"You think you can just walk free once you know the truth? The Order never lets its targets live, Axel!" Gavan hissed right in his face as axe and spear locked tight. Steel clashed with an ear-splitting ring sending sparks bursting between them. Beneath Axel’s boots the charged tiles still hummed with power making his muscles twitch but he bit down hard and held the pain.

Sparks lit up Gavan’s face slick with sweat and fury. Axel snarled pouring every ounce of

Axel hit the frozen asphalt hard and his senses snapped back to him at once. Yet when he opened his eyes he saw the Monas monument floating upside down overhead beneath a sky with no sun. His vision swam dark at the edges. Pain radiated up his spine and through his ribs catching his breath again and again. Only moments ago he had fought beneath a crumbling Jakarta sky and heard the roar of a dimensional storm and Henderson’s screams. Now silence met him. A silence so alien it felt like a hand closing tight around his throat."Rena," Axel called out sharp with fear as he forced himself up. His palms pressed into cracked pavement cold and hard as a gravestone. "Rena answer me."He pulled himself upright and scanned every direction. His heart turned to ice in his chest as he understood the terrible truth. They had fallen through the gate and landed in the Realm of Shadows.Jakarta remained yet it was not the Jakarta he knew.Skyscrapers stood in impossible shapes. Some hung inverted bene

"Let her go old man," Axel shouted hoarse as he wrenched his black bone spear free from the ground. The moment the blade lifted the only anchor holding them in place vanished in an instant. Axel and Rena were swept higher still toward the heart of the dimensional vortex raging directly above Monas. Wind howled in from every direction spinning their bodies without mercy. Shards of concrete iron and glass tore through the air all around them like jagged projectiles ready to cut through anything in their path. The vortex roared so loud it felt like a thousand voices piling one upon another inside his head. Axel’s skin burned raw where dimensional energy scraped and wore at him. Yet his fingers stayed locked tight around Rena’s hand as though he would never let go. Far below them Henderson still held fast his sacred chain driven deep into marble ruin while his left hand clamped around Rena’s ankle with crushing force enough to shatter bone."You shall not escape your destined end," Hender

Without warning, Rena was torn from the ground and hurled skyward, pulled upward by the overwhelming suction of a swirling black vortex directly above the cracking National Monument. A cry tore from her throat as gravity lost its hold. Her long hair whipped wildly in the howling dimensional gale, while shards of concrete and jagged metal spun around her like ravenous beasts waiting to strike."Axel!" Rena screamed, her voice raw. She reached upward with all her strength, fingers trembling as she strained toward the only anchor she had left. The entire Monument grounds had become a ruin barely recognizable. The rift overhead warped gravity itself. Cars floated dozens of feet into the air. Trees were ripped root free from the earth. Marble slabs, steel girders, and building debris spun aimlessly beneath a violet sky tearing apart at the seams.Axel moved without hesitation. The instant his fingers closed around hers, he dr

The asphalt along Jalan Sudirman split wide open, spewing sulfurous violet vapor that melted the tires of trapped vehicles where they sat beneath a sky turning ash-gray. Screams rose and merged with the howl of gale-force winds battering the remains of skyscrapers. Great fissures snaked down the road like living wounds spreading ever wider, while violet light pulsed deep within the earth in a slow, heavy rhythm exactly like a giant’s heartbeat."Hold fast to my arm, Rena," Axel called out as he caught her wrist. He gasped for breath, and every movement sent pain lancing through his chest as though pierced by a thousand needles.Rena tightened her grip as another violent tremor shook the ground beneath them. "The road ahead is completely gone," she replied, her voice sharp with fear as she pointed toward the overpass that had crumbled and collapsed. "If we keep this way, we will fall with it."Axel stared at the dan

"If I cannot make you the Order’s weapon, then this city shall become a mass grave for us all!" Henderson cried hoarsely, holding the ancient device high. Blood still poured from his ruined shoulder and dripped through his fingers, yet his smile widened as his thumb pressed the crimson seal upon its surface.Axel, still kneeling in pooled rainwater, lifted his head. His breath came in ragged, heavy gasps. Blood trickled from the corners of his eyes and his ears, drawn forth by the backlash of 𝘝𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 eating him alive. But when he saw the device’s red light blinking faster and faster, a dread far worse than any physical wound struck him full in the chest."What have you done, Henderson?" Axel demanded. His voice rose sharply, edged with a warning never heard before. "Answer me!"Henderson laughed softly. The sound was rough and thick with a terrible satisfaction that made every hair stand on end.

The blade of Axel’s black bone spear tore through Henderson’s golden armor, slicing open the Grandmaster’s left shoulder so fresh blood poured down and soaked his fine robes. The screech of metal blended with the hum of dark energy that seared the air. Rain pouring through the shattered factory roof hissed where it met the black aura wrapping Axel, leaving thin swirling mist all around them."Damnation!" Henderson snarled. He leaped back several paces and pressed a hand hard to his wound, but blood still seeped thick through his fingers. For the first time this fight his composure cracked, and raw pain showed plainly on his face.Axel gave him no time to recover. With eyes turned entirely black, he stepped forward without hesitation. 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 𝘗𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦 surged wild through his veins, muscles coiling tight and dark veins faintly visible beneath his skin. Unleashed and unhinged, he pushed his power to its absolute limit
