Chapter 19 The ophanage

At an orphanage

Priest Yu Il was sitting looking at some documents on his desk. The priest's brows furrowed together and he felt short of breath. The documents he was reading were bank documents stating the foreclosure of assets. and the deadline for moving out.

The orphanage is normally funded by the government but for unknown reasons the budget has been cut for no reason. This year has been the hardest year the orphanage has ever seen.

Priest Yu Il didn't have much choice. He didn't have enough money to support the children. Priest Yu Il was forced to borrow money from the bank using the land of the orphanage as collateral. Priest Yu Il, after borrowing money from the bank, he did everything to find a donor. so that he can pay back what he borrowed However, Priest Yu Il was unable to find a donor. And the debt has accumulated to the point that the bank wants to seize the property.

Priest Yu Il now knew that he was facing a big problem. He had nowhere to rely. The bank may take pity and extend the time. But even extending it wasn't enough to allow the priest to turn things over.

Long Yuil could only sigh and didn't know how to proceed. And as he was confused, the priest heard someone's footsteps approaching. Priest Yu Il hurriedly hid the documents on the table. He didn't want anyone to meet him for fear that it would terrify the children.

Su Hee, a girl around twelve years old, stood in front of the door before speaking.

“Father, Mr.Tae Won came to see you.”

Tae Won is a bank manager who manages the land inside the orphanage. He was an indifferent person. and think only of their own interests He didn't care what the orphanage was like. This is not about him.

The priest walked out of the room, his expression not very good. Seeing the priest's expression, Su Hee couldn't help but ask. Soo Hee is a smart kid. What could she know just by listening to the conversation and the condition of the Priest?

“Father, they're going to kick us out of here, right? We'll have somewhere to go, right?"

The road ahead of the orphans was not good. They only had this place to call home. Su Hee couldn't help being scared.

Priest Yu Il, who saw Suhee's terror, gave a gentle smile before rubbing her head.

“Absolutely not. We won't have to go anywhere. We still have time. I believe I can find someone who will donate for us.”

Priest Yu Il tried to speak with the most confident voice. He had decided not to give up until the very end. Priest Yu Il, when he was a child, he was an orphan. He knew what the future of these children would be if they weren't here. He would never allow the children to experience what he had experienced. Society is always cruel to people who can't take care of themselves.

Priest Yu Il, after consoling Soo Hee, took a deep breath before walking to the reception room to face the bank manager Tae Won.

Priest Yu Il walked into the parlor to find Tae-Won smoking a cigar. He didn't seem to care about the rules of the orphanage at all. Priest Yu Il couldn't help but get a little angry.

“Excuse me. This is an orphanage. You can not smoke here."

Tae Won pretended to be indifferent and continued to suck on his cigar before speaking up in a disturbing tone.

“Father, have you seen the document? Father has only one week left to return the money. Otherwise, I would have to ask Father and the lovely children here to move out. Otherwise there will be a violation of the law.”

Tae Won spoke with a voice full of arrogance. He sucks on a cigar and throws it towards the priest's way.

The money that Priest Yu Il borrowed was more than three million won. But compared to the price of the land, three million won was nothing. Taewon was currently thinking about the money he could earn and he laughed disgustingly. He didn't care about virtue at all. He sat and waited for days and nights. Wait for this guy to put his head out so he can get the money that's his.

“Not really. According to the document, we still have two months left. You have no right to reduce the time like this.”

“So that's it. According to the contract, it really states that. But legally we can enforce early closure if we feel unsure of the borrower's abilities.”

Tae Won took out the contract that was in his pocket. before pointing fingers at the terms This part of the terms is typed in a very small font, making it easy not to see it.

Tae Won wanted to reduce the time because he heard that a large company was looking for land to build a commercial building. The company will purchase the property for a beautiful price of 1 billion won, which is a huge sum compared to mere money.
