“What the hell are you doing?! How dare you slap me?!” The driver yelled, glaring at Laura while she crossed her arms.

“Sorry sir, but this store has a no-touch policy for the things in this part of the building. The only way you are allowed to touch is if you can afford what you’re about to touch, because touching effectively means that you’ve bought it and, from the statement you made earlier, you definitely cannot afford this or anything else in this shop”

Frowning, the driver looked at Alexander who was sliding his palm along the body of the suit and trousers and he grumbled.

“But what about him?! You allowed the punk to touch it but not me?!” The driver barked.

Laura momentarily looked at Alexander from over her shoulder, then she returned her gaze to the driver in front of her.

“I allowed the Sir to touch it because he seemed interested in wanting to buy it” she replied.

“But he can’t afford it. I mean, look at him! He’s a loser with no money to his name!” The driver retorted.

“I guess we’ll just have to see about that” Laura replied.

Just like her other coworkers from the other shops owned by Gustav, the world-known designer had taught them how to spot a valuable customer from a mile away, and now, all her training was telling her that Alexander was exactly that.

He was a very important and, most importantly, secretly rich customer, and she could smell it.

The driver, who was even angrier that Laura had fully gotten on Alexander’s side, looked at the wardrobe and said “Is that so? Alright then. Tell us how much it’s worth and watch how the punk squirms”

“I’ll—“ Laura said, but was interrupted by Alexander, who had been listening to both of them behind him.

“He’s right,” Alexander said, instantly drawing both adults’ attention to himself and when they looked at him, he had let go of the suit because he had felt and seen enough.

“How much does everything in this wardrobe cost?” Alexander asked.

Laura cleared her throat and replied. She said: “Plus the shoe, belt, and cufflinks, everything in this wardrobe costs, minus tax, three hundred and fifty thousand dollars.”

“What?!” The driver exclaimed. He couldn’t believe the price.

Alexander, who didn’t expect to hear such an exuberant price, had his eyes widened for a moment.

Noticing this little chip in the young secret multimillionaire’s amour, the driver started laughing.

“The original bet was for you to buy something of fifty thousand dollars, but now you’re being told that the price is seven times that amount. This is so freaking funny! I would have told you to go for something cheaper, but you’ve already touched the suit so many times, and you heard the woman, didn’t you? You touch it, you buy it, so sorry to say this punk, but you’re fucked!” the driver taunted, tearing up by how much he laughed.

He looked at Laura and said “Don’t worry lady. You’re lucky I came in with this punk because I’m not going to let him get away. If he doesn’t pay, which he obviously can’t, I’ll hold him down until you call the police and they come”

The driver looked at Alexander and said “See that punk. This is what you get for trying to act like a big shot, and now you’re going to go to prison. Since I doubt you even have enough money for bail, you’ll be spending the next year in jail. Your life is now fucked! Even if you sold your kidneys, eyes, and balls, you’ll never be able to afford this suit!”

Happy about how things turned out, the driver kept laughing his heart out.

Alexander, who had stopped listening to the man since and had been thinking about the price of everything in the wardrobe, placed his hand on his chin, pondering.

Alexander said to himself “That’s such an expensive amount. Is this how much that bastard, Mr. Dove, spends to purchase his suits? This one seems to be of higher quality, so maybe not, but still, wow. The touch-you-buy rule is one thing, but I’ve already named the fabric after mum and I can’t turn back now. I guess I’ll just have to use the system as much as possible to get as much money as possible in the casino.”

After he finished speaking to himself at a low volume, Alexander looked at Laura and asked “Plus tax, how much is everything?”

“Plus tax, the new price now is three hundred and seventy thousand dollars”

After hearing the new price, the driver laughed even harder, yelling “That’s three hundred and twenty thousand more than the original plan. Oh boy, you’re fucked!”

He was trying to get Alexander to crumble and cry but for some reason, nothing he did shook the young secret multimillionaire.

Since the original price was called and Alexander acted shocked, his expression has been calm and collected ever since. Alexander had a good poker face, which is good considering that their destination was a casino.

“Hey, punk! No use acting calm when we both know that you can’t pay for anything. Just go on your knees and beg me, and maybe I’ll let you off the hook after making you lick my shoe—“ the driver said, but Alexander interrupted him.

Alexander pulled out his phone from his pocket and said to Laura, “Sorry, I don’t have a card, but do you take bank transfers?”

Laura nodded. “That’s fine.”

Alexander smiled, saying “That’s great. If you know the account number, then call it out for me. I’ll input the information and send the full amount to you straight away”

“Alright, sir. The account number is *******514 and the bank is Martel Green Bank,” Laura said to Alexander, who inputted the information into his bank app.

He inputted the three hundred and seventy thousand dollars and then hit the send button.

All three watched his screen load and during that time the driver continued taunting him.

The man said “What are you trying to do? We all know that the transfer is going to fail, and you’ll receive a message saying you’re woefully lacking in funds, so stop the act before I get angrier than I already—“

*Ding*

Alexander’s phone dinged, and a message popped up on the screen that read “Transfer Successful.”

Immediately he saw the message, the driver’s jaw dropped.

“So, do you think you can remember what happened—what exactly caused you to fall into a coma?” Miss Anderson asked gently, her voice laced with curiosity and concern.Sebastian groaned quietly and grimaced, the effort of remembering seeming almost physically painful.“I assumed by now you would’ve reviewed the footage from Stars Garden Incorporated,” he replied with mild surprise, “to piece together what happened that day.”Miss Anderson nodded solemnly. “We did. I went there myself. Retrieved all the security footage they had. I sat down and watched it frame by frame to uncover the truth behind your collapse. But… there was a problem.”Sebastian raised his eyebrows slowly. “A problem? What kind of problem?”“There were gaps in the footage,” she said, her voice growing tighter.“Gaps? Missing footage?” Sebastian nearly jolted upright, his surprise overriding his fatigue for a brief moment.“Apparently, Stars Garden Incorporated has had terrible security protocols for some time now—or

A few seconds later, the last of the family members had reluctantly exited the room, leaving behind the quiet stillness that comes with privacy. The grand door shut gently, creating a momentary hush as Alexander, Miss Anderson, and Sebastian Foster were finally alone—just as Miss Anderson had requested.Sebastian shifted slightly in his bed and cast his gaze toward Alexander, who stood a short distance away. From the patriarch’s perspective, Alexander seemed like the odd one out, a stranger in what was undeniably a deeply personal family moment. His brow furrowed, and he let out a groan of dissatisfaction.“I appreciate everything you did to save my life, young man,” Sebastian said, his voice firm but not unkind. “But if I recall correctly, I asked everyone to leave so I could speak with Anderson in private. That request included you.”Alexander’s expression stiffened slightly. He cast a quick, uneasy glance toward Miss Anderson, silently seeking her help to explain the situation.Mis

Alexander, Miss Anderson, and Nurse Rebecca stood in solemn silence before the large bed, directly facing Sebastian Foster and the gathered members of the Foster family who stood or sat by his side. The atmosphere in the room was charged with tension, relief, and anticipation—each person processing the patriarch's recovery in their own way.Sebastian’s weary eyes scanned the faces before him. When they landed on Miss Anderson, his expression softened with a trace of sorrow and gratitude.“I was told I’m only alive because you donated a significant amount of your blood for my treatment,” he said quietly, his voice weak but full of sincerity. “I’m extremely grateful to you, Anderson. I truly am.”Despite being too fatigued to move with any vigor, he tried to bow his head in acknowledgment, the effort itself speaking volumes about his appreciation.“It’s no problem, Dad,” Miss Anderson replied with a gentle, almost tearful smile. “After all, what’s family for, if not for this?”The word

“Huh?” Nurse Rebecca quickly stood upright from checking the IV needle in Miss Anderson’s arm and turned to face Alexander with a puzzled expression.“If she can’t move on her own because she’s too weak, then we can just put her in a wheelchair and roll her over to the patriarch’s room,” Alexander suggested, speaking with calm practicality. “That’s assuming there’s a wheelchair around here somewhere. But considering this building has been operating almost like a private hospital for one person over the past three years, I’m almost certain there has to be one nearby.”Miss Anderson’s lips curved into a playful smirk. She tilted her head slightly toward Nurse Rebecca and said with a knowing glint in her eyes, “There is a wheelchair somewhere around here, isn’t there?”She wasn’t just guessing—she knew. She had visited the estate multiple times over the past three years and was confident that she had seen a wheelchair at least once before during her rounds.“Yes,” Nurse Rebecca admitted,

"Master Sebastian has woken up and has specifically requested to see you, Miss Anderson, as well as Sir Alexander, the man who cured him of his life-threatening illness," Sonia announced with a calm but proud tone. Her words seemed to echo through the room like a divine proclamation.Miss Anderson’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief and emotional shock."What... what did you just say?" she asked, her voice trembling with excitement and uncertainty. The hope surging through her veins made her wonder if she had actually heard the words correctly or if her mind had conjured up a hallucination driven by desperation and longing.“I said that the patriarch is awake,” Sonia repeated patiently, her warm voice carrying a hint of relief, “and he would very much like to see the two of you—both you, Miss Anderson, and Sir Alexander. Though he remains somewhat fatigued and is currently resting, he made it quite clear that your presence is deeply important to him. So, if you could find it within your

Because Sarah had passed away and the financial support she once relied on had come to an abrupt end, Sebastian Foster took it upon himself to secure a future for the two daughters she left behind. He created a trust fund in their names, using his immense wealth to ensure that they would be provided for—without ever knowing the true source of the money. To preserve the illusion and protect the fragile truth, he had the bank—which he discreetly owned—pretend that it was Sarah who had established the trust before her death. The fund was sizable—large enough to sustain both Miss Anderson and her younger sister from adolescence into adulthood. It covered their educational expenses, living costs, and any additional support they might need. It was designed to give them access to the finest schools, tutors, and opportunities that money could buy. As a result, the sisters enrolled in the most prestigious high school in the city. When Miss Anderson graduated with top honors, she chose to atten
