The next morning, even before the sun could brighten the sky, Phillip arrived at Pietersen Industries for his very first meeting with the oil tycoon.

Accompanied by two bodyguards in black suits and a pretty blonde secretary, Phillip looked perfectly accomplished and exuded an aura of untouchable excellence.

Henry Pietersen greeted Phillip with a broad smile as his secretary escorted him into the boardroom on the nineteenth floor.

“Welcome, Mr. Larson. Please have a seat.”

As Phillip walked in, Henry dismissed his secretary with a flick of his fingers and instructed the receptionist not to allow anyone else to enter the building, no matter who it was.

In a small warehouse in the middle of nowhere, Randy Olson opened his eyes to the bright glow of warm yellow lights glaring at him as someone pulled off the sack covering his head. His hands were cuffed behind his back, and his legs secured together with thick nylon ropes that dug into his socks, cutting into his skin.“What the hell is this? Where the hell am I?” he yelled, trying to wriggle free. But his rowdy protest was met with a punch to the face that nearly dislocated his lower jaw, throwing him to the ground.“I’ll ask the questions here,” Captain Williams’ voice sounded in the dull stillness.Wincing in pain, Randy slowly looked around, and through his squinting eyes, he saw ten muscular figures standing in the background, still like statues. And as his eyes shifted toward the shadow towering over him, he spotted Captain Williams staring down at him in a black military outfit.“Who…the hell are you?” Randy mumbled, fighting through the pain as his right cheek still stung from

Alex’s promise of getting the Governor re-elected for the next term was enough to set the wheels rolling. On Governor Phillipe Du Monte’s orders, the National Guard was deployed all across the state, tasked with the job of securing all major airports and train stations. While it would cause a scandal to use the country’s military resources to launch a manhunt just on the whim of a businessman, the Governor knew how to work his way around it.Instead of revealing that Mikhail was the one responsible for the hit-and-run, he issued a notice that the guy was an international spy who was trying to flee Alexandria with sensitive information. This was the perfect ruse to tighten the border security and prevent Mikhail from crossing the state lines. However, Alex knew that if Mikhail couldn’t get out of Valestra, his next option would be to flee to another city and go into hiding. But what Alex didn’t know was that someone else was already on Mikhail’s tail, ready to take him out at the first

But Henry had stopped him, insisting that he needed to confirm the target was dead before getting his full payment. And so Mikhail had found safe shelter inside this dodgy motel, 300 miles from Liechtenstein. He had already dumped the trailer truck and changed into new clothes to avoid getting caught, and now he was plannin

Alex knew someone had ordered the hit on him. But his growing list of old enemies and new business rivals made it difficult to trace the man responsible without tracking the trucker down.Captain Williams didn’t need any secondary encouragement. Alex’s words were enough to spur him into action.“I’ll track him down to the ends of the earth if I have to. And when I find that bastard, I’m going to put a bullet in his head!”“No!” Alex cut in sharply. “I want him alive. I need to know who ordered the hit. Bring him to me and let me handle the rest.”“Acknowledged!”With that, Captain Williams stormed out of the room, already calling his elite commandos on his way out.“Alex, you really need to rest!” Dr. Lucy called out from behind, rushing to Alex’s side. “You just underwent multiple surgeries. It’s barely been five hours since the accident. The doctors still need to monitor you and make sure everything is okay.”“I am fine. I am not like the rest of—”Alex’s words were cut short by a s

Samantha sent her most trusted man to deliver the God Serum to the Warrington Memorial Hospital, with strict instructions to maintain complete secrecy and hand the ultra-light case only to Dr. Lucy.As the package arrived, escorted by armed security guards, it caused quite a stir in the modest hospital.Even Josiah Warrington felt intrigued by the Kronos Tech uniforms marching up the corridor.“What’s going on? Who are they?” he asked.“I can’t explain right now. But I need your help. We need a room and complete privacy!” Dr. Lucy blurted out before hurrying to prepare Jakob. “I need to warn you…there could be side effects. If things go south, we’ll airlift you to Kronos Tech for a critical evaluation.”Even though Jakob wanted to help Alex in every way possible, Dr. Lucy’s grim warning made him just uneasy enough to second-guess his decision.“Have you used this God Serum on anyone else before? I mean, anyone besides Alex?” he asked with a doubtful expression.“Alex wanted the serum

Let’s just say Alex was sick…very sick, and I treated him with the God Serum.”“You seriously expect me to believe that?” Jakob asked as he stared at her incredulously. “I don’t like being treated like an outsider. If you want my help, then you need to spill the beans.”“It’s not like that. You just don’t understand—”“You can’t be in here!”Even before Dr. Lucy could finish, a couple of surgeons walked into the room, accompanied
