Aaron was about to utter a word but got cut off by the old lady. He gritted his teeth in annoyance and shot her a cold and menacing glance.

“Asher, you wouldn’t believe what happened. These men.”

Asher cut her off, “I wasn’t asking you,” he said firmly.

Mrs Deborah’s face turned red, and her expression darkened. “Did Asher just do that to me?”

What audacity!

Aaron and his friends almost burst into laughter when they saw the expression on her face, but they held their teeth from shining so as not to offend Mr. Mancini.

Aaron exhaled softly as he began to recount the event of that day. He felt a bit embarrassed explaining himself; he knew he made a big mistake, but he was only trying to double his money, and such opportunities come once.

The small crowd gasped in shock; their expressions were mixed. At first, they thought Aaron and his men were trying to take advantage of her because he had borrowed her money but it was far from what they thought.
