A large door opened automatically as the people wearing animal masks approached a room. They continued pushing the metal boxes, passing rows of glass tubes, large screens, and people busy at work.

The boxes were suddenly pulled into the center of the room, lining up neatly in order. There were six boxes lined up on the left and right.

A light on the left side of the room suddenly turned on. A man wearing a red dragon mask suddenly emerged from a tube, walking toward the metal boxes.

The masked

Rose let out a long breath before explaining.“Two men hacked the prison’s security system and caused a massive riot. The prisoners attacked the guards, leaving many of them seriously injured.”“Their goal was obviously to escape. The police were forced to take decisive action. Most of the prisoners were secured, except for Ramon and several men suspected of having ties to the group that attacked the opposition politicians.”“The prisoners went completely berserk until...” Rose touched the left side of her waist and her right arm, both covered by her long-sleeved clothes.“They went completely out of control?” Peter said.Rose nodded. “They looked like they had taken something...”“Drugs or something like that?” Peter interrupted, shaking his head slightly.Rose studied Peter carefully.“I can't give you the details because you have no involvement in this matter. You just need to be careful. There’s a chance that group already suspects you and may come after you.”“I’ve said too much.

“Where am I?”Peter looked around, startled to see two men in the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat.“You two?”“You’re awake, sir?” one of Peter’s bodyguards said.Peter continued rubbing his head as he shifted closer to the window. The cityscape was gradually coming into view outside.“How did I end up here? Did you save me from...?”Peter suddenly fell silent as he recalled everything that had happened after escaping Thomas’s men.He had encountered Paul and his two companions—or, more accurately, given them a ride. But instead, they had knocked him unconscious. When he woke up, he had been in a difficult position, hearing explosions and fragments of the three people’s conversation about the group chasing them and their abilities. He remembered the car shaking, then the white smoke, followed by a silhouette approaching him before he lost consciousness again.Peter sat there in silence for a while, trying to remember every detail of what had happened. Those fragmented memor

“There has to be another way,” Paul said as he activated his ability. His vision instantly expanded, allowing him to see far beyond normal limits and through multiple objects. His irises turned ruby red, while veins bulged from his neck and spread across his face.Paul shook his head several times, trying to clear the dizziness. He forced himself to concentrate on controlling the car as it continued speeding down the narrow, rocky road.“I found a small road near the eastern exit. Those bastards haven’t reached it yet. If this car cooperates with us and the enemies aren’t too close, we can lose them and reach the city center as quickly as possible.”Maya let out a relieved breath. “That’s good.”“Move over, Paul! I’ll take over,” Patrick said.“Leave the car to me. You and Maya keep watching our surroundings, Patrick.”“You sure, Paul?”“Yeah. I’m sure.”Paul suddenly swerved the car onto a narrow path, causing the rear of the vehicle to slam into a tree. The entire car shook violentl

“Yes, that's definitely Paul. He just came out of those bushes with two of his friends. What happened to them? They look like a mess.”Peter slowed the car, watching the two men and one woman standing not far from a large tree. He suddenly remembered his previous encounter with Paul, especially what he had seen after touching him.“They look like they're running from something. No, someone. Should I help them?”Peter tightened his grip on the steering wheel as he watched the small screen displaying Paul, Maya, and Patrick running along the side of the road.“I need to save Melissa as soon as possible. I don't have time to get involved in someone else's problems.”Peter fell silent for a moment.“I know what I have to do.”Paul, Maya, and Patrick continued running along the side of the road, fleeing from something behind them. They were already exhausted, sweat soaking through their clothes. But they had no choice except to keep moving.“Damn it. They're getting closer,” Patrick said,

Peter stopped when two security guards blocked his path.“I need to get into the car immediately so I can stay with Miss Melissa,” Peter said.“You can't ride in the same car as Mr. Thomas and Miss Melissa. You have to come with us in that car.”One of the guards pointed toward a car parked behind the vehicle Melissa and Thomas had just gotten into.“But I can't leave Miss Melissa, especially in an emergency like this. I'm her personal bodyguard. I'm supposed to stay by her side.”“You can still keep an eye on Miss Melissa through the screen. Besides, what are you worried about if she's with Mr. Thomas? The guards accompanying them are highly trained.”“The internet is down right now,” Peter insisted. “So there's no way I can—”“You talk too much. Stop arguing, especially during an emergency like this. Just follow our orders.”Peter glanced at the car ahead, carefully observing the five guards surrounding it. Two of them reached for something inside their pants pockets.“All right. I

Melissa looked terrified, hugging herself as she checked her phone several times.“God, this damn internet is driving me crazy.”Peter watched the door with a faint smile.“Thomas couldn't have picked a better time to show up. I need to touch him if I want to find out what's really going on,” he muttered.Thomas knocked on the door several times.“Melissa, open the door.”Peter turned toward Melissa.“What are you going to do? Should I open it?”Melissa let out a long breath and tried to remain as calm as possible, even though both of her hands were trembling. A sudden wave of dizziness hit her, making her vision blur.“Melissa, are you in there?” Thomas called.“You can open it now.”Melissa leaned back in her chair and folded her arms across her chest. She looked relatively calm, although the fear and anxiety in her eyes were obvious.Peter slowly opened the door and peeked at Thomas through the gap.He immediately stepped in front of the doorway.“Get out of my way, asshole,” Thoma
