Chapter 10

Seeing that his complaints about Charles was already pissing lady Marcus as was lost in deep thoughts of what to do next after hearing that Don Albert was already bankrupted and handicapped by the new but mysterious Chairman of Shell PLC, London, Mr Benjamin quickly retracted his stand and assuring Jack that he would surely deal with the useless and nobody like Charles Walker. After retracting his stand, he then asked lady Marcus, “Mom, what are we going to do now that there is a new turn of events towards Don Albert? Can't we reapproach Mr Stafford again and who knows, he might change his mind, compromise his initial stands and reconsider our Thompson group.”

Jack joined the conversation immediately with the intention of making the old lady happy once again and maintaining his best grandson status before her.

“Grandma, my Dad is right here because Stafford Theo wouldn't want to associate with Don Albert again knowing that he had gone bankrupt and fired from Shell PLC. This would also present us an opportunity to leverage on Don's condition to get a better man for Olivia. I also learnt that Megan group is now ready for trading and most investors will be entering Wales City from all corners of Great Britain to have their slice of the trade and we might also pitch our hand their for a share.”

“Really?”

“Yes, Dad! And from records, Megan group is currently the most ultramodern trade hub in Great Britain as there will be petrochemical subsidiaries, fashions, interior decors, pharmaceuticals, exchange, Event centers, Hotel and relaxation hub and oil trading in those facilities.”

Saying this, Jack looked up to lady Marcus to guess her reactions and took his opinion from her facial expressions. Seeing that her expressions were still unpleasant, he asked teasingly. “Grandma, what's the matter?”

Lady Marcus was still lost in thought of what to do next and angered by the continued unreasonable talks from his beloved son and grandson that if not the fact that she loved them to heart, she would have ordered them out of the Villa a long time ago.

Owing to their continuous disturbance, the old lady spoke up in a raged voice. “ How unreasonable have you both become over hours? Don't you know that Don Albert is directly Mr Stafford Theo's nephew and anything that happened to him affects him? If Olivia refused to marry Don Albert, he would never reconsider our Thompson petrochemical group. However, I can't allow Olivia to ruin my plans.”

“Albeit, have I not told you all to leave and reconvene here in two days time? What are you both still doing here? Or you want me to use guards to take you out of my presence before you both learn that I need privacy right now?”

“I am so sorry Mom! I never meant to offend you with my suggestions. I will have to leave you now. Please, don't be angry with me, sweet Mom,” Benjamin teased Lady Marcus.

“I'm very sorry Grandma, I didn't mean to pissed you upwl with my contribution. From now onward, I will never bring such a contribution again unless it had been requested by you,” Jack chipped in.

“Alright!”

“Both of you should leave now, I will consider your contributions and make my stands on it clear for you when you reconvene in the next two days but for now leave my presence.”

Benjamin and his son, Jack could not understand why lady Marcus was suddenly mad at them of all people in the family but they only had to leave her presence that moment. Meanwhile, lady Marcus never meant to humiliate her favorite son and grandson but she needed to be left alone so that she can figure out how well to deal with the useless Charles Walker who had refused to leave her granddaughter and also how she could deal with Andrea Marcus for failing to teach her daughter Olivia how to be respectful towards her by obeying her commands and divorce Charles.

Moreso, she didn't want Olivia, her parents and that useless bitch inclusive to know that she was actually planning on how to exploit and deal with them with her favorite child and grandchild inorder to avoid creating unnecessary and unwanted enemies among her children.

“Thank you so much mom!”

“Thank you so much Grandma!”

Jack and his Dad, Benjamin said coincidentally while bowing down their heads to show their ultimate respects to the old lady before leaving her presence.

The Old was satisfied with the level of respect that had been displayed by her son and grandson and then said to them “I will see to your contributions in two days time and be rest assured that I will surely repay your loyalty towards me Jack.”

Jack was overjoyed hearing her grandma say that she would repay him and could not hold it to himself than to enquire from his dad what he would ask lady Marcus to repay his loyalty towards her and the Marcus family with.

“Dad, do you think that Grandma will keep her promise?”

“Yes! Why won't she?”

“What should I ask her to repay me with?”

“How about you asking her to make you the director of Thompson petrochemical group or to buy you a Ferrari sports car?”

Jack has been fancying and yearning to have Ferrari sports car for 6 months but have not got the opportunity to make such request from his grandmother and the other that he wanted to make the request during his younger sister's wedding ceremony, his useless cousin-inlaw, Charles Walker had deprived him of it with useless and greedy request.

He quickly told his Dad happily, “I will ask her for a Ferrari sports car, then. How did you see it Dad?”

“It's fine and okay if that's what you want son!”

“Thank so much Dad, you're the best in the whole world.”

“It is time to level up and show Olivia and her useless husband what I'm capable of doing when I finally get my Ferrari sports car from Grandma. It will also help me to get Brendan Smith to my good page.”

Brendan Smith is the charming heiress to the London’s Construction Chief who contracted the building of Megan group and Jack has always had his eyes on her trying all he could to get into her good books so that he can as well use her dad's connection to get more favor from Lady Marcus when he finally gets a slab of Megan group investment facilities.

Hearing this, Mr Benjamin said satiforily, “I have always known you to be a capable son and I assure you that Mom will definitely promote you should succeed in helping Thompson petrochemical group to get a slab of Megan group facilities upon their launching.”
