Alexander said “No use standing around and talking any further. Laura, please take us to your most expensive collection and make sure it’s something that’ll make me look like I belong to the high-class gambling world.”

The driver, who still thought that Alexander was lying, smirked while Laura bowed her head in respect.

“As you wish, sir. Please come this way” she said, and took the lead.

All three of them went to a special area in the shop. A place that most customers have never been to because they couldn’t afford the price of the outfits there.

This place was meant for the eyes of the top percentile of people in the entire country and being brought there meant that Laura had a feeling that Alexander was among those people.

They all stood in front of a unique wardrobe.

“What I’m about to show the two of you Sirs is a design specifically made by Mr. Gustav for a special client of his. Unfortunately, after all the work he put in, the client not only didn’t like the color, but he also wanted to keep a low profile and a suit like the one behind here is sure to do the opposite of that. It’ll make the wearer the focus of everyone in any room he walks into and, due to the client’s rejection, the entire outfit was kept here and has never been taken out or shown to anyone until today. With that said, I hope you’ll like it,” Laura said, filling the driver and Alexander with anticipation.

They had both seen the quality, beauty, and prices of all the designs they saw on their way there, and for this one to be behind such an impressive-looking covering plus the story behind the creation of the outfit that Laura just gave, both Alexander and the driver could only imagine what the outfit looked like and most importantly, what it cost.

The driver smirked, thinking that whatever it was, there was no way Alexander could afford it and, without wasting any more time, Laura opened the door and revealed the suit that was hung there.

It was an ebony-black colored suit with gold-colored engravings. The fabric used to tailor the suit and trousers had a luster that attracted Alexander’s eyes and kept them on itself ever since the moment Laura made the reveal.

As for the folded inner shirt which was by the right side of the wardrobe and was to be worn with the suit, the whiteness shone like a blazing star under the light of the shop, and from where he stood, Alexander could tell that it was made from the finest materials and sewn with the most delicate care and attention.

The same could also be said about the tie and everything else.

This outfit combination was way better than anything Alexander had seen Mr. Dove or any of the Dove family members wear and the thought that it was about to be his put a smirk of pride on his face.

The shoes positioned on the left side of the suit and trousers, inside the wardrobe, were jet black and crafted with the finest calfskin leather.

“Wow,” Alexander said.

“I can see that you like it,” Laura said, smiling as she looked at the wardrobe just like the two next to her.

“Of course I do,” Alexander said, then looked at Laura and asked, “Can I touch it?”

Laura was hesitant at first, but then, the air of confidence that Alexander exuded, making it seem like he could afford everything in the wardrobe, allowed her to relax.

“If you wish, sir. Please go ahead,” Laura said, and Alexander grinned with appreciation.

He stepped forward, grabbed the sleeve of the hung suit, and then started rubbing his palm against the surface, feeling the soothing texture of the material.

“I’ve never felt this type of texture before. What is it made of?” Alexander asked, looking and sounding awestruck.

“Because of how cherished the client is to Mr. Gustav, he spent weeks researching and finally made the material from scratch, so nothing like it exists anywhere in the whole world. He had also wanted the client to name the special fabric after making the delivery, but you know how that turned out,” Laura said.

“Oh. What a shame,” Alexander said, then felt more of the texture.

After some seconds, an idea came to his mind and he smirked.

Alexander looked at Laura and asked, “Since the client didn’t get the chance to name it, can I?”

Laura shrugged, “I don’t see why not. Whatever name you give, I’ll relay it to Mr. Gustav and if he likes it, I’m sure he will adopt it moving forward.”

Alexander was silent for a moment, going over the name he was about to say in his head. He wanted to know if it would be good or not and after a couple of times calling the name in his head, he liked it.

“Alright, I’d like to name the fabric that this suit was made out of, the Eve. Because of the color, the name also matched,” Alexander said confidently.

Laura looked impressed.

“The Eve. Hmm, that’s a very nice name, sir. How did you come up with it?” She asked.

Alexander looked at her and said “It’s my mother’s name. Sadly, she passed away when I was younger, so now that I have the opportunity, I want to use this to remember her.”

The reason Alexander decided to name the fabric that the suit was made out of after his mother was because that was the first thing he was ever going to purchase with his money as a multimillionaire, which is a status that his mother had always wanted for him.

She had always wanted the best for him, hence why her dying wish was for him to go to high school and get informed about other things in the world. She didn’t want her son to be cooked up in the Dove mansion, being a servant for the rest of his life.

Now that he had the money to make her desires for him come true, Alexander only felt it right to have her by his side the day his life changed for the better.

“I’m sure your mother would appreciate it—“ Laura said, but was cut short when…

“Can I touch it too?” The driver asked, not waiting for permission as he stepped forward and stretched his hand to touch the suit.

Laura, however, quickly intervened.

She slapped his hand just before it could make contact with the suit, then she stepped between him and the wardrobe, blocking the driver from getting closer.

“So, do you think you can remember what happened—what exactly caused you to fall into a coma?” Miss Anderson asked gently, her voice laced with curiosity and concern.Sebastian groaned quietly and grimaced, the effort of remembering seeming almost physically painful.“I assumed by now you would’ve reviewed the footage from Stars Garden Incorporated,” he replied with mild surprise, “to piece together what happened that day.”Miss Anderson nodded solemnly. “We did. I went there myself. Retrieved all the security footage they had. I sat down and watched it frame by frame to uncover the truth behind your collapse. But… there was a problem.”Sebastian raised his eyebrows slowly. “A problem? What kind of problem?”“There were gaps in the footage,” she said, her voice growing tighter.“Gaps? Missing footage?” Sebastian nearly jolted upright, his surprise overriding his fatigue for a brief moment.“Apparently, Stars Garden Incorporated has had terrible security protocols for some time now—or

A few seconds later, the last of the family members had reluctantly exited the room, leaving behind the quiet stillness that comes with privacy. The grand door shut gently, creating a momentary hush as Alexander, Miss Anderson, and Sebastian Foster were finally alone—just as Miss Anderson had requested.Sebastian shifted slightly in his bed and cast his gaze toward Alexander, who stood a short distance away. From the patriarch’s perspective, Alexander seemed like the odd one out, a stranger in what was undeniably a deeply personal family moment. His brow furrowed, and he let out a groan of dissatisfaction.“I appreciate everything you did to save my life, young man,” Sebastian said, his voice firm but not unkind. “But if I recall correctly, I asked everyone to leave so I could speak with Anderson in private. That request included you.”Alexander’s expression stiffened slightly. He cast a quick, uneasy glance toward Miss Anderson, silently seeking her help to explain the situation.Mis

Alexander, Miss Anderson, and Nurse Rebecca stood in solemn silence before the large bed, directly facing Sebastian Foster and the gathered members of the Foster family who stood or sat by his side. The atmosphere in the room was charged with tension, relief, and anticipation—each person processing the patriarch's recovery in their own way.Sebastian’s weary eyes scanned the faces before him. When they landed on Miss Anderson, his expression softened with a trace of sorrow and gratitude.“I was told I’m only alive because you donated a significant amount of your blood for my treatment,” he said quietly, his voice weak but full of sincerity. “I’m extremely grateful to you, Anderson. I truly am.”Despite being too fatigued to move with any vigor, he tried to bow his head in acknowledgment, the effort itself speaking volumes about his appreciation.“It’s no problem, Dad,” Miss Anderson replied with a gentle, almost tearful smile. “After all, what’s family for, if not for this?”The word

“Huh?” Nurse Rebecca quickly stood upright from checking the IV needle in Miss Anderson’s arm and turned to face Alexander with a puzzled expression.“If she can’t move on her own because she’s too weak, then we can just put her in a wheelchair and roll her over to the patriarch’s room,” Alexander suggested, speaking with calm practicality. “That’s assuming there’s a wheelchair around here somewhere. But considering this building has been operating almost like a private hospital for one person over the past three years, I’m almost certain there has to be one nearby.”Miss Anderson’s lips curved into a playful smirk. She tilted her head slightly toward Nurse Rebecca and said with a knowing glint in her eyes, “There is a wheelchair somewhere around here, isn’t there?”She wasn’t just guessing—she knew. She had visited the estate multiple times over the past three years and was confident that she had seen a wheelchair at least once before during her rounds.“Yes,” Nurse Rebecca admitted,

"Master Sebastian has woken up and has specifically requested to see you, Miss Anderson, as well as Sir Alexander, the man who cured him of his life-threatening illness," Sonia announced with a calm but proud tone. Her words seemed to echo through the room like a divine proclamation.Miss Anderson’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief and emotional shock."What... what did you just say?" she asked, her voice trembling with excitement and uncertainty. The hope surging through her veins made her wonder if she had actually heard the words correctly or if her mind had conjured up a hallucination driven by desperation and longing.“I said that the patriarch is awake,” Sonia repeated patiently, her warm voice carrying a hint of relief, “and he would very much like to see the two of you—both you, Miss Anderson, and Sir Alexander. Though he remains somewhat fatigued and is currently resting, he made it quite clear that your presence is deeply important to him. So, if you could find it within your

Because Sarah had passed away and the financial support she once relied on had come to an abrupt end, Sebastian Foster took it upon himself to secure a future for the two daughters she left behind. He created a trust fund in their names, using his immense wealth to ensure that they would be provided for—without ever knowing the true source of the money. To preserve the illusion and protect the fragile truth, he had the bank—which he discreetly owned—pretend that it was Sarah who had established the trust before her death. The fund was sizable—large enough to sustain both Miss Anderson and her younger sister from adolescence into adulthood. It covered their educational expenses, living costs, and any additional support they might need. It was designed to give them access to the finest schools, tutors, and opportunities that money could buy. As a result, the sisters enrolled in the most prestigious high school in the city. When Miss Anderson graduated with top honors, she chose to atten
