Harrison with a broken heart did not know what to do. He picked up the bundle of cash, and slipped it into his pocket.

There was nothing more he could do. Sitting there like an helpless fellow was not going to make any difference. So, he got up to his feet, and dusted his pants.

He began to strode out of the amusement park. It just seemed to him as though everyone had vanished, and he was left alone.

He walked out of the amusement park, staring back at the area where they had officially taken his girlfriend away from him.

There was a bar down the lane. He felt like he needed to take a few bottles to cool down his head. He could not even explain how he was feeling.

Slowly, he dragged his feet on the tarred floor, heading down the lane to the bar, until he had gotten to the front of the bar.

With a bitter smile curved on his lips, he stepped into the bar and found an empty seat just at the other end of the bar.

"Hello, sir. You are welcome to M & M, what would you like me to offer you?" The waiter politely said.

Harrison looked at him, "give me your strongest alcohol with a few cubes of ice." He ordered, and the waiter bowed out.

Soon, he returned with his order, and placed it on the table for him. "Enjoy your evening, sir."

He was not the alcohol type of person, but because of Rowena, he was going to do this. He, at a go, drank up to half of the content in the glass.

He could feel the burning sensation in his throat. It was not even painful compared to how his heart was broken into multiple pieces.

There was nothing he could do other than to keep on drinking, maybe it would take his pain away. He kept on asking for more glasses of alcohol until he could no longer feel himself.

The alcoholic percentage in the drink he took was more than 30%, and he had taken about five glasses.

Little did he know that there was a man who had seen him enter the bar, and was constantly watching him.

"Waiter!" Harrison called out, "I need another glass."

The waiter looked at him from afar, and walked up to Harrison.

He looked down at him in care and concern, "sir, this alcohol is too strong. It's not wise enough to take another glass of it. You are drunk already."

Harrison stared at him, his eyes almost closing. "Is it your order? Are you the one taking it? Get me my order, now, before I get upset!" He yelled.

Seeing that Harrison was totally drunk, and could barely keep his eyes open, the man approached him.

"It's time to get to work."

The man walked up to Harrison and the waiter.

"What is the issue here?" He asked the waiter.

"Sir, this man is totally drunk, and he is still demanding for more glasses of alcohol. I was only concerned about him," the waiter explained.

The man sighed, "alright, you can go. Thank you for your concern. I'll take him home now."

"Sorry to ask, do you know him?" The waiter asked, holding the man's wrist, stopping him from taking Harrison.

"You have nothing to worry about, I know him. We are related by blood," the man told him, and the waiter left him alone to continue his work.

The man looked at Harrison whose head was lying helplessly on the table. He picked him up from the chair, and began to walk out of the bar.

He finally moved him out of the bar, to a dark corner, where a man dressed in all black stood, waiting for him.

"Sir, I believe he will be a suitable person for your plans. I mean, he looks poor and tattered. I don't think anyone around knows him at all, he has a low profile."

The man in black turned around, and stared at the drunk Harrison, who could barely stand on his feet without support.

Harrison was reeking alcohol and sweat, making the young man wonder what happened to him. He looked at Harrison from head to toe, and concluded that he was just a poor man in shabby clothes, who probably got heartbroken, hence his drunkenness.

"Did you research his background? Where does he work? Up till his current situation?" The young man asked, checking his wristwatch.

"Yes, sir." He responded, "according to the research I did, he works multiple jobs; waiter, cleaner, delivery guy, and even as an acting doll at the amusement park.

"He had a girlfriend whom he wanted to propose to, but to his surprise, she got engaged to a rich man, right in front of him. I guess he was too heartbroken to take the pain, so he came to the bar to drink. Aside from this, there is nothing more about him. He seems kind of private," the man concluded, stating everything that he knew.

The young man listened carefully to him. A smile began to carve its way up to his lips. Soon, the smile turned into laughter.

He was happy. He found just the right person he was looking for!

"Yes, yes. Good job. He is very suitable; more than suitable."

He dipped his hand into his pockets, and brought out some cash. He threw it at the man who supported Harrison. The man was his bodyguard.

He gave him the money, and said, "That's your pay for a job well done."

"Thank you so much, boss." The man greeted, holding Harrison tightly, to prevent him from falling.

"Good. Now, take him to the hotel room, immediately. Make sure everything goes as planned, don't mess up." He instructed, tucking his hands into his pockets.

"Yes, boss." He replied, and turned away to leave with Harrison, who was completely drunk.

All that had happened just now, he was unaware of it, because he was so drunk.

After the bodyguard left, the young man emerged from the darkness with a smirk on his lips, as he watched the bodyguard take Harrison away.

"Good job. Now, that annoying cousin of mine would not even stand a chance to be qualified enough to compete for the hereditary position with him."

Tonight, he felt lighter, as if a heavy burden had been lifted off his shoulders. The glass doors of the hospital slid open, and Harrison walked out, his tall frame silhouetted against the bright lights of the lobby. Harrison took a deep breath and stepped forward to Ivan. For a moment, neither of them spoke, the silence was eerie. Then, Harrison broke it."Ivan," he began, his voice steady, "I know I hurt Quinn. I know I messed up in ways I can't even begin to describe. But... I’m truly sorry."Ivan’s gaze was hard as he studied Harrison, his eyes searching for sincerity. Just... don’t make me regret this."Relief flooded through Harrison, and without thinking, he extended his hand. After a b

The night air was thick with tension. Harrison stood firm, his gaze locked with Jacob’s as they faced off under the dim glow of the moonlight. Jacob’s eyes gleamed with a dangerous glint, a crazed smile twitching at the corners of his lips.“So, you want one of us to die, huh?” Harrison’s voice was steady, though his heart raced wildly in his chest. “You think that’s the only way this ends?”Jacob nodded slowly, his smile widening. “Oh, I know it is. One must die for the other to live, Harrison. No way out of that. And you, Harrison, will die.”Quinn stood behind Harrison, her entire body shaking as she watched the two men. The man she loved and the man who had traumatized her in the past.Tears streamed down her cheeks as fear coiled in her stomach like a venomous snake.“Please, stop this,” she begged, her voice breaking. “Both of you, just—”Jacob laughed, a hollow, chilling sound that cut through her plea like a blade. “No more running, no more hiding. Harrison’s voice was calm, yet filled with remorse as he recounted the painful memories that had tormented him for years. He hesitated before speaking again, his gaze fixed on the floor, avoiding Quinn’s eyes.“I’ve been carrying this guilt for a long time,” he began quietly, “ever since Stella… I wasn’t ready to be a father. I didn’t know how to deal with the situation or how to support her the way she deserved. I was reckless, neglectful even, and I regret every moment of it.”Quinn remained silent, her expression unreadable. Despite her efforts to maintain her composure, her heart tightened with sympathy and confusion.Harrison took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as if releasing a burden that had been suffocating him. “I remember that day like it was yesterday,” he continued, his voice trembling slightly. “Stella and I had an argument that morning. It wasn’t anything serious, just about trivial things and then she left the house. I didn’t think much of it. I saw her hurry up, head

  • Tell Me.

The drive to Quinn’s secluded apartment was silent. Ivan’s eyes stayed locked on the road, his knuckles white against the steering wheel.
