Ren Tian stood on the balcony of his pavilion, his eyes staring at the tip of the mountain with a tense expression. The sound of slow steps approached him. Lin Yue appeared carrying a cup of hot tea.
"Still can't sleep?" she asked softly.
Ren Tian took the cup without saying anything. He took a small sip, then nodded. "I feel... something will happen in the near future."
"It's not just a feeling," interrupted a heavy voice from behind. Master Shen stepped in, his face dark. "The Dark Sect is starting to make its move. Just this morning, the Snow Dragon Sect's branch headquarters was found destroyed-no one survived."
Lin Yue was wide-eyed. "What... they attacked without warning?"
