In the hotel room, Raymond smiled as he took the wine glass and handed it to Vicky. She nodded slightly, never took the drink but held it.

Normally, Raymond had anticipated that she would take a sip, but the opposite happened, and he didn’t intend to force her, knowing she might get suspicious of his attempt.

The thought of his yet-unfolded plans still lingered in his mind, even though Owen was his best friend, and they started together.

Raymond didn’t care about that; all his life, he had wanted an opportunity to take over the company, but knowing Owen was still alive and had been showing his son the ropes of the business, this made him more furious that he couldn’t help but find a way.
