Richard opened the door and got in

"Richard" Love said anxiously.

"Well… Richard" She was about to open the car door when Greg held her hand firmly.

The driver started the car and drove away.

She stomped her feet on the ground and glared at Greg before she walked into her school.

"Military Governor Albert, my daughter becomes a hostage in place of your son, If you don't publish an open telegram tomorrow morning. You won't get a penny of military expenses from me" Lincoln told the Military Governor.

Military Governor P**e, Military Governor Albert and Bremo and his two friends are in the Lincoln living room.

Military Governor Albert exhaled.

"Mr Lincoln, what do you mean? Don't forget while you are doing such a big business in Los Angeles, if you don't have Military Governor Albert to back you up, if you don't have guns to protect you, even if you are filthy rich, you are just a fat lamb in the eyes of others'' Military Governor P**e said.

"Then let me get it straight, If anything happens to my daughter, even if I'm a fat lamb, you guys won't be able to take a bite of meat from me again" Lincoln said and walked away.

Military Governor Albert and P**e look at him in shock.

"Say no more" Military Governor Albert warned P**e who was about to say something.

"It is something that concerns his daughter's life, '' Mr Lincoln also says out of desperation. This is not time to argue things out" Military Governor Albert said.

Bremo walked and stood in front of his father "Father, I think, I'd better go and meet Richard, I want to try to persuade him again. Now we are in need of military force. If we can take the Bush army under our command it will be beneficial to us" .

"Ever since Bush wood died, the Bush army has been earning their living by fighting for the garrison commanders. Such mercenaries are ready to serve anybody who feeds them. Even if they are taken under our command, they wouldn't be loyal to me" Military Governor Albert.

"Father, there is no need to worry, if Richard is really intent in putting on desperate fight, he could've published an open telegram to the nation himself to declare his occupation of Los Angeles, he wants to get your recognition, which shows he doesn't want to openly make enemies with the military Governor's office, he took Arci away just to find an out for himself" Bremo analyzed

Richard's new office.

Richard walked into the new office where Drey was working before.

A soldier walked out of the office.

"Marshal Richard" He saluted his hand, there was a tray.

Richard glanced at the tray and glanced at Arci who also stared at him in return.

He ordered them to give her food, he thought the little chick wouldn't eat.

He chuckled inwardly but his face was still straight.

He dismissed the soldier.

"Yes" the soldier left.

He walked closer to Arci.

"Your soldiers did rather sloppy work, didn't they? How can they make coffee with boiled water? The coffee was too sweet, But the food was Okay except that it was too oily. Bring something bland next time." Arci said as she dropped the cup of coffee in her hand to the table.

"You are enjoying being a hostage very much, aren't you?" Richard said as he stood in her front with his hands folded on his chest.

"I take things as they come. You dare not do anything to me anyway." Arci replied.

"Dare not do anything to you?" He said coldly.

Arci back stiffened but she tried to keep her calm.

Richard glanced at her and started removing his clothes, he started by removing his belt.

Arci gaze shranked, she quickly stood up from the chair.

"What do you want?" Arci asked as Richard walked towards her step by step still unbuttoning his soldier clothes.

She quickly tried to walk out of the office, Richard grabbed her and wrapped his arm on her neck.

She struggles but he is too strong.

"Give me my mother's ashes back to me," Arci said.

"That depends on when your soon to be father-in-law Albert will publish an open telegram" Richard replied.

Arci removed his hand from her neck forcefully and glared at him after she was freed.

"Don't get so close to me while you are talking. I can hear you" Arci said as she stepped back from him.

"Alright, then tell me, are you really going to marry Bremo?" He asked.

"It's a lie," Arci replied as she sat down.

"You are really honest tho. Tell me why did you lie to me? Why did you offer to replace Bremo as the hostage?" Richard asked as he sat down in front of her front.

"He saved my life before. I did it as a return of favor" 

"Just that?"

"Just that".

He nodded.

"Then it is your turn to answer my question. Why did you agree to let me replace Bremo?" Arci asked.

"As I said before, when such a beautiful Lady offered to go with me, why would I say no?" He said as he teased her by grabbing her chin, Arci glared at him and shook off his, he grabbed it again, She shook off his hand. Richard chuckle, 'she is so cute' 

"Do you think I'll buy your story?" Arci glared at him.

Richard moved his face closer to her and stared at her, "Then do you think I'll buy yours?You didn't come to Los Angeles just for your mother's burial, Right?" 

"I was telling the truth," Arci replied.

He smirked and put his hand in his pocket and brought out her diary. She quickly stood up and tried to collect it.

He pushed her to where she sat down before, he put the diary back in his pocket.

"I've taken the time to read it, in fact, you are the real legitimate daughter of the Lincoln family. The current madam Dawn in the Lincoln now actually used to be your mother's bride servant girl and your younger sister is the illegitimate daughter of your father and the bride servant girl right? Unfortunately, your brother died tragically ten years ago and your mother took you to America in distress. Hence, the bride servant girl and the illegitimate daughter became legitimate members of your family, nobody could take this aggravation, if this happened to them, huh?" Richard said.
