Jordan stopped after noticing the darkness From a nearby alley where the lights had failed. And two men suddenly emerged from the darkness, moving slowly and deliberately toward him, like a lion mirroring its prey.

“Who could they be?” Jordan thought to himself, confused and puzzled.

“Please… I don’t have anything, be it cash, an expensive watch or a full bank account stuck with money. Am just a broke guy who got betrayed by love,” Jordan stammered, heart racing. But it seems the men approaching him cared less as expected.

All Jordan had left was ten dollars. He’d been paid fifty and spent forty of it on the necklace he bought for Sophia.

Jordan turned to run—but two more men appeared behind him. Now he was surrounded with no way out.

“We’re not here to chat or debate with you, if you know what is right, you better do the needful,” one of the men groaned, making Jordan snap. “Hand over everything you’ve got before we act harshly towards you,” one of the men demanded, stretching his hands toward jordan.

“I swear, I have nothing!” Jordan pleaded.

Before he could react, one of the men grabbed him from behind and started searching his pockets. After stroking his hands towards Jordan's pocket he found a hidden ten-dollar bill starched like a ball.

“Please... please, that’s all I have,” Jordan begged, clutching at the money. He tried to wrest it back, but the man pulled out a gun.

“Let go—or I’ll shoot.”

Jordan froze. Too late, he realized the danger.

The gun fired.

A lacing sharp pain exploded in his chest. And then he gradually collapsed to the ground. His vision began to blur. He lifted his trembling hand to his chest and suddenly noticed a pool of blood soaked in his fingers. He’d been shot—twice in the chest and there was no chance of survival because the hit was at a vital point and very severe.

“Is this blood, am I being shot, am i actually dying?” Jordan thought to himself, his eyes blinking in disbelief, his breath gradually seizing.

Jordan's gaze set upwards and the only thing he could see was the night sky, the stars fading into the haze of his vision.

And then—nothing.

Somewhere else in the kingdom of Sinclair, another world entirely, The desperate cries of a woman in labor echoed through the palace hallway like a thunderstorm breaking from sky to sky, the tension hardened and heart beat raising uncontrollably. Servants gathered anxiously at the door, whispering prayers for a safe delivery.

“Laura, keep pushing! If you stop now, the baby could die. You have to try!” urged Fiona, the palace nurse, her white gown stained with sweat. She gently stroked Laura’s hair gracefully as she encouraged her to try her best.

And then the cries increased as Laura pushed harder.

“Yes, that’s it. You’re almost there—just a little more!” Fiona urged desperately, her voice Louder than before.

Moments later after the successful labour, Fiona held a newborn baby in her arms. Her expression softened as she looked at the tiny, wriggling baby body with a warm smile that brightens her heart with expectations.

“It’s a miracle,” she breathed softly. “A baby boy. The true heir to the throne is born, the one who will carry on with his father’s legacy and strength.”

Fiona then brushed her fingers over the baby's soft, dark hair, her hands moving towards his cheek.

Just after her hands moved from the baby's cheek, the newborn opened his eyes—wide, curious, alert. Fiona froze, stunned. A baby’s eyes shouldn’t open this soon, and yet his gaze moved around the room with eerie awareness.

Where is this? Where am I? a voice echoed inside the child’s mind.

Though his mouth couldn’t form the words, the thoughts were unmistakably his—Jordan’s, who was shot dead on the chest.

He had been reincarnated into another different world entirely.

Who is this woman staring at me? he wondered.

He tried to move, but his tiny body wouldn’t cooperate, he wasn't in control of the body he was reincarnated into. Instead, a soft cry escaped his lips as the newborn began crying.

Somehow, Jordan remembered. The gun. The pain. The darkness that engulfed his blurry eyes before everything went into nothingness.

“He's so adorable when he cries,” Fiona cooed. “Take him and clean him. Bring him back for feeding,” Fiona then instructed the servant beside her, and just then two servants stepped forward and carried the newborn baby away.

Fiona turned to Laura—but something was wrong. Her chest was still, there Wasn't any sign of life present.

“No...” Fiona whispered under her breath. She rushed to check Laura Impulse, but nothing was moving, she wasn't breathing.

“Could she be dead?” Fiona murmured, her eyes widening in disbelief.

Meanwhile, Jordan was placed in a small, round, wooden basin filled with clean water while the servant who took him washed him gracefully and gently. As the servants were getting Jordan cleaned, something unexpected happened.

A translucent screen appeared before his eyes, floating in midair. Only he could see it and this got him stunned.

What is this? he thought to himself, eyes widening.

The screen displayed a message in text he could easily understand:

Palvic’s entire body glowed a radiant color that seemed to cancel the black and white color that had been within his diameter. His eyes glowed, and in the next seconds he spread his arms. And things happened so slowly that Jordan could see how the blast started.“Hehe…” a sneer carved from Palvic lips. The blast cast out a round ball, glowing so brightly that when it touched the ground, the earth blasted open, and in every second it spread, it consumed anything in its path, disintegrating it into chunks of dust.Jordan, seeing the intensity of the blast closing in rage at him, could only gasp. “What the fuck.”It was at that same moment the shield, which he had accepted to use and that would last for at least ten seconds, activated, creating a round yellow shield around him. The shield was just so strong that it repelled anything that touched it.Jordan couldn’t even see Palvic due to how the attack had created, it; at some point Jordan even feared that if the attack made contact with

The creatures are very strong, but they are made from same body which means, they could split thereafter and reform into one single, giant monster.Jordan looks at Palvic for the second time. "What is your suggestion.""My suggestion is that." Before Palvic could finish his words, everything went silent, it was as though time paused itself, and everywhere which was once colourful, all turned to two colour intercept, white and black. It all happened within seconds, Jordan gazed around. "What happened."The entire place seems to be unnatural, all the colours that it is meant to have had changed to just two colours which is black and white.Palvic who is still on Jordan's shoulders gazed around, before setting his gaze downwards. "This is a technique that could only be done by demons, and only high ranking demon could be able to perfect it. As it seems, we are drawn into a reality space-time where time itself doesn't exist, and the only way we could get out of here is if we kill whatever

  • The Unknown Creature

They both were active, watching from all angles, and Sage was also active; he could tell that something was around them, he could see its track, but he couldn’t pinpoint its location, which shows how fast it was.Sage suddenly stopped. “The more we move, the more we make things worse.”Jordan hadn’t yet understood what Sage meant, and when Sage explained the situation to him, Jordan immediately understood. The truth was that the creature, or perhaps the demon who was around them, could only come out at night; they don’t have eyes, they only use sound to see their prey. That was why Ethan was trying his best to make sure they reached the other border on time before nightfall.“Now I see why he keeps repeating those words.” Jordan mumbled, looking at Ethan, who was still sleeping and snoring; his snore alone was enough to make things worse. Now Jordan was left to figure things out. Whatever the creature that was closing in on them in the most tricky way, it is very fast. Then how are th

  • Remain Vigilant

A thought immediately ran into Ethan’s mind as he heard those words from the man, but the reverse was the case; he knew if the man were to chase after the horse, there wouldn’t be more time for them to reach the Southern Water tribe Kingdom on time before night fully falls.“Hmmm, he could really be useful. What if I turn him into my horse instead?” This thought ran into Ethan’s mind as he gently stroked his beard.“No, instead you should do something else.” Ethan finally spoke his mind, but the man was still unsure as to what Ethan had meant by something else, but because the man was desperate to embark on the journey with them, he nodded in agreement.“I can do anything; just tell me.”Jordan was staring at both men as they conversed, and Jordan also knew that Ethan must have something in mind; he just didn’t know what exactly, but he knew it was actually something very foolish.Ethan sneered at the man, then he shrugged his shoulders before speaking. “What I want you to do is basic

Jordan had also sensed that someone was following them but was so stunned that he didn't notice it earlier before now, which means the person had somehow concealed his energy, making him unable to be detected. The person soon revealed himself from the bush, but they still couldn't see him; it was when he talked that their gaze shifted to the sound. “Please don't kill me.”It was when the man spoke that he began to turn visible; this kind of ability is similar to James' wife's, thus it's being said to be a weak ability, but it has unique attributes, and it could mostly be used for spying.Jordan, recognizing who the man was, chuckled with a sneer. “Hmmmm, he could be useful, but then I have to know the reason he had been following us.”Jordan then shifted his gaze to Ethan. “You don't have to think the other way round; the man is of no harm.”The man was always looking so scared that his leg was trembling when he saw Ethan was about to detonate the smoke bomb in his hands.Facing the m

  • Up To The South

Jordan was still thinking things through on how possible it was for Ethan to get a wand that could actually mean a life of an Akabian, meaning no one apart from an Akabian can own a wand, and even though they do, it won’t be active because a wand is fused with an Akabian life.Ethan then shifted his gaze to Jordan, who was staring blankly and confused. “Watch this, little Lord Ryan.”Ethan sneered so proudly as though he was set to perform a magic trick; thus, that was obviously what he wanted to do.He lifted the wand, and while sneering and poking his lips, he flapped it, and in those moments a shining dust sprinkled from the tip of the wand, and when it touched the luggage, they all immediately shrank into small bags that could fit into a pocket.Jordan was stunned when he saw this at closer range; not only did Ethan just prove that he had done magic with a wand, which he wasn’t supposed to be able to do, but he had also set a puzzle within Jordan, making him extremely curious.“Ho
