“I think it’s time to use my elemental power,” Jordan muttered under his breath.

He dismissed his blade back into his system store, then braced his stance strongly to the ground. His fist planting deeply and his posture firm, he conjured a surge of fire element and hurled it at the creatures charging at him.

Crash!

Flames engulfed them, their screams echoing as the heat scorched their bodies.

Jordan’s eyes widened with realisation. “So—they can be defeated with heat, but they are all a bunch of smoke. How is that possible?” Jordan mumbled inwardly, stunned, but this wasn't the right time to get stunned, and so he snapped back. “If I conjure my flames to have higher temperatures than before, then I think I have a higher chance of ending these things, so I can focus on him.”

Jordan raised his gaze at the floating Megan.

“Damn it,” Megan growled, his teeth clenched, in disappointment. But then he smirked. “That little pest figured out my trick. But flames alone won’t be enough to bring

  • Taking To Safety

The city erupted in chaos. Blood splattered through the air as different armies clashed their swords. The dark armies were winning, because the power of the Dark Stone was overwhelming—unmatched. Some armies could be seen running for their lives, because there was no way they could face those dark armies, with demons hovering in the air and countless others attacking on the ground.“--”Fiona, who was about to be devoured by a demon, saw her life flashing before her eyes as the giant mandible of the creature, lined with long fangs, surged toward her.And in the next second…Impact.A devastating punch collided with the creature’s jaw, ripping its mandible clean from its body.Black blood splattered into the air, splashing onto Fiona’s face. She closed her eyes in fear, thinking she was already dead. But when she opened them, she saw James—standing there, his sword gripping tight on his hands.“Are you okay?” he asked, slightly shifting his gaze toward her.Her eyes slowly widened when

  • Chaos In Sinclair

Fiona was so excited when she confirmed it was truly the stone. The very next second, she heard Lyfan’s voice just an inch from her ear, making her flinch:“Did you confirm it’s the stone?”“Please stop scaring me…” Fiona sighed, then breathed softly. She held the stone, spinning it slowly in her hand as she tried to figure out a way to make use of it.She had once seen how the soldier had done it—how he opened the teleportation hole. If only she could do the same thing, then she could open the hole as well.“All I have to do is mimic exactly what he did…”Fiona recalled the soldier placing his hand on his chest, and the next thing, the swirling hole engulfed the space in front of him.The trick was total concentration. Once the stone was touched, all one had to do was focus on exactly where they wanted to teleport to, and the swirling, flaming hole would appear.Fiona knew the history of the stone. If she tapped into its power, her cultivation energy core would be utterly damaged.“I

  • Save Fiona

Fiona couldn’t even see who was talking; all she could hear was a voice sobbing in front of her. Though she knew who Thomas’s wife was—she had seen her speak a few other times with Thomas—she knew she was a drunkard just like him and owned a bar shop. She never expected her to come. And secondly, why was she invisible? Her thoughts were unsettled, but that wasn’t the right time to get herself entangled in them.Lyfan quickly cut down the rope restraining Fiona, and at that moment the knife she was holding slid from her hand and fell to the ground.Lyfan’s short time gap to hold objects while invisible had elapsed; now she could only talk, and Fiona could only hear her without touching her.“You are now free… Stand, let’s look for a way out of here.”The question now was, how did Lyfan get into the dry, sun-piercing, scorching realm? It all happened when the soldier who had opened the realm to Sinclair did so. When he opened it, the other path of the teleportation hole appeared inside

Reaching where the army was, he folded his arms across his chest and asked sharply, “What is the problem?”“Sir, the invasion has begun, and Lord Muzan wants you right by his side.”Lucas glanced at Fiona over his shoulder before turning his gaze back to the soldier. “What about her? Are we going to leave her here to die?”“Sir, for now, I don’t know. Lord Muzan didn’t mention anything about her. I guess that’s her fate now.”Lucas sighed. “Very well. I just pray the vultures get the job done earlier and quickly, so she won’t have to suffer more.”Lucas’s words were so heartless. He didn’t care if that was the fate fixed for Fiona to face. All he wanted was to be loyal to Muzan so he could accomplish his wish of bringing his wife back to life.Muzan had told him that immediately he took over the city—once the throne was his—he would give him a position by his side and also bring his wife back to life.“Very well, let’s get the hell out of here. I’m already feeling dehydrated under thi

  • No More Casualties

James stood, waiting for the next order from Julien. Julien had recently told him to hold still, which meant he should not give orders for the armies to engage in combat yet, because citizens were still in the town, and any battle around that perimeter could cause casualties.Julien had told James to give him a second, that he would come back, and in the next moment, he turned—and Julien was already beside him.“Wow, sir, that was fast?”Julien didn’t say a word, but the next thing he did was give orders. “Tell the armies to engage once the citizens have been relocated to safety.”While the dark armies from Muzan were attacking, Julien’s armies were busy trying to help as many people as possible out of the city, so they could engage the enemy fully without facing any more casualties.“—”Towering stones stood tall, vultures hovered above the air, and Fiona was tied onto a dry tree beside one of the towering stones. The stones had sharp edges, and the tree was as dry as rock. The scorc

  • The Battle Just Begun

The clouds darkened, a spark of lightning erupted, and it felt like it was going to strike down—but it was something else, something far greater. What happened next was snow dripping—not ordinary snow, but something entirely different. It looked reddish in color, which it shouldn’t have, like white snow stained in a pool of blood.Tension spread through the town. Those who were asleep woke up and came out, trying to see what was happening. Even with the armies trying to force them back into their houses, the citizens wouldn’t listen. This wasn’t because of curiosity, but because they were terrified.A child stood there, blood-red snow falling on his face as he stared at the glowing lightning spreading across the sky.He wasn’t scared—he was stunned. Just then, a desperate woman’s voice called out his name:“Shinda! Where are you?”The woman hadn’t yet seen the boy. He was some distance away, and the entire vicinity was filled with people emerging from their homes, staring at the wonde
