The bald head of orange light shook itself laterally.

“Give me a second, Sir.”

A few seconds later, it replied.

“Apologies, Sir. The primary hardware that grants me access to the energy supply route has been physically damaged by a recent burst of power in the area. Their energy supply to this area will need to be manually shut down.”

Johnny Biggs didn't panic as he spoke to the AI assistant hovering over his clearly advanced wristwatch.

“Call the tech staff in the area and pass my instructions to them, ASAP!”

At this point, it was obvious that whatever needed to be done to put an end to this nightmare that had become a training simulation, it would take at least minutes. This amount of time, though, might not be something April could afford, as she was being endlessly bombarded from all sides by these needles being shot out with more than enough force to puncture tiny holes in the human body.
