Nicholas stared at the glowing numbers on his cracked screen.

[10:15 PM]

"Fifty thousand dollars," Nicholas muttered, his throat dry as the reality hit him.

"And I have less than two hours to get rid of every single cent."

He looked down at his muddy jeans and felt the damp fabric clinging heavily to his skin.

He needed a complete transformation, and he needed it immediately.

Nicholas turned around and marched toward the high-end shopping avenue just two blocks away.

Most regular stores were closing, but the bright neon lights of Aurelius Luxury Tailors still shone.

He pushed the heavy glass door open, the scent of expensive leather and premium cologne filling his nose.

An older salesman with a slick mustache looked up from a computer, his eyes instantly scanning Nicholas's mud-stained sneakers.

"We are closing in ten minutes, young man," the salesman said, his tone dripping with quiet judgment.

"And honestly, our off-the-rack items here start at a price that might shock you."

Nicholas didn't blink, stepping forward and pulling out his sleek black debit card.

"I don't want off-the-rack," Nicholas said, his voice dropping into a calm, commanding tone.

"Bring me your absolute best bespoke suit, a tailored silk shirt, and those premium leather dress shoes in the display."

The salesman let out a short, scoffing chuckle, crossing his arms tightly.

"That setup costs exactly seven thousand dollars, kid. Do you even have seven dollars on that card?"

"Run the card right now, or I will buy the entire store from your corporate manager tomorrow morning," Nicholas warned.

The sheer weight in Nicholas's cold gaze made the salesman's breath catch in his throat.

What could make him have such audacity?

The man thought it wise not to underestimate him.

With trembling fingers, the man snatched the black card and slid it violently through the payment terminal.

Beep!

The machine rang with a crisp, successful chime, and a long receipt began to print instantly.

The salesman's mouth fell open, his face turning an instant, ghostly shade of pale gray.

"S-Sir! Please forgive my terrible eyesight!" the man stammered, bowing so low his forehead almost hit the counter.

"I will prepare the private changing suite for you immediately! Please, right this way!"

Ten minutes later, Nicholas stepped out of the fitting room, looking like a completely different person.

The dark, custom-tailored suit fit his tall, athletic frame perfectly, radiating power and wealth.

His old clothes were tossed straight into the trash can without a single hint of regret.

Nicholas looked at his phone screen as he walked out into the cool night air.

[10:45 PM]

Remaining Balance: $43,000.00.

"Still too much cash," Nicholas murmured, his brows furrowing in sudden frustration. "How do I drop forty-three grand in an hour?"

He sat down on a stone bench, his fingers rapidly scrolling through local financial news portals on his phone.

Suddenly, a bright, flashing red headline caught his eye on the university's business forum.

Urgent: Campus Commercial Holdings selling emergency micro-shares to cover sudden debt liquidation.

Nicholas's eyes widened as he realized what this meant.

The company that owned the land, the shops, and the buildings around the university was desperate for cash tonight.

They were auctioning off fractional ownership shares online, and the bidding portal was closing at midnight.

"Perfect," Nicholas whispered, a sharp, dangerous smile finally breaking across his handsome face.

He clicked the link, quickly typing in his personal banking details and linking his system account to the portal.

The current bidding price for a massive block of commercial district shares was holding at exactly forty-three thousand dollars.

Nicholas didn't hesitate for a single second, pressing his thumb firmly against the screen to place the maximum bid.

The loading icon spun on his cracked display for three agonizing seconds as his heart hammered against his ribs.

Ding!

Bid Successful! You have purchased 43,000 micro-shares of Campus Commercial Holdings.

Nicholas let out a long, shaky breath, leaning back against the bench as a massive wave of relief washed over him.

His phone vibrated violently in his palm, a golden interface erupting across the screen.

Ding!

[Congratulations to the Host! Tier 2 Daily Allowance completely spent.]

[Mission Status: Perfect Success. System stability at 100%.]

[Note: Your assets are currently processing. Prepare for the next phase tomorrow afternoon.]

Nicholas chuckled quietly, slipping the phone into his sharp new jacket pocket.

"Miranda thought Chad was a king because of a hundred-dollar bill," Nicholas muttered to the empty street.

"Let's see how she reacts when she finds out who owns the ground she walks on."

He stood up, his expensive leather shoes clicking sharply against the pavement as he walked toward his dorm.

The night was quiet, but Nicholas knew that tomorrow, the entire campus would shake.
