I accidentally changed it

After lunch I still do not forget all that happened.

While I was in the middle of thinking about what was happening, someone visited us at the hospital.

*Knock* *Knock*

"I guess, it's already the weekend." I mumbled to myself.

When I said that, the door opened and then I saw Nao.

"Yo, Kio I'm here to pay a visit." He said.

"Obviously." I replied in a sarcastic tone.

"I guess, the accident didn't shake your head much because you still talk sarcastically." He jokingly said as he chuckled. And we both laugh.

"Seriously, are you feeling ok?" He asked.

"What do you mean by that?" I ask. Nao's question is kinda creepy.

Nao is my cousin slash best friend. We always get along because we are the same age but Nao is often a serious and straightforward person.

"Hahaha, about your eye dude." He answered while pointing at his eye.

"I thought you learn gaysh*ts, while I was gone hahaha." I jokingly said.

"Hahahaha, funny dude but seriously what happened to your eye? It's quite noticeable since it changed color." He asked while observing me.

"Well, the doctor said that my right eye is already blind because of the accident and at the same time it changed color because of heterochromia that I already have." I explained.

"How about Mio's condition?" Nao asked worriedly.

"She's fine." I said straightforwardly.

"Is she getting better?" He asked worriedly. I can't blame Nao, he's quite worried about what happened to us, especially with Mio.

"Yeah, pretty much but I can't leave her alone for now. The incident that happened is still fresh in her mind. It will take some time to be back the same as before." I answered.

After I explained everything that he needed to know about our situation, he gave me the notes, assignments and activities that I missed due to not attending school because of the accident. He also brought the student council calendar because it looked like no one was moving when I disappeared so I should return immediately to school as soon as possible. The student council could not move because of my loss. Maybe what happened to me, especially to Nao, also had a big impact on them. I've already stayed here for 2 weeks.

Nao and I talked about what they did at school, student council things and all the things that happened at school. As I was talking to him, my dream suddenly came to my mind, which led to me questioning him.

"Hey Nao, when we were still a kid do you remember the name of a faceless ghost? That grandma used to tell us?" I ask while trying to remember its name.

"Ohh, you mean the Noppera-bo?" He answered in an uncertain tone.

"Why do you ask?" He continued.

"Well, just kinda had a nig ---." The sentence that I'm about to say was cut off because of the people's voices shouting outside the hospital. Both me and Nao take a peek outside the window.

"Hey, get down from there !!"

"Stop !!"

"Don't do it !!"

We saw the crowd shouting as they looked up. Nurses, doctors, rescuers and even other hospital patients were there and shouting. I tried to look out the window and looked up hoping I could see what they were shouting at but I couldn't see anything and couldn't see above. Then I suddenly remembered what happened to Chiaki-chan.

[Flashback]

"How about you?" I asked to break the sudden silence.

"Mom said that there's something wrong with my heart that's why I needed to stay at the hospital for my treatment." She answered while smiling.

After what she said I looked at her because I kinda saw Mio in her. As I watched her, suddenly the part of his chest where the heart was located began to disappear. When I saw that I suddenly felt dizzy.

"But I think my disease is getting worse because I always see mom crying more often. I wish I could stay longer with mom but if I won't be with her anymore I wish she would still smile and I will always be by her side telling her I love her. " She continued.

Before I lost my sight and completely lost consciousness I saw that the disappearing I was seeing had spread to her body. And there I realized that at that moment my vision was fine as if my right eye was not blind.

[End of Flashback]

Because of that I was able to decide to see that again. If what I saw that night was true. I need to see it again and find out if it has anything to do with my right eye.

I hurriedly ran out of the room until I reached my destination, and that was the rooftop.

"Hey! Kio !!" Nao shouted, but I just ignored it.

I opened the rooftop door loudly. Because of that sound I got the boy's attention which caused him to panic. I was also surprised when I saw him because it was like Chiaki-chan, who was disappearing some part of it from his body and especially since I could see him clearly.

All I could see there in the boy was the tiny particles that were just part of his body, that you could barely see his whole body.

"What the heck is this?" I blurted to myself.

I blinked my eyes twice and then rubbed both of it, I'm not hallucinating. I even pinched myself to tell if that's a dream, but it's not. I was so carried away by what I saw that I immediately did the last thing I needed to do. First I covered my left eye and there I saw his body almost disappear. I have removed what I covered with my left eye, to cover the right one.

But maybe because of the strange thing I was doing the boy suddenly spoke.

"What the heck are you doing?" He asked without emotion.

"Oh it ---"

I did not finish what I was going to say and do when he suddenly lost his balance which caused him to slowly fall to where he was standing. Which caused me to suddenly run as if my body was just moving by itself towards him. Fortunately, I reached for his hand immediately. Which caused a sudden outcry in fear of those below.

"That was close." I mumbled to myself.

"Hey! You! Are you ok?" I asked loudly at him but he didn't respond like he's a human with no feelings and emotions.

I struggled to lift him, I seemed to lose my strength when I ran up, which weakened me.

"Sh * t." I cursed in panic as my sweat kept dripping from my head through my whole body and my grip on him was slipping.

Then I heard Nao's voice, calling me. "KIO !!!"

"SH * T, HEY !! NAO !! HELP ME HURRY !!" I shouted panicky when his hand kept slipping from both of my hands.

He hurried to my place and then we lifted the boy at the same time. And one by one we heard the hurried steps to where we were. We saw the nurses, doctors and rescuers, they took him from Nao and me to take care of him.

Nao and I both breathed a sigh of relief because we saved him. Fortunately, if Nao didn't arrive, that child would be gone now.

As I struggled to stand up, I heard Mio's voice. "Onii-chan." As she went around the rooftop as if she was looking for someone with concern on her face.

"Is she looking for us?" I said with a soft smile on my face.

I slowly raised my arm to wave at her and she noticed us.

"Mi ---"

I could not finish what I was about to say when I suddenly felt pain in my chest. With so much pain, I felt like I was out of breath, I squeezed it hard while clenching my teeth and catching my breath, which in turn caused Mio to suddenly run to where we were.

"Sh * t, it hurts." I whispered to my mind as I gradually closed my eyes.

"KIO !! KIO !! KIO !!" Nao repeatedly shouted my name as he kept on tapping my face and shaking my body.

Little by little, their voices disappeared. The last thing I saw was Mio standing beside Nao while she looked at me with sadness and a face that she's going to cry. I just gave her smiles as if this was the last time we'll meet.

"ONII-CHAN !!!" She shouted, that was the last voice and words that I heard.

Then everything went black.

When I opened my eyes all I could see was darkness, darkness as I had seen before. I tried to look around with my eyes hoping to see someone or anything inside. Suddenly I saw a sign "ριʹ" as a light emitting a strange light from it. Then that sign suddenly changed, changed to a "ρεʹ" sign. Then the sign suddenly turned to small pieces of dust and disappeared like the wind just sweeped it away in an instant.

I suddenly woke up in my bed and then inspected my whole body as well as my chest. The pain I had felt before was gone. I was just surprised when Mio suddenly hugged me and saw many people in our room as if they're waiting for someone..

Koizumi-san immediately approached me when I suddenly woke up. He put on his stethoscope and placed it on my chest and back and he also felt my wrists and then felt relieved. You can see in Koizumi-san's face the loss of worry.

"Your breathing and heartbeat are normal. How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I feel fine, the pain is gone." I replied.

"Good to hear that, there's no sign of any abnormality in your heart. Your heart is beating fast because of the panic that you felt that caused your high blood pressure to go up." He explained.

Everyone inside was relieved and lost their anxiety especially Nao and Mio when they saw that my condition was fine and there was no problem with me.

"Oh by the way, I forgot you'll be discharged tomorrow. So take care of yourself if anything happens, just contact me or visit me here at the hospital." He continued.

I smiled when I heard that we could leave here and go home tomorrow. But no matter how much fun it brings, there is still a part of me that is sad, sad because we will return to the old life without them, mom and dad. And we will come back and live in our house again where there are many traces of memories of mom and dad because everything will change, everything will be quiet and will be sad.

While everyone was talking happily and hugging I felt strange, I felt shivers all over my body. As if I was stuck in time, I searched for what and where was the reason for what I was feeling. My gaze shifted to Mio who at that moment was hugging me when I noticed a shadowy figure beside her, and I saw what I saw in my dream.

The faceless girl with a creepy smile as it faced me, I felt even more terrified and scared when I saw her clearly even though my right eye was blind.
