Nora was shivering and it was painfully obvious that she was desperate for something. The mysterious family had given her an ultimatum and she dared not disobey them.

She had no idea how important Kai was to that family but after what just happened, she knew that she had to make a move even if it was the wrong one.

“What did he say?” Lila asked, her voice lower than she intended it to be and she hated that their plan was working out the other way around

Their initial plan was to get Kai to suck it up and come crawling to them but because of that damn mysterious family, they were the one who had called Kai.

The thought of it alone was repulsive enough to make her stomach churn and she didn’t want to hear anymore of it but if Nora was also hellbent on doing this then they had no choice but to help out.

“I thought we all wanted that bastard dead?” Lila said through gritted teeth when Nora didn’t answer her question and it was clear that she was mad.
