The Secret Billionaire Son-in-law

A gloaming and rainy night as Harry rode his bike through the busy street of Maple. It was a busy day for him at the factory while he tried to earn some extra cash. 

Harry has been married to Lisa for three years now and while he only got pennies from a little job at the factory, Lisa was now the CEO of their small family company they were granted after being expelled from the large family business. 

He came to a halt at the sight of a red flower, he parked his bike at the front of the flower shop and hurried inside, his eyes beaming with smiles at the sight of the red and white velvet. 

Red and White were Lisa's favorite colors, and he knew for sure that she was going to love them. 

Harry had made a few extra bucks today and was so excited to buy the flowers for her. 

Soon after he made a payment, the flowers were picked, wrapped up, and packaged for him before he hopped onto his bike again and headed for home. 

The smiles on his face disappeared when he stepped into the living room painted white and furnished with a red leather couch to see his mother-in-law Madam Emily and his brother-in-law Collins in the living room. 

Madam Emily held a document, her gaze dark and intense as she pierced them deeply at him while Collins had a look of disdain in his eyes. 

“ Good evening ma…. ” He greeted but as soon as he tried to say the next word, he was cut short by Madam Emily who shoved the document at his face. 

“ Sign this divorce document! ”. The words slid freely from her mouth, she got on her feet paving the way for a black sequined gown to be visible, her voice resonating with authority. 

Her hands and neck were embraced with gold accessories, while her face was fair and glimmering with makeup under the light. 

Harry held out the divorce document, his eyes slowly darted around it. 

“ What are you waiting for, go ahead and sign the document and set Lisa free for once! She has been through so much because of you, don't you think so! ”. 

 Madam Emily highlighted but he remained quiet. 

“ Have you suddenly gone mute, you worthless human! ”. She yelled out. 

“ Where is Lisa? ”. He asked quietly, his left hand still clutching onto the flowers. 

“ Do you think that you are in a position to ask about her whereabouts! ”. Collins chipped in, also getting on his feet, his hands clenched into a fistball. 

“ Lisa is going through so much because of you, the company is on the verge of bankruptcy all because she chose to marry a worthless human who only lives off her earnings”.

“ Finally, Lisa has agreed to divorce you, so sign the document so she can finally be with someone capable of providing all her needs”.

“ I will only sign the document if I speak to her and hear directly from her that she does want to divorce me”. He calmly spoke. 

‘ Slam!! ’. A loud slap landed on his face, Madam Emily was so furious and could no longer hold her anger that was why she hit him so hard. 

A red print immediately emerged on his face as he held onto it hoping to soothe the pain. Madam Emily and her son had always held him with so much contempt, so he wasn't surprised. 

On several occasions, she had hit him with different objects at her disposal when he dared to speak back at her, although he had felt sad about it, he never dared to complain. 

But today, he felt so much pain and scared that Lisa might end up divorcing him. 

He picked up his phone and dialed her number but after consistent ringing, it went straight to voicemail. 

Harry immediately picked up his keys, and while they continued to throw angry words at him, he dashed out of the room and headed for his bike. 

He steered off his bike and rode for her company, a fashion company that she started three years ago and was able to grow due to her hard work and consistency. 

Most staff at the company were getting ready to leave and not most of them noticed him, the few that did never failed to throw a mockery word at him, but Harry did not dare listen to any word thrown at him as he made his way to the elevator where he clicked on the button for the fifth floor. 

Lisa sat at the large armchair of her modern office, her bright skin radiating under the limelight at her office. her long midnight-black hair flowed over her shoulder. 

Lisa Carrion was considered one of the four component beauties in Maple Town and component CEO, although her company was small, she was able to achieve success at the age of twenty-six. 

Her long legs and tin waists went well with her curved shape, opposite her was a middle-aged man in his late fifties there were a few white hairs visible, other than that, he seemed younger, well-polished, and dressed in an expensive leather suit. 

Placed on the desk in front of the man was a mug of black coffee, the man, Mr Jeff Elison who was the manager of Keltine Fashion, a large fashion company Lisa was hoping to sign a contract with had promised her the deal, as long as she accepted his marriage proposal. 

“ Have you decided on my proposal? ”. Mr.  Jeff asked as he slowly sipped through his coffee. 

“ Mr. Jeff, we can discuss that later, how about we go into more details regarding the business proposal”.

 She slid the document containing the proposal close to him, and his eyes slowly fell on the document before trailing over to her bare legs. 

She had worn a white shirt and a mini skirt that was above her kneel, making her fair legs visible. He rolled his tongue over his lips before getting on his feet and striding over to her. 

“ I told you, the contract will always be yours as long as you choose to be mine”. His finger slowly ran through the visible part of her chest. 

Lisa quivered but did not dare pull his hand away and for him, it felt like an invitation to go further. 

“ I can give you more than you can even begin to fathom, you just need to accept my proposal and divorce that worthless husband of yours”. 

He morsel his words slowly as his hand trails down to her thighs, she clenched both her hands by the side, and her jaws tightened, and she could feel her heart racing fast, so much disgust for this man whom she had once held with so much regards. 

Despite how much she wanted to punch him in the face right at that moment, she could not because she needed the deal so much, more than being able to jungle back the state of finance of her family. Lisa desperately wanted to show her relatives that she could make it big without their support. 

Lisa finally became irritated and could no longer bear it, she held her hand up to stop the older man, but just then, the door opened and Harry walked in. 

Seeing his wife with another man in such a state, he was furious, his gaze dark and intense as he rushed over to the older man and slammed hard in his face. 

“ What!! Harry, what are you doing? ”. Lisa asked, but Harry was too filled with rage to even listen to anything she had to say. 

He kept on pouncing on Jeff and Jeff struggled to break free from his fury. 

“ Harry stop!! I said stop!! ”. Lisa yelled, holding out her hand, but he wouldn't stop. 

Lisa had been married to Harry for three years and had always considered him weak and a coward because he consistently let everyone bully him and treat him like trash. 

But she was seeing him in a different light today, man up and stand up for her, despite how happy she felt, she understood that she needed this deal and it would go south if she let Harry continue. 

“ Harry Stop, I said stop! ”. She yelled and slammed him hard on his face. 

“ What do you think you are doing, coming to my office and beating my client up”.

“ This man was going to molest you, did you expect me to just stand still and watch him treat you like trash”.

“ He is not treating me like trash, and whatever I decide to do is none of your business”.

“ I am your husband”.

“ Shut up Harry” She yelled, her breath so loud that it could be heard from an inch away. 

“ In my entire life, I have never been this humiliated, was it your plan to send your lunatic husband to abuse me”. Jeff held out his chin, hoping to ease the pain. 

Not able to withstand humiliation anymore he felt, he stormed out of there.
