Chapter 1: A Reader Became The Protagonist And Was Summoned Into Another World!

“Sigh, novels are fictional for a reason. No matter how much I wanted to become the protagonist in it, it is nothing but a mere fantasy.”

“Especially if it’s a protagonist in those fictional fantasy novels. Almost any of those novels had overpowered MCs that had a smooth-sailing life. I want to become such a protagonist!”

A teenage boy with silky black hair that reached up to his neck, and a pair of sapphire blue eyes that were as clear as the vast ocean, sighed as he swiped his mobile phone upwards. His peerless and handsome face donned a longing expression.

On his phone, his online novel application was on display and he was currently reading one of the fantasy novels there.

There were countless novels in online novel platforms with different genres. But the ones he loved the most was those urban and fantasy novels with a son-in-law protagonist.

Both of those novels featured very capable protagonists who were overpowered and had a smooth-sailing life! Even when they encountered problems later on, they could easily solve them with their power!

And, that was the main reason why Ainsley Wagner wanted to become a protagonist in the fictional novels he read.

“Sigh, who doesn’t want to become an overpowered protagonist? Not everyone is a masochist. If possible, I want to become a son-in-law protagonist and have a powerful father and beautiful wife!”

“Even those young masters in eastern fantasy novels were the heir of an ancient clan and their wife was the heiress of another ancient clan. So whether it is in any world setting, one couldn’t hate reading overpowered protagonists!”

While Ainsley Wagner was daydreaming as he read one of the fantasy novels he liked reading, he found out that it was already 7 in the morning and it was almost class hours!

“As expected, reading an online novel, my perception of time is almost nonexistent. It is too addicting!”

Although Ainsley complained, he knew that he still had to attend classes or else he would be reprimanded by his parents again.

He had binged read 200 chapters before and he was forced to attend the class without any sleep. It was an experience that Ainsley didn’t want to experience again!

After all, Ainsley relied on his parents for his daily expenses and allowance so he could only listen to them.

‘Even if I don’t want to attend classes, I have to! My allowance depended on it!’

As if his life depended on it, Ainsley went out of his room and started to wear his school uniform. He had already taken a bath before he started his binge reading so it was not a problem for him to wear his school uniform immediately.

Binge-reading novels were one thing, but hygiene was another! If he wanted to maintain his handsome appearance, his hygiene was paramount!

Because of that, Ainsley who was looking at the mirror, was combing his silky black hair while appreciating his appearance. He often had tendencies of being a narcissist but he didn’t mind since he was handsome!

“Well, now my appearance is at its peak state. Hmm! This should be sufficient.”

Nodding to himself in front of the mirror with satisfaction, Ainsley went out of his house and used his key to lock the door.

Going out of his gate, he locked the gate as well. Placing the key inside his right pocket, Ainsley headed out to his school. His school was only a five-minute walk from his house so it wasn’t a problem even if he was almost late.

To maintain his handsome appearance, Ainsley also exercised regularly and even go to the gym on weekends. In his mindset, since he was blessed with such a handsome appearance, he must cherish it!

With that thought in mind, Ainsley ran in the streets at a moderate pace while heading to the location of his school.

But before Ainsley could run for a minute, he noticed that his body was getting shining with a bright blue light. A pillar of bright blue light then descended and enveloped him!

“Bloody hell!”

Ainsley cursed since someone was playing pranks on him before he could go to school!

‘Bloody bastards! I have no time for this tasteless prank!’

But before Ainsley could continue complaining, the blue light that enveloped him had become brighter to the point that he was forced to instinctively close his eyes.

On the streets, a pillar of blue light had descended on Ainsley’s body. And a few seconds afterward, Ainsley’s body disappeared in the street along with the disappearance of the pillar of blue light.

Yet, the bystanders who were watching all of this seemed to ignore the existence pillar of blue light as if it didn’t exist.

Ainsley didn’t know that after he disappeared, memories of his existence had been wiped out in the world. It was as if he didn’t exist!

When Ainsley opened his eyes, he found himself in a medieval theme royal palace.

The royal throne room had an ancient and sacred ambiance. There were countless specks of light floating in the room which Ainsley was oblivious about but it looked like fireflies.

The throne room had a long regal red carpet and he was currently standing on it. Much to his shock, he found himself in another scenery!

‘Wait, this couldn’t be!’

Ainsley found out that he was likely summoned to another world since the scenery in front of him was too fantasy-like! But before he could jump to conclusions, he decided to inspect his surroundings further.

Shifting his attention to the central front of the throne room, Ainsley saw an Elf King and an Elf Princess sitting on their respective thrones.

The long pointy ears and sacred atmosphere as if they were one with nature had given out the identity of those two elf royalties. Those two wore expensive regal clothing that befitted their royal status.

At least, Ainsley believed that they should be elven royalty since compared to the fantasy animes he had watched, their appearance and features were even beyond it!

‘The animes didn’t capture the beauty of elven royalty! Humans can never draw this fantasy race with such splendor!’
