The door slammed in Harry's face, leaving him standing in the hallway, frustrated and unconvinced.

Harry turned and walked back toward the stairs, his mind churning. Samuel's denial had seemed genuine, but Harry's instincts still screamed that something was wrong. He couldn't let this go.

What Harry didn't see was Frank, who had positioned himself in the stairwell below, listening to the entire exchange with growing interest.

Frank waited until Harry's footsteps had faded completely, then climbed the stairs to Samuel's floor. He knocked on the door—the same door Harry had just left.

Samuel yanked it open, expecting Harry. "I told you to—" He stopped when he saw Frank instead. "Who the hell are you?"

"Frank Solomon," Frank said with a cold smile. "Harry's brother. Can I come in?"

"No," Samuel said immediately, trying to close the door.

But Frank had already wedged his foot in the doorway. "I think you want to hear what I have to say, Samuel. Because I saw you. Three nights ago, outside

His speed was inhuman. One moment he was standing still, the next he was among them. He grabbed the lead guard's weapon and crushed the barrel in his hand like it was made of clay. A spinning kick sent another guard crashing into the wall, where he slumped unconscious. The third guard tried to swing his rifle at Harry like a club, but Harry caught it mid-swing, yanked it away, and delivered a precise strike to a nerve cluster that dropped the man instantly."He's a meta!" one of the remaining guards shouted into his radio. "We have a hostile meta in Section 7! Repeat, hostile meta—"Harry grabbed the radio and crushed it in his fist. Then he knocked the guard unconscious with a single punch. The last two guards tried to run, but Harry was faster. He blocked the door, and they collapsed when he struck pressure points Alfred had taught him years ago.Six guards lay unconscious on the floor. The entire fight had taken less than fifteen seconds."Harry," Alfred breathed, staring at the ca

Harry stared at his sister's unconscious form, and something inside him snapped. His hands began to glow with a faint light—the healing energy he could channel—but this time it was different. The light flickered with darker undertones, pulsing with barely controlled rage."Harry," Alfred said cautiously, noticing the phenomenon. "Harry, you need to calm down—""Calm down?" Harry's voice was dangerously quiet. "They've been torturing my sister for eighteen years. They've been experimenting on her like she's an animal. And you want me to calm down?""I know," Alice said gently, placing her hand on Harry's arm. The contact seemed to ground him slightly. "But we need to find her and get her out. We can't help her if we get caught. Focus on that. Focus on saving her."Harry took a shuddering breath, forcing the rage down. The glow around his hands faded. "You're right. Let's move."They continued deeper into the facility, passing rooms that made Harry's blood boil. Through one window, they

They descended carefully, Harry leading the way. The stairs went down much farther than seemed possible—one level, two levels, three levels deep into the earth."This is way beyond a normal basement," Alfred observed quietly. "This took serious construction. Serious money."At the bottom, they found a heavy steel security door. Harry didn't hesitate—he grabbed the handle and pulled, his enhanced strength tearing the lock mechanism completely out of the wall. The door swung open, and they stepped into a nightmare. The hallway beyond was lit with harsh fluorescent lights. White walls. Sterile tile floors. Multiple doors lined both sides, each labeled with a simple number."It's a medical facility," Alice whispered in horror. "An underground laboratory."Through a window in one door, they saw a room filled with medical equipment—monitors, IV stands, examination tables with restraints. Through another window, they glimpsed what looked like an operating theater with surgical lights and ins

The following night, Harry, Alice, and Alfred returned to the warehouse complex with supplies Alfred had gathered throughout the day. They parked several blocks away and approached on foot, staying in the shadows."Everyone remember the plan?" Harry asked quietly."Create a distraction, slip through the fence, get in and out as quietly as possible," Alice recited, checking the taser Alfred had given her."And if things go wrong?" Alfred prompted."We run," Harry replied. "No heroics. If we get caught, we can't help Lily."Alfred handed night vision goggles to Alice and kept a pair for himself. Harry didn't need them—his enhanced vision let him see clearly even in near darkness. They waited until midnight when, according to their observations, guard rotations changed and patrols were briefly minimal. Harry closed his eyes and focused his senses, mapping the positions of the guards through sound and movement."Six guards," Harry whispered. "Two at the main gate, two patrolling the north

Harry stood in his apartment that morning, showing Alice and Alfred the map he'd marked with the direction his senses were pulling him."The industrial district," Harry said, pointing to the eastern edge of the city. "That's where she is. I can feel it.""Harry, you need to think about this carefully," Alfred cautioned. "You can't just rush into—""I'm going today," Harry interrupted. "I've wasted fifteen years already. I'm not wasting another day.""Then I'm coming with you," Alice said firmly."Absolutely not," Harry replied immediately. "Alice, this could be dangerous—""I don't care," Alice interrupted. "Harry, I've been through danger before. I was kidnapped, remember? I'm not some damsel who needs protecting.""She's right," Alfred interjected. "And Harry, you need backup. If your sister is being held by the people I think are holding her, you can't face them alone."Harry wanted to argue but knew they were right. "Fine. But both of you do exactly what I say. If I sense danger,

Alfred looked at Harry's face—at the absolute certainty in his expression—and his skepticism faltered. "You really believe this was more than a dream.""I know it was," Harry replied. "Alfred, in my first life, I never had prophetic dreams or visions. But after I was reborn, I gained abilities I didn't have before—the danger sense, the enhanced healing, the strength. What if I have other abilities I haven't discovered yet? What if the connection to Lily—our shared bloodline—is allowing me to sense her somehow?""That's a significant leap in logic," Alfred cautioned."Is it?" Harry challenged. "Alfred, you've seen what I can do. You know I'm not normal. Why is it so hard to believe I might be able to sense someone I'm genetically connected to?"Alfred was quiet for a long moment. "What do you want to do?""I want to test something," Harry said, standing up. "If my healing powers can affect others, if I can sense danger before it happens, maybe I can sense life forces too. Especially so
