"Is his brain dead or something..."

"What's with this kid, are we supposed to be scared of him..."

"Ooiii, kid. I don't know if you've noticed but you're massively outnumbered here, or maybe you're just high on our stuff!"

The gang erupted into another frenzy of laughter.

Tch!

'I hate being laughed at.' I kept my head low, waiting to see if they would have a change of heart and retreat.

"Ooiii, Joh. Go pat him down first, see if he has any weapon on him" One of the goons ordered, seemingl

The impact kicked up dust and debris which obstructed my view, so there was no way I could determine the state of Sherman's shield. I waited for the dust to settle. Boom!Another boom echoed behind me. I glanced quickly to see Shadow Girl unleash a new wave of destruction, her shadows were now devouring the Orcs, pulling them into the holes that I was sure didn't seem to lead anywhere in this world. Damn. She was terrifying. The dust settled slowly and what I saw startled the living the day light out me. Everything remained still, nothing had changed. Not Sherman, not the shield, not my shield. Both our attacks were ineffective on eachother, after using my supreme skill with a power increase up to 80%It was so disappointing. Whatever Sherman used to protect himself, it was a damn good one. I could feel the adrenaline in my blood triple as Sherman burst out laughing in glee. Did he think he won?, my armor had endless energy, where he was drawing his artillery from, it was s

"Shadow Girl!" "Yes, it's Shadow Girl. S-Class, Rank 13, she's here to save us!" The rest of the Strike Team were elated by her presence, I would have never imaged the ISA would send her on a mission like. The moment those words came out if her mouth, the battlefield behind us changed. "Be still..." The shadows paused mide whirl. Chains froze mid rattle. Not even a breeze dared to blow as if the sur felt suspended. She hovered slowly, landing a few feet away from me. Her eyes were still glowing unnaturally violet as she stared at me intensively. Up and down. I could tell, no. I could feel her questions manufacturing in her head like a money printing machine.Too many, but she still remained composed."E-Class Hero Rank 50? Reno Renly..." She said slowly, her eyes taking in my golden presence. "You ditched the mask, I can see your face now. So you're the so called 'Bionic' golden streak that the ISA says took down Gravehowl..." I wasn't surprised she knew that. Most S-Class he

Boom! Boom! Boom! Three blast, three canons destroyed. I saw Sherman head draw back in disbelief to my sheer speed and intellect. I immediately descended in front of the heroes to act as their shield and sword, no one in this strike team was dying tonight. "Ahem..." I adjusted my throat to speak up, it seemed at the moment that Sherman wasn't planning on letting out another attack so I decided I'd share a word with him. "Stay where you are Sherman... I will eliminate you..." I said firmly as I spread out my palm with my outstretched arm pointing towards his throne. Just then, Sherman began to chuckle softly. His innate voice was deep so even something as small as a chuckle felt like the roar of a lion. "Ha ha ha..." "Since my decend to this planet, I haven't come across anyone who was worthy of my attention — until now."He said as he rested his head on his knuckles. "You intrigue me, you were a puny, weakling a second ago and now you exhume the aura of a million soldiers

To the others, it was as if a golden blur of light zoomed past them with lightning speed. It was quick.Fast.Faster than their eyes could keep up with.I burst forward and grabbed Trooper out of thin air, bringing him back to where the rest of the heroes stood. They all gasped in shock as I arrived with Trooper in my arms like a cradled baby. The breeze I pulled behind me swept over them, stirred by my speed.I carefully laid him on the ground near Dr. Grace Sparks, and she immediately went to work on him, checking to see if he was even still alive. The rest of the heroes stared at me in shock, the Forever Armor gleaming gracefully, as if repelling the bluish light surrounding us.I could feel the Forever Core humming with life in my chest, as though it had been begging to be released this whole time.I had been begging to let it out this whole time. They were all lost for words, staring at me with questions flooding into their minds. How?When? So fast?E-Class?I smiled at them—not

  • Chapter 46

There were twice as many High Orcs here as those that escorted us to the ship. At least a hundred. No, maybe a bit more than that. Seeing this many of these creatures in one location made me realize just how much of a threat these creatures could be if they were let loose into the rest of Sector Z. It was a large enough number to destroy a city, even before the top heroes could even have a chance to do anything. Makes me wonder how they managed to contain them in the first place. The room wasn't a natural cavern, it was the command deck of their war cruiser. It stretched wide like a hanger bay, with metallic-like walls that had pulsating circuitry and strange alien glyphs. Dim bluish lights lined the ceiling, casting a scary glow across the chamber and onto the skin of the High Orcs causing them to appear purple-ish rather than their normal red color. The air was fused with tension as the faint screech of alien comms bounced through unseen speakers. The floor under our legs w

I originally thought that this strike team would end up meeting a few High Orcs here and there and we'd work as a team until we came up to the boss. But, turns out these High Orcs really seem to understand the concept of overwhelming numbers. After a short while, we finally got past the long double walks of High Orcs and kept walking straight forward towards the direction of the space ship. The aliens followed closely behind like a dark cloak, lumming over our shoulders constantly oozing killing intent. It was a long walk even for me, Ghost Town of Sector Z was a huge place and the space ship was at the epicenter of all the darkness and barrenness. Trooper slowed down his walking speed gradually until he arrived at my side. This act forced Dr. Grace to twitch with intrigue. "E-Class...", he said with a hushed voice. "Yes?"I answered all the while looking ahead. He too didn't turn to make eye contact or glance back at the High Orcs walking closely behind us."How did you unders
