“Aiden isn't an idiot, he is my husband. Jackson stop calling him an idiot!” Jade rebuked Jackson immediately for calling Aiden ‘an idiot.’

“Jade, why are you still with this idiot?  He is a fool and can not take care of you. Come to me and I will not only save your family from bankruptcy but I will also take good care of you, pay your bride price, present wedding gifts to your family and complete your halted project for you!” said Jackson.

Aiden pointed his finger at Jackson and said coldly, “Jackson, stop perverting my wife because anyone who perverts my wife is risking to die!”

“Fool, it's not about perverting your wife. The real question is-have you paid her dowry before? Or can you pay it now and take care of her. So, stop being trickish and leave this place now before I break your two legs.”

“Break my two legs. It's you whose legs will soon be broken should continue to pervert my wife. Don't say that I didn't warn in time. And as for paying Jade's dowry and presenting betrothal gifts to the Smiths, I want you to know that you will never be able to present half of the gifts I would give to them.”

“Preposterous!” Jackson burst into a sarcastic laughter laughing at Aiden condescendingly. Then he taunted Aiden and said, “What do you know about betrothal gifts? Fool, betrothal gifts are not packets of candies. So, do you think you compete with me?!”

Aiden declared, “You're not match in competition. So, I will beat you hands down if dares dare me!” 

“Jade, I know that you're protecting this foolish Aiden because you promised your late grandfather to always protect him from harm. It's for your sake that I haven't annihilated him. Tell him to leave here in peace otherwise I will force him go in pieces.”

Turning to Aiden, Jackson smiled gleefully and said, “Fool, for Jade's sake, I want to offer you two golden opportunities. Firstly, Accept defeat and acknowledge that I'm your savior by kowtowing and addressing me as your Lord and Savior. Then, leave this place in peace now and I will offer you two hundred thousand dollars. You could use that money to start up something for yourself after all you have never smelled such money in your life and may not touch it in your lifetime. Secondly, I will call you my father, worship your feet and let you live if you can present half of the betrothal gifts that I am about to give to the Smith's family in five minutes time from now otherwise I will have some people kill you immediately. You're to choose one from the two golden opportunities I presented you with and choose wisely because I will not give you another chance if you miss this one.”

Lily said to Aiden with a contemptuous voice, “Mr Foley is very magnanimous and kind to have presented you with this golden opportunity, Aiden. Why don’t you accept defeat, acknowledge that he is your Lord and Savior and then, take the money and leave here in peace.”

“Mr Foley has truly changed. This is unlike him or is he doing this because of the love he has for Jade? Imagine, he's offering this crazy Aiden a lumpy sum of money and chance to live even when he provoked him in order to please Miss Jade Smith.”

“Jade is truly a lucky woman to have attracted Mr Foley's attention.”

“Yes. The heavens have adorned her with lucks and blessings. I will be extremely happy and fulfilled if only I can be half lucky as she is right now.”

The people in the hall began to analyze and discuss the matter after they heard what Jackson said. Some of the ladies in hall even began to envy Jade, wishing and praying to be half lucky as she was to have attracted Jackson's attention and care.

Meanwhile, some of the people including Jade’s younger sister and grandmother, beckoned to Jade and persuaded her, saying, “Jade, tell Aiden to collect the money offered to him by Mr Foley and leave here at once in peace. At least, you won't trouble yourself trying to save or protect him from danger.”

“That's very correct, Jade. Since you're not capable of saving or protecting yourself, why should you keep troubling yourself by trying to protect your crazy husband. Tell him now to accept Mr Foley's and leave.”

“Jade my beautiful granddaughter. I don't want you to miss this great opportunity before you because it will never come again if you miss it. The benefit of this opportunity to you is that you don't just get to marry Mr Foley and live a happy and fulfilled life afterward but Aiden would also gets a lumpy sum of money to help himself as well. That way, your conscience or grandpa will no longer blame you for honoring his last request.”

“What's even there to honor in that God-forsaken last request of your grandfather?!” Mrs Smith Senior interjected and then taunted, “Jade to be frank with you. I want to tell you that you must marry Jackson because you're going to gain nothing by remaining with Aiden. Absolutely nothing and I am going to allow you to continue in that sin again. Never!”

“Grandma, it's Grandpa's wish fore to marry Aiden. Grandpa said that I am destined to marry him and it's him that I must marry. Besides, Aiden is no longer crazy or foolish. He has regained his mental health and sanity…”

“Rubbish! This is absolutely nonsense. Your grandfather is dead and gone. So, you must obey my instructions and command. Saying that Aiden has regained his mental health and sanity is absolutely nonsense also, because regaining his mental sanity does not in any way change the fact that he is useless and good-for-nothing. Even if Mr Foley decides to let him go scot-free from here, I will personally put an end to his life unless you agrees that you will never go near him again in the future!”
