, the sky was dark and rain was hitting the ground.

He pays the taxi driver with the little money that he has on him and he rushes into the hospital.

He goes past the reception, his chest is beating, and he's hurrying to get to his mother, to see that she is still alive.

The moment that he turns to the hall that leads to the ward that leads to her room, he sees his mother on the ground!

His mother is on the ground like a freaking sideroad beggar!

"Mum!" He goes to her with speed.

She is shivering on the ground, only her blanket is shielding her from the harshness of the weather.

Angus is now filled with fury, who dared to do this to his mother?!

"Where is the head nurse?!" He demands so loudly that everyone turns to look at him. "Where is she?!"

His thundering voice makes one of the junior nurses runoff.

She comes back with the head nurse, who was holding her hands in front of her face, she looks scared.

That all goes away when she enters and sees that it's Angus that called her.

She scoffs as she drops her hands, she thought that it was someone else important.

"Why is my mother on the ground?!" Angus shouted. "Is this how you people treat patients?! What's wrong with you people?!"

The arrogant nurse waves the junior away and everyone else goes back to work as she gets closer to Angus, her hands are folded.

"Did you hear what I say?!" Angus is growing even more angry. "Why is my mother on the floor?!"

"Thank God you are here, take her away." The nurse hiss. "We don't do charity here, we run a business."

Angus' jaw clenches even tighter, he wants to snap her neck.

"I brought my mother here because this is the best hospital in the city! Is this how you attend to customers?!"

"We have treated your mother for some days now and it has amounted to ten thousand dollars." She says. "We don't have bed space for patients without money."

Veins are throbbing in Angus' neck, his blood is boiling too.

All his mother needs is just one surgery and intensive care for a week or so, it's not something too serious.

All he needs is the money and his mother will be treated and then she will be out of danger's way.

But the nurse is not helping matters and he can't find the money now that his crazy wife used it for a shopping spree.

In what looks like the snap of a finger, Angus loses his mind.

He grabs the nurse by her collar and pulls her closer to him, to the shock of everyone.

Angus has never hit a woman before, he isn't the kind of person, but he is ready to murder this woman on the spot because she is not having sympathy for his mother.

"Listen to me, lady, you will take my mother back to her room right this instant because if she dies, I will kill you too." He threatens through clenched teeth.

The look of arrogance in the eyes of the nurse disappears immediately and she goes into panic mode.

"Somebody get help!" She screams. "This madman wants to kill me!"

The staff who are watching in horror begin to run around, trying to save their seniors.

Angus knows that this is probably going to get him into trouble, but he is not even worried about that now.

Soon over six hefty men in scrubs run over to Angus and tear him away from the head nurse.

Angus is on his knees, the men are yelling at him to calm down, but it's hard to do that.

He is looking at his mother, she hasn't even moved an inch since he walked in.

The head nurse dusts off her shoulders and smoothes out the crease on her immaculate white uniform.

She gives Angus a snarl without pity.

"How dare you assault me? Is it my fault that you don't have money to pay your mother's surgery fee?!" She blasts him.

Angus is still held down, but he wishes that this man will let go of him so that he can go and hold his mother, she is unresponsive and cold.

Well, since he can't get to her, he tries to scream her name.

"Mum, it's Angus!" He yells. "Please, stay with me!"

His throat feels painful, the strong arms of these men are hurting him too.

The head nurse is still scolding and cursing at him when the crowd that has gathered around them suddenly goes quiet and gives way.

A man in an expensive suit emerges, he is the director of the hospital. He examines the situation with scorn.

He turns to the head nurse.

"What's going on here?" He asks.

She goes on to repeat everything that has happened, making sure to exaggerate Angus' behavior just enough to paint him in a terrorist kind of way.

But poor Angus, he was just trying to save his mother.

After she is done with her half-truth story, the director turns to Angus with contempt.

"Thanks to the head nurse for standing her ground, crazy paupers like you are the reason why other private practices have been shut down." He grunts. "Do you think that the Goldwater hospital survived all those years of charity work?!"

At this point, it was taking too much for Angus to keep the tears.

"Please," he looks at the man. "My mother is going to die any minute if she is not operated upon. I will get you the money and even pay double of what I already owe, please…"

Anyone with a good heart can see how sincere Angus is, but the director and the head nurse don't have human hearts.

"Well, since she is about to die, I suggest that you hurriedly put her on your back and take her out of the hospital because if she dies here, I will cease her corpse and charge you so high that you will rather let her rot in the morgue than to pay."

"Please, sir…"

"The corridor is too precious to hold garbage like her."

"Please, just for one day, do me a favor."

"The Goldwater hospital has run out of favors for you, Mister miser." He mocks. "Your mother leaves today."

Angus' heart shatters to the ground, he can't believe that this is happening to him.

Where is he going to take his mother to?!

She is going to die any moment, he can't believe his mother is going to die like a common animal because of him.

She is already in a coma, how can she leave? He has to carry her on his back?!

"What are you doing?! Let go of him!"

The voice is so loud and authoritative that the men immediately let go of Angus.
