“Are you sure we’re doing the right thing? Or have you made a mistake? Have you forgotten how to use the blade and track the dark energy from the possessed vessel?” Henry asked, breathing hard.

Though Thomas remained unshaken, he was focused, still holding the blade, shifting it slightly to the right and left as if waiting for a sign.

And just as Thomas was beginning to grow impatient, the blade suddenly glowed red.

“Yes,” Thomas muttered in excitement.

The way the blade tracker worked was simple: the closer it got to the possessed victim, the more intensely it glowed.

Thomas followed the signal and headed straight toward the direction the blade had led him. But instead of finding something unusual, he saw a man staggering home.

“Could he be one of the possessed humans?” Henry, who was standing behind Thomas, asked.

“We have only one way to figure it out,” Thomas replied, stepping forward to approach the man.

He tapped the man on the shoulder, then turned him around. As soon as the ma

  • Into Her Embrace

Jordan stared at the cup, doubting whether he should drink its contents or not.If Matilda said it could help him fix the condition he was in, then he thought it might be his way out of the pain he was feeling.Jordan gulped the water down his throat, then gently lay back onto the bed. He still could feel his body trembling.“Don’t worry, you will be okay. The herb needs time to work,” Matilda’s voice sounded, and slowly it began to fade as Jordan gently fell asleep. The next day, it was a bright and sunny day—though the only way they could differentiate it while inside Diablo was when the walls of the cave glowed with a magnificent white light. Only then would the people of Akabian know it was morning. At night, the cave-like residence seemed darker, but still illuminated by a faint glow that made it possible to tell day from night.Jordan was still lying on the bed when his eyes suddenly flew open. His gaze darted around, and the moment he saw Matilda’s hands wrapped around him, he

  • Throbbing Pain

While Jordan was holding the ball, the moment it started glowing, his consciousness was drawn to somewhere else. His eyes—he saw something: eyes glowing in the dark, the ground soaked with liquid fire, and above him was a swarm of demons hovering in the air.“What happened? Why do you look so scared…?” Matilda asked, trying to reach out to Jordan, but he drew back. Then he smiled and stood up from the ground. He dusted his clothes. “Don’t worry, everything is fine.”Jordan didn’t want to tell them what he had seen, or perhaps he didn’t know how to explain it. But he knew one thing for sure—what he had seen was very powerful. Yet he couldn’t figure out exactly what it was.But those eyes glowing in the dark seemed more bloodthirsty than ever.Meanwhile, Elsie knew that whatever had happened had occurred out of some sort of magical reaction—a collision of two powerful interfaces.Hmm, this is impressive… This boy is something else. Never have I imagined that the bloodline of Akabian wou

“Have you figured out the main problem with the object?” Jordan asked.Elsie didn’t give a reply. All she did was stare at the object in her hands, rubbing her chin slowly. After a while, she lifted her gaze.“Something could have possibly been the problem… but to be sure, I want you to hold the object again.”Jordan stretched out his hands, and the ball was packed into his palms. Just like before, the moment it touched his hands, the object went dormant.“Hmmmmm… now I see what the problem could have been,” Elsie rubbed her chin again. “You can somehow cancel magic.”The moment she said those words, Jordan’s mind drove back to the time when he and Aurora made contact with their fingers—and something happened.Just after this confirmation, Elsie’s smile lit up as she began getting excited. “Yes, finally, we have gotten someone who could kill the mighty dragon.”Matilda smiled as well. The excitement was so overwhelming that she felt like hugging Jordan. The dragon was a magical beast,

  • A Thousand Years Old

Jordan froze, stunned by how Matilda kept knowing his intentions. Could she be reading his mind? With curiosity, he asked, though in a less casual tone:“What exactly do you think I’m looking for?”Jordan laughed playfully as he asked. And Matilda answered:“You are looking for the elixir, a healing potion strong enough to mend the body paths.”Jordan’s eyes widened even more. What the hell… there’s no doubt, this lady is actually reading my mind. How the hell does she know about the elixir I’m looking for, and how the hell did she know it was the elixir I’m looking for?According to what Jordan had learned, the only way to get the elixir was to kill a high-ranking demon. He was still trying to figure out where the demon could be, though he had gotten a clue that it could be laying under a volcanic mountain. But the problem here was, he didn’t even know where the volcanic mountain was. The land was so flat that he could stare miles away, but still nothing could be caught by his sight—

  • Aunty Elsie

“Never have I imagined that I would be inside the stomach of a creature. Thank goodness it’s not a type that devours.”Jordan thought inwardly before taking a deep breath. Then he noticed how impossible it was for Matilda’s hands to pass through the barrier to the main glowing object she had referred to as a heart, and this prompted him to ask.“Why is that so…?”“As I have said, it’s a heart. You don’t expect someone toying with your heart, do you?”Jordan chuckled, rubbing his hair before grinning nervously. “Yeah… kind of?”Matilda nodded. “Very well. That’s why the barrier is there. The barrier is not made by us but by Diablo itself, to protect its life source.”Jordan was startled, but then what could he do about it? He could only listen and figure out a way to get the elixir healing potion from this realm where he was, by all means.Jordan smiled warmly. “This is amazing. What else is this place made of? Like… what’s another unique aspect of it?”Matilda nodded, then gestured fo

  • Inside The Stomach Of Diablo

From the window where he stood, the height was far above the ground. It was the only possible route he could use to escape.Using his skills, Jordan dived through the window and slid along the inner walls of the massive ant-like cave, descending swiftly until he finally reached the ground below. He looked up and saw the guards still doing exactly as they were instructed, completely unaware that he was gone.Jordan smeared tauntingly before speaking: “Perfect. With this, I can survey the entire place and return without anyone noticing.”Just as he was about to move forward, a familiar voice sounded behind him.“Ryan.”He turned swiftly.“U-um, Matilda,” Jordan stammered. “I was just… trying to look for you, and—”“It’s okay,” Matilda cut in with a smile. “I know you’re stunned by the view of this entire vicinity and wanted answers and as well explore. Luckily I’m here to help you with that.” Matilda spoke in a soft tone and after a little while, she stepped forward. "Let's have a wal
