“Sir Uriel, don't bid too high. Otherwise, you might lose this item. You should out-bid with small increments until everyone else gives up.”

Uriel tilted his head.

“Why can't I just go high?”

The masked Whiteridge soldier hesitated before speaking.

“Sir Uriel, it is not my place to speak unless permitted. It's just that….”

Uriel sighed before placing a hand on the soldier's shoulder to let him know that it's okay to talk.

“Look, I'm not your real boss, okay? That's Benjamin. If you have something to say that you think will help, then go ahead.”

Reassured, the Whiteridge soldiers elaborated.

“There are eyes on you. Everybody here is competing based on talents and skills perfected, not just through wealth. Out of all the participants so far, you're the only one who hasn't bid at all during the last four raw stones, and all of them were unsatisfactory in various degrees.”

Uriel frowned as he began picking up on what this masked soldier was putting down.

With Benjamin vindicated at the Elders Council Hall, everyone proceeds to a different venue - The Hall of Commemoration. This is where everything is officially announced to the entire family, and then disseminated to the entire world. But this kind of event is even more privatized compared to the one going on downstairs in the living area, with all the family present.Instead, only special families from the first, second, and third tiers will be called over.Elder Biscroft has been carried away for light treatment. Though it's been said that his humiliation today will be a stain he would never come back from, not with the way Benjamin had dealt with him. Humiliating him from the start, only to let him go after knocking him unconscious with just a stare.Benjamin had already aura-farmed off of Elder Biscroft's misery so hard, that even those who don't like him wouldn't help but admire him.As for the other five members, they definitely hold a grudge against Benjamin but they know ther

Veronica couldn't stop pacing back and forth.“Is this it?! Is this really it?! I've lost everything I worked my entire life for?! All to that newcomer, and I'm supposed to just…take it in stride?! Mom, Dad, I've been made an utter fool of!”Hannah and Chad could only glance at each other with unsure eyes, not even knowing how to comfort their daughter. That was when someone opened the room door and casually walked in. It was a maid, but there was something very peculiar about her.The maid looked humble at first, her back hunched as she quickly walked into the room with her cleaning supplies. She looked up and noticed the family if you were there, making her quite surprised.“Oh! Madam Hannah, Master Chad, and Young Madam Veronica, I had no idea that someone was in here! I just came in to clean this place, and I…”Hannah rudely interrupted the maid, her anger over everything going on was dumped on this innocent employee.“And so fucking what?! You came in to clean. Who gives a damn!

Veronica couldn't believe what she was watching. If the many ways that today could have turned out, she never thought this was what she would be seeing on a large holographic screen, with every single member of the family.“Was this always the plan?”Her whispered words got the attention of her mother, Hannah Whiteridge, who looked just as confused and helpless as she does right now.Veronica continued, her voice having very little life in it as she spoke with a dazed expression.“Was this always Grandpa's plan? To abandon me once someone else he deemed better came along. He didn't even know of Benjamin's existence till last year, and what? He sabotaged all of my achievements just to make way for the son of Uncle Dallas?”The name mentioned made Hannah share a dark look with her husband, Chad Hornet, before staring off into the space of nothingness with an even more sinister expression. To the changes in her mother's expressions, Veronica was none the wiser, too deep in her own emoti

“Goodness! Did Elder Biscroft just pee himself?!”“In front of so many people?! Fuck, that's embarrassing!”“Ugh! What is he doing?! As if he hasn't humiliated himself enough!”“Do you think, maybe, Young Master Benjamin is going a bit too far with this?!”“Bitch l, what are you talking about?! We all saw the hell of our Young Master Benjamin, just because he can, without the slightest regard for the great master himself. He was recklessly arrogant, and hopefully, this will be a reminder to him that he should never assume power in a system where he knows he's not the king.”A lot of people have lost respect for Elder Biscroft through this incident, and it will definitely affect the way he's regarded from now on. It seems he has been marked by this humiliation, and it will remain an awful stain on him for the rest of his life.Hearing some of the words of ridicule directed towards him, Elder Biscroft could no longer take it anymore. His eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell

By the time Benjamin was done, he had formed a dagger the size of a large man's hand, and with all that destructive force imbued into that shape, Benjamin was staring at Elder Biscroft alone, a sinister smile on his face.“Your time is up! I'm coming for you!”He then lunged up, jumping higher than a normal person should be able to do.Elder Biscroft screamed with all his lungs, like the cry of a banshee.“Goodness, nooooo!”Benjamin smashed his lightning fist into the baluster, causing a great explosion that made everyone watching, especially those who were close by to where Elder Biscroft, shield their head out of fear that the broken rocks would fall on them. That didn't happen. However, everyone heard Elder Biscroft let out another banshee scream, and they caught him falling from the great height where his seat used to be, to now falling to the center of the coliseum like a room, where Benjamin had stood, and he had looked down on the young man with eyes and heart filled with imm

Benjamin took the arrows, one and a tone, and threw them in the direction of each of the elders who he had come to learn were in the same team as Elder Biscroft. Therefore, Elder Harlene, Elder Joseph, Elder Penelope, Elder Junior, and Elder Cheyenne. All five of these elders were Benjamin's target. And each of their stations recurved one electrocuting arrow perfectly stuck to one of the poles in the balusters. Despite the odds of mistakenly throwing one of the arrows in the open spaces between the baluster structures, Benjamin had ended up throwing with great precision, sticking the landing in the end. These five elders were terrified at the sudden attacks. But since those arrows only channel electric current through conductible elements, they were safe.Anyway, that was Benjamin's intention from the start. He never intended to hurt any of these elders, as they had not offended him ... .not yet, at least. But Elder Biscroft was a different topic, and he had to show that he was not
