The press members had gladly assembled in front of Delilah and Geoffrey’s estate, like hungry vultures circling their prey in hopes of getting the next juicy update on the family drama.

The cameras were flashing like lightning in a summer storm, mics raised and ready to feast on the next piece of scandal.

Delilah stood in front of the ornate gates, makeup barely holding against the tears already streaking down her face.

Her hair was pinned back neatly, her outfit prim and proper to show the image of elegance, but her hands trembled slightly, hinting at the storm inside her.

Geoffrey stood beside her, jaw tight, arms crossed, avoiding Julius’s gaze completely.

The reporters were already shouting over one another.

“Mrs. Lemar, are you here to clarify your statements?”

“Is it true your accusations were false?”

“Do you deny slandering your sister for personal gain?”

Delilah raised a hand, her voice faltering but audible through the mic.

“Please… let me speak.”

The shouting died down.

  • I'll be okay!

Miley turned her head. In the middle of Julius’ palm, was a seashell delicate, spiraled, pale pink with a glint of sheen that caught the morning sun.He tilted it between his fingers. “Tell me this doesn’t look like something you’d wear as earrings.”Miley burst into a laugh. “Only if I’m auditioning for the role of CEO for Mermaid Corp.”He grinned, "Technically, that could work for you. You've surely got the skillset for it." “You’ve officially lost it.”He offered it to her with a shrug. “Keep it. Might be valuable.”She took it, amused, and tucked it into the pocket of her beach robe. “Between the spontaneous resort buyout, the gold-plated waffles at breakfast, and your very dramatic bidding war over the massage villa yesterday… are you sure we are not accidentally filming a luxury reality show?”Julius smirked. “Should I have hired a drone crew?”“I’m just saying…”Miley said, nudging his elbow with hers, “this whole trip is beginning to feel more like an elite-level shopping sp

  • Help?

Julius walked towards the sales floor, wanting to see what was taking her so long. But Miley felt his presence behind her like gravity. Once he understood what was going on, he didn't spare a glance towards the sales girl, the heiress or the security guard who was pretending to fix a plant near the counter. He walked directly to the boutique manager.“I’ll take the entire wall… the bags and shoes too. I want it billed under Colton Holdings.”The manager turned in surprise. He was a trim man in his late forties with graying hair and a polished accent, but right now, he looked like a waiter who had just spilled wine on royalty and was being reprimanded for it. “S-Sir…”He stammered, "Are you absolutely certain? These are… very exclusive pieces, and our policy requires that if a guest has had more than three alcoholic beverages, we should—”“I haven’t had a drink.”Julius said, cutting him off.He reached into his jacket, pulled out a solid black card, and placed it gently on the coun

  • Appointment Only!

The spa lobby was buzzing with activity, until the doors opened and Julius Colton strode in, carrying a storm behind his eyes. All the conversations faded away in the middle, and the calming scent of eucalyptus was suddenly overpowered by tension. The front desk attendants froze. Spa guests whispered urgently to one another. Staff began straightening their uniforms, abandoning their tasks. Few knew his face, but everyone knew his name: he was the man who bought the entire resort chain within 24 hours of stepping foot there. What many didn’t know was that the spa was technically a separate entity, and had an exclusive cooperation agreement with the resort chain. Their contract gave the head of the Empire direct influence over management decisions, brand partnerships, and client policies. He wasn’t just a VIP, he was literally the hand that fed them. The older attendant who had been silent while dismissing Miley rushed forward with a wide smile, cooing in her best customer-service vo

  • CEO's favourite!

Julius adjusted the cuff of his sleeve and turned to the crowd, voice carrying with effortless command. “Thank you, everyone! Drinks are on me for all day today.” He announced, nodding toward the bar. Cheers erupted, followed by clapping, laughter, and glasses raised in celebration. People clinked their cocktails, already turning away from the drama and excited to try free top-shelf mojitos and imported champagne. Cassie, Natalie, and Morgan stood frozen in place, red-faced, humiliated, and now trapped in a corner. The remaining crowd had tightened like a velvet rope around them, murmuring and gawking at their audacity. The girls couldn’t move without bumping into someone’s phone camera or whispered judgment. Cassie glanced around, trying to find an escape route, but no route existed for her, without drawing more attention. Julius, cool as ice, looked to the hotel manager. “Empty out their rooms…” He said simply. “Leave them and their luggage at the front gate.” The manager

Cassie stepped towards Julius with a sultry sway of her hips, her fingers reaching out toward his chest. “I mean, if you ever get bored of the local flavor…” She purred, letting her palm brush arise the fabric of his shirt, and land on his smooth, toned chest. “I know a few… international dishes worth sampling.”Before her fingers could settle against his sun-warned skin, Julius grabbed her wrist and pulled it back. He wasn't harsh, but the gesture was firm enough to snap the illusion of her seduction. He spoke in a deadpan voice, like he was completely bored by her presence and approach. “Actually… I own the place. But please, finish your TED Talk on humility of new mindy, first.”Cassie stared at him for a moment, not expecting this at all. Her mouth parted in disbelief as he let go of her wrist, which fell to her side like dead weight. One of her friends immediately burst into laughter, a sudden, unexpected snort. “Oh, my god—Cassie turned sharply, her eyes blazing. “Chelsea.

  • Old friend?

The sound of waves lapping against the sand was peaceful, interrupted only occasionally by the clink of ice in a glass, or the voices of people talking in low volumes, or influencers recording the scenario. Miley was sitting under the shade of a white-draped cabana, her feet curled up on the lounge, trying her best to act like it was a normal morning. Like she hadn't been swept clean off her feet by Julius, when he had casually dismantled the resort’s management structure for her sake. She sipped her coconut smoothie slowly, eyes darting toward him over the rim of her glass. He sat beside her, his broad shoulders in full display for her entertainment while he was reading a newspaper– and yes, an actual physical copy. His linen shirt was neatly ironed, the only touch that hinted to the vacation’s casual vibe were his sunglasses, perched on his nose and reflecting the sea. Hs leg brushed against hers, and all Miley could think was that he was insane… Handsome, yes, but absolutely in
