The people on the roof of the houses weren't that much of a threat to Arnold, Halmer, Marielle, and Gojack. After defeating most of Butcher's men, the four of them went against the man responsible for the ice dome, Butcher himself.

On the other hand, Vixen and Androgen against four retired knights were also the main force Butcher has in reserve.

In other words, among the many men Butcher has, the five of them are the strongest. Most of the guys were just fillers to the story, who did not even put up a fight against the overwhelming abilities of the four leaders together. They served their purpose, to give the four leaders their warm-up for the upcoming battle against Butcher.
