Concealed by the darkness, the two masked rogues moved like shadows, making their way straight up the corridor.

“Hey, who is it?” One of the guards standing near the cabin door yelled out. “Identify yourself!”

“This is a restricted area!” His companion shouted, preparing to pull out his gun.

But even before they could draw their weapons, the assassins marching across the corridor shot them in their heads with suppressed pistols, taking them down.

Still maintaining complete silence, the assassins communicated with hand signals as they walked up the corridor and approached the private cabin.

Stepping over the dead guards, they stacked up on each side of the door and looked at each other.

Counting down to three, the masked assassins pushed the doors open with perfect coordination.

The cabin was still dark since the power was out, save for the moonlight streaming through the glassy window panes.

Phillip’s ploy of getting Henry drunk had worked perfectly, securing a new deal with his company. Now, he had direct access to the airport project and had officially become his most trusted business partner. As soon as Phillip was back in his car, he called up Alex, informing him about his recent success.“Mr. Pietersen has agreed to let me be a part of his airport project. I feel he trusts me now.”Alex listened closely and then replied in a low and serious voice, “Well done, Phillip. I never doubted your abilities. But now, you must dig deep into his construction project. Find out all about the building permits, land deeds, and safety licenses. All I need is one chink in that armor to bring him down.”“It will be done. Just give a couple of days.”***The next morning, while the cops were preparing to bring Dan Horowitz to court for his second hearing, a couple of men showed up at his ex-wife’s rented house.Penelope hurriedly opened the door, still getting ready to go out for the h

Dr. Lucy’s alarming words would have stirred panic in anyone else, but Alex had faced worse and survived.Instead of losing his calm, he continued in the same measured voice, “Someone knew about the God Serum, and maybe they also knew that I was going to use it on myself. We need to find who it was.”“How can you remain so calm after what I just told you?” Dr. Lucy raised her voice, straining her throat. "The God Serum could potentially kill you!”“I survived a bioweapon attack before. I think I can handle a tampered serum,” Alex replied. “You forget that I am not like the others. It will take more than an impure serum to kill me.”“There is something else as well,” Dr. Lucy’s voice cracked as she continued.“What?”“You weren’t the only one who received the God Serum.”“What do you mean?” Alex immediately became worked up. “Did you conduct clinical trials on people?”“No…It was just Jakob…”“Jakob?” Alex bawled. “How the hell is he involved in this?”“I gave him the God Serum to make

“Now that we know who targeted you, this dog has lived long enough. Time to put him down!” Josiah Warrington pulled out his handgun and turned the safety off before pointing it at Mikhail.“Hold on, Josiah. Not yet.” Alex intervened before he could pull the trigger. “We need to keep these two alive for now.”“Why?” Josiah stared at Alex, rattled by his words. “Why show mercy to the one who tried to kill you? These snakes never stop coming after you until you put them in the ground.”“I know and understand,” Alex replied with clear authority. “But they still haven’t outlived their usefulness. Take our friend to Captain Williams. He will know what to do with him.”Alex pulled out Mikhail’s cellphone and wallet from his pocket before taping his mouth shut and putting a sack over his head.“This one is just a pawn. He will die when his time comes, but I need to get my hands on the one pulling the strings.”Josiah looked at him in confusion. “He already said it was that damn oil tycoon, He

In a small warehouse in the middle of nowhere, Randy Olson opened his eyes to the bright glow of warm yellow lights glaring at him as someone pulled off the sack covering his head. His hands were cuffed behind his back, and his legs secured together with thick nylon ropes that dug into his socks, cutting into his skin.“What the hell is this? Where the hell am I?” he yelled, trying to wriggle free. But his rowdy protest was met with a punch to the face that nearly dislocated his lower jaw, throwing him to the ground.“I’ll ask the questions here,” Captain Williams’ voice sounded in the dull stillness.Wincing in pain, Randy slowly looked around, and through his squinting eyes, he saw ten muscular figures standing in the background, still like statues. And as his eyes shifted toward the shadow towering over him, he spotted Captain Williams staring down at him in a black military outfit.“Who…the hell are you?” Randy mumbled, fighting through the pain as his right cheek still stung from
