Chapter 4
Author: Maddy Taurus
Andrew came to a stop after running a few yards. He muttered to himself, “That good-for-nothing Isaac died long ago. This guy just looks like him; there’s no way they’re the same people.” He turned around and looked at Isaac, ignoring Allegra and Isabella. “Who are you? Do you even know where you are right now?”

“Andrew, don’t tell me I have to report to you when returning to my own home.” Isaac narrowed his eyes and took a few steps forward.

At this moment, a coquettish voice rang out from upstairs. “Who’s causing such a ruckus downstairs? Is it that widow and her daughter? How rude of them to make so much noise when coming to someone else’s home.”

A young woman in a pink spaghetti-strap dress came downstairs, looking disdainful. She had a full face of makeup on, and her dress was sexy. When she got downstairs, she merely glanced at Isaac before focusing on Allegra and Isabella. Then, she shrieked, “Oh, my God! I can’t believe you stepped into the house in such filthy shoes!”

She hurried over to Andrew and clung to his arm, pointing disdainfully at Allegra and Isabella. “Darling, look at your sister and niece! Every time they come here, they stomp all over the house in their filthy shoes.”

Andrew smiled at her and said, “Don’t be mad, darling. I’ll get them to take their shoes off right now.” He turned to glare at Allegra and Isabella. “Can’t you see how filthy your shoes are? Look at the shoeprints you’ve left! Take your shoes off right now!”

Isaac turned to see Allegra dragging Isabella to the foyer, probably to take their shoes off. “Hold on,” he said. Then, he turned back to Andrew and said coldly, “Andrew, even if Isaac Garten is really dead, this villa still belongs to Ally. How did it end up becoming yours?”

“Fuck off! Mom said that this is my marital home, and we bought this from Allegra for 100,000 dollars. Where the fuck did you pop out from? Get the fuck out of here!” Andrew sounded pissed off.

100,000 dollars?

Isaac looked at Allegra. Her eyes were filled with tears, and she looked agitated.

Seven years ago, this villa had been worth five million. Now, it had to be ten times that, yet Andrew had bought it from Ally for a mere 100,000 dollars?

At that moment, Isabella said loudly, “Mister, Mom only sold the villa because I was sick and needed money for treatment. Grandma and Uncle Andrew tricked her…”

“Shut the fuck up, you little bastard,” Andrew roared.

She shrunk back and hid behind Allegra.

“Little bastard? Is that how you refer to your niece?” Isaac started seeing red, and his aura turned murderous again. He stalked toward Andrew.

The young woman beside him rolled her eyes. “Well, what is she, if not a bastard? She has a slut for a mother and a murderer for a father. Who knows who her real father is?”

Isaac sped up and rushed toward the two of them. He raised his hand and slapped Andrew, followed by the woman. Andrew staggered back a few steps, his face burning with pain. On the other hand, the woman collapsed on the floor.

“She’s the daughter of Isaac Garten and Allegra Booth. From this moment on, if any of you dare to call her a little bastard, I’ll rip your tongues out!” Isaac glared at them frostily.

Allegra’s eyes widened in shock. She was both moved and fearful. This man, who looked just like Isaac, had been helping her from the second he’d shown up, but her mother would be furious to find out he’d hit Andrew.

Andrew held a hand over his cheek, a trace of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. When he looked up to see the young woman lying on the floor, he ran over to her and shouted, “Daisy, are you okay? Don’t scare me!”

Daisy slowly regained consciousness and looked at Andrew with a pained expression. “Hubby, I—I can’t hear anything. God, everything hurts.”

Andrew got to his feet, pointed at Isaac, and roared, “Fucker, how dare you lay a hand on me and my wife? I’ll kill you!” He pulled out his phone to call someone. “Mom, where are you? Someone just slapped me and Daisy… Yes, right here in my own home! It’s a man that Allegra brought with her. I would’ve asked Lance to bring his men over if she weren’t your daughter!”

Things were getting noisier. The kitchen door opened, and a middle-aged man with an apron on while holding a spatula walked out. Eugene Booth was about to ask what was going on when he saw Isaac. His eyes widened in disbelief, and he stammered, “I—Isaac?” His spatula fell to the floor.

Isaac didn’t say anything when he saw his father-in-law’s gray hair and shocked expression. On the other hand, Allegra hurried over to him, still holding onto Isabella. She said in a low voice, “Dad, don’t call him that. He’s not Isaac.”

An engine roared outside the villa. It was then followed by the sound of someone’s heels clacking on the floor. The heels belonged to a woman in a red suit and carrying a branded bag. Two burly security guards were behind her.

Margaret Gould looked furious as she hurried toward them. Her gaze swept over Isaac and landed on the palm prints on Andrew and Daisy’s faces. Then, she looked at Allegra coldly. “Allegra, your father invited you and your daughter here for dinner, yet you brought someone to beat your brother up. What are you trying to achieve?”

She turned to Andrew. “Quick, show me how badly you’re injured.”

He pointed at Allegra and roared, “Mom, Daisy and I almost died! I can’t believe that ungrateful little bitch brought someone to get revenge on us!”

Margaret frowned. She was about to say something when her gaze met Isaac’s.

“It’s been seven years, Margaret. How are you doing?”

Margaret stared at him in disbelief.

“Since we’re all here, let’s get everything straight. Why has my home turned into Andrew’s marital home? Why are Allegra and Isabella staying in that dirty, rundown apartment?” Isaac’s gaze was sharp as he looked at Margaret.

She had always been in charge of the Booth family’s clothing business and was used to having the final say in everything. Seven years ago, she’d been the one most strongly opposed to Isaac and Allegra’s marriage. She’d only grudgingly given them her blessing when Isaac indicated his willingness to give the villa to Allegra and enter a matrilocal marriage.

Seven years ago, if weren’t for Margaret’s idea to have Isaac take the blame on Andrew’s behalf, he wouldn’t have ended up becoming a death row prisoner.

Now, the villa had become Andrew’s property while Allegra and Isabella were forced to live like beggars. What had caused this? And why did Allegra have a scar on her face? Isaac wanted to sort all of this out right here and now.

“You… Are you really Isaac?” Margaret frowned, her tone turning cold.

“No, he’s not. That fucker died ages ago. This guy’s just some goon that Allegra hired to get revenge,” Andrew said angrily.

Margaret immediately looked at Allegra frostily. “Ally, who is this guy? Why did he come here to hurt Andrew?”

Allegra looked panicked. She shook her head and said, “Mom, I don’t know who he is. He just appeared out of nowhere and claimed to be Isaac, but I don’t know him.”

“I don’t care who you are. Since you have the nerve to come here, pretending to be my son-in-law and even laying a hand on my son, I’ll make sure to teach you a lesson! Guards, throw this piece of trash out!” Margaret gestured at the two burly security guards.
