Damon was immersed in the loud audios of a game, this time he was handling an old joystick and was moving it around tactically. He had changed his clothes and had tried to clean his room for the first time in a long time but his efforts were barely seen.

{Welcome player. Would you like to log into Dragon Dynamics?.}

The system interface caught Damon's attention and he instantly dropped the joystick on the table and dusted his clothes, he had been waiting for hours but still nothing and that was when he had decided to pass time by cleaning and playing a few games. He had also bought a few meals to go from the restaurant he had visited that morning and he had spent quite the amount raising his mental defense and he had finally got it loaded to an hundred percent.

"Finally."

Damon said with excitement laced in his voice, now he could go back and continue his adventure, his hidden quest. Although he was still stuck at level one and hadn't made any progress in becoming the strongest dragon.

"Yes, I would like to log in."

{Kindly wait. You are being logged into the world of Dragon Dynamics.}

Damon readied himself as he felt that familiar dizziness hitting in on him as his vision blurs out and his head hits the table with a soft thud.

***********

Damon opened his eyes and blinks a few times as they adjust to the dark cold scenery he didn't need telling to remember. The awful smell hit him like an hammer against the head and he instinctively held his nose with two of his fingers. He tilted his head to look at the cell's gate and saw the she-dragon from before alongside a set of fully armoured guards armed with swords, spears and variety of weapons. It didn't take him minutes to guess that this guards were much more skilled and stronger than the last he had seen.

The cell's gate was opened and the guards walked in with rhythm, the she-dragon walks in after them and once she does they pulled out their weapons and pointed them at him steadily.

"Stand up human scum, your fate has been decided."

The she-dragon said with a straight face, she was probably trying to look as serious as possible but Damon knew better because beneath that serious face was probably a scowl or a disgusted expression that radiated the hate she had for the human race.

"That's not a very nice thing to say she-dragon, my fate can't be decided..."

Damon was interrupted by a punch to the face from one the guards present, he grunted and coughed as he choked on his own blood. His upper lip was busted by the impact and a tooth was loose.

"What the hell!"

Damon shouted as he instinctively licked the wound and tasted the blood, the taste of iron and flesh made him want to throw up but a part of him found it thrilling and exciting to taste blood. He growled as he shot a glare at the guard who punched him in the face, he straightened his posture and took a few steps towards the group of humanoid looking dragons but he was soon stopped by pointed spears and swords. To think he was considered a threat.

"I owe you a punch."

Damon said with a finger pointed at the guard responsible for his wound. The she-dragon cleared her throat and looked at Damon sternly, it was like she was carefully picking her choice of words for reasons unknown to the rest of them gathered.

"Like I said, your fate as been decided and you shall be judged by the war council."

"And like I said it's rude to decide my fate without letting me have a say in that decision."

The two of them glared at eachother for what felt like an eternity before they were interrupted by a guard who was either curious or fed up by the amount of time the two were letting slip on something as insignificant as a glare.

"Your highness, do we bind him?."

Damon was caught off guard by the amount of respect paid to the dragon he had simply refered to as a she-dragon, now he knew why he had a loose tooth but that still didn't stop him from asking.

"Wait your highness?, what's going on, are you like the emperor's spoilt brat or something?."

The next punch that followed felt much more stronger than the last and Damon was cursing as he choked and coughed on his blood a second time.

"Hold on a minute, why do you smell like him?."

"Like who?."

"Nevermind. Bind him."

Damon coughed once more as the guards displayed extra large chains that they wrapped around his body and held in place. Damon tried to wiggle himself out of the bind as it had been wrapped a little bit too tightly pressing his bones and flesh together.

"This is uncomfortable, can't you ease it up a bit?."

"You are nothing but scum, a waste that walks the expanse of the world hopelessly and without ambition. You humans don't deserve to live and you're all better off dead, maybe with the extinction of the human race the world might know peace once again."

The words the princess uttered hit Damon like a stake to the heart, no matter the situation he found himself in he never really liked the humans around. But now, now he felt an unexplainable weight press down on him as the insults settled.

The guards pulled Damon to his feet and pushed him out of the cell, he was lost in a world of his own as shame pressed against his neck choking him. He couldn't find words to explain why her insults stinged, was it because he was human or because he was truly pained by the fact that he wasn't like the rest of the outside world but was being seen as such.

He was so lost that he didn't know when he was forced to sit on a chair and was binded firmly. It wasn't until he had been fully binded in place did he look around him, in was in some sort of court but it was merely the expanse of a room. Before him were seven humanoid dragons consisting of five male and two females, they all looked old but yet young. Their appearances looked awfully out of place but he couldn't explain it.

"Are you the dragon slayer that claimed to have put an end to the existence of the elder dragon 'Thorne'?."

"Yes, I slayed Thorne."

Damon answered plainly, there was no need to say he had slain it with the help of his party members. They no longer existed within the game and so no credit could be awarded to their names....He had done it alone because he was independent and strong, stronger than they all thought.

"Is it true that you claim to have inherited the bloodline of 'Thorne'?."

Damon chuckled, what was he doing?, wasn't this all a game?, why couldn't he do as he pleased?. Why was he bounded by emotions that weren't supposed to have effect on him?.

"It's true that I slayed him and inherited his bloodline afterall he was fucking weak."

Damon replied with a smirk on his face, he had decided what his own goal was and what he was going to do in the world of Dragon Dynamics..he was going to have fun.

He gulped as he squinted his eyes and tried to take a better look, the wind blew softly and swept the helm of the persons out into the light and Damon finally relaxed after seeing the helm of the dress."I know it's you princess."Damon said with a frown, he was quite thrown off by Lena's attempt to frighten him but he relaxed as it was an indication that she was probably warming up to him."Huh...what do you mean princess?, I am an assassin sent to put an end to your pathetic existence."Damon smiled, her forced tone was being softened and that meant he had surprised her by calling her princess. He turned to look at her an

The tavern was bustling with life as usual, make and female dragons drank and ate as they raised their voices while some sat and spoke in whispers. Damon, Fabien, Mirana and Leonard were seated at the table that was fixed at a dark corner of the tavern, Fabien had chosen the spot with a reason that said he wanted to avoid the crowd as much as possible and Damon wanted the same thing too so they had chosen it. Mirana and Leonard had however complained and stated that they wanted to party with crowd and have fun before the sun rose into view the next morning, Lena on the other hand had told them to enjoy themselves as she claimed she had important matters to attend to and also had things to report to the war council concerning the teams progress for the day."I really can't wait for tomorrow, I'm so fired up."Mirana said as she laughed and drank from the wooden cup before her, she gulped down it's contents and smiled with satisfaction before wiping her mouth clean with the back of her

"You've got to be kidding me."Damon said as he groaned and grunted and growled, why did it always have to be that he was jumping from one dilemma to the other? Why couldn't things just go smoothly? The hobo-goblins Lena had told him he didn't have to hunt down were the ones charging towards them and they were armed, why?"I'll take the one on the left, you take the one on the right."Lena declared as she ran off, Damon looked at her and was just about to protest on despair when an hobo-goblin stood before him. There was blood splattered on it's green skin and on the pelt it wore around it's waist, it's right eye was milky white which stated that the eye was no more longer functional."Why does this always have to happen?"Damon mused as he readied himself, once the hobo-goblin got closer Damon ran towards his right which he suspected was it's blind spot. For a while the hobo-goblin couldn't find Damon but soon enough it turned it's head and looked at Damon who's sword was raised in pr

  • CHAPTER SIXTEEN

"Finally, I'm saved."Damon rejoiced as he watched Lena land on her feet after jumping down from the tree, her hair was being blown by the wind and her face was straight which meant she had grown serious. For Lena to have intervened it could mean only one thing, if she had wasted the fraction of a minute Damon was sure to become slime food."Puru."The slime wobbled and looked at the hole in it's body which was freezing up at an incredibly slow pace. It looked confused as it made the sound but much more quieter this time, it almost made Damon sad that the creature was going to die at Lena's hands but then the slime made the one annoying sound Damon despised and this time it sounded like it was truly pissed off.It raised it's hand and tried to hit Lena with it but being an archer and partly because she was a dragon, Lena jumped out of the way and with swift precision blasted two more holes in the slimes deformed body. The slime released it's sound and waved it's hands in the air errat

Damon frowned with his brows furrowed, he was drenched in his own sweat and he was panting with his chest heaving as he glared at the slime bunnies that had now surrounded him.One of the slime bunnies tilted it's body to the left and right before bouncing off the patch of grass it had been standing on and towards Damon. Damon inhaled and exhaled as he saw the slime bunny bounce towards him, with the speed he could gather he charged towards the bunny and knocked it back with his shield before attempting to slice it in two."Damn it!"Damon cursed as he missed, the slime bunnies had been attacking him and dodging his attacks while deliberately wearing him out so they could finish him off. That was their strategy."Those bunnies might small but they are not stupid, if you aren't careful you'll be down before you know it."Lena said. She had been sitting on a tree branch ever since the slime bunnies had gathered and she had given the excuse of not wanting to get in Damon's way which slig
