They are Evelyn and Oliver. Evelyn intended to buy a dress from this shop. The two of them didn't expect to see Greyson in this place
After studying the situation, Oliver couldn't help but scoff.
How could this poor fool choose a dozen brand-name clothes casually? No wonder several servants and even security gathered around Greyson. This is definitely going to be an exciting scene, Oliver thought.
"Honey, look at him. Having only been away from you for a day, this fool is already going crazy." Oliver said smugly to Evelyn. The more Greyson suffered, the happier he felt.
Evelyn only pursed her lips. She noticed Greyson's current pitiful appearance among the various brands of expensive clothing. What a contrast. Evelyn regretted her days with Greyson even more. She felt very wronged.
On the other hand, Greyson, who heard the waiter's sarcastic question, finally raised his gaze from the phone screen. For a moment he showed a puzzled face.
"Is there a problem?" He asked, which, in Grace's vision, looked like a fool.
"Sir, in what way will you pay? We don't accept cash." Grace emphasized the word 'cash' as a mockery. How would someone with this man's appearance have a credit card? Even if he did, would his limit be able to cover the amount of this purchase?
She wanted to see what kind of tricks this man had up his sleeve to fool their store.
Oliver, who saw this, just shook his head. This fool really couldn't be helped.
Evelyn noticed the purchase amount on the screen. It was huge. How was Greyson going to pay for it? Didn't he spend all of his savings on earrings the other day?
She wanted to see Greyson humiliate himself today.
"Oh." Greyson felt silly for thinking he had heard something wrong. He took out his tattered wallet and took out a shiny black card from inside. It looked contrasting to the place it was taken from.
The card was handed to the cashier who immediately accepted it with wide-eyed amazement. "Sir, this is...."
Oliver and Evelyn also saw the rare object. For a second they were mesmerized. Then they realized that it was impossible.
Suddenly Grace snatched the card from the cashier's hand, flipping through it briefly.
This did the trick, Grace thought, feeling smart.
"Looks like the real thing." Grace was both amazed and disgusted. This rare card, the man in front of her didn't deserve to have it. "I don't know how you got this fake card."
"Fake?!" The cashier and waitress Lily exclaimed almost simultaneously. They didn't have any thoughts up to that point. When the black card was taken out they were immediately amazed. But after Grace said that, they thought about it. It wasn't impossible.
"Oh, of course, it's fake," Oliver grumbled to himself for having thought that the card was real. How could Greyson possibly have this black card? Even he didn't have it.
Greyson himself was also surprised. He noticed his card along with everyone else. The card was held up in the air by Grace. The bright shop lights reflected on its shiny side.
"No way. Silvia wouldn't have given me a fake card." Greyson suddenly told everyone what he thought was the truth.
Everyone looked at each other. Who is Silvia? They didn't know her and had nothing to do with this person named Silvia.
Grace laughed sarcastically. "Sir, you're trying to say something that confuses everyone. We don't care about the person you mentioned. Just tell us, how did you get this fake thing? Do you know that not just anyone can have it? Even if you're very rich and want it, you still can't have it without an invitation from the bank."
Greyson's handsome face was immediately filled with mist. I do have it, he grumbled inwardly.
Actually, Silvia had kept this card for him for a long time. But would the people in front of him believe it? Greyson was at a loss for words.
Evelyn, who heard Silvia's name mentioned, immediately remembered. She had heard this name from Greyson. Silvia was that man's older sister.
But it's still unbelievable. Their Hayes family was a different family from the famous Hayes family. Silvia or anyone else from that family couldn't possibly possess and give the black card to Greyson.
The cashier cleared his throat softly. She didn't expect the black card she had just seen to be fake. It would be great if it was real. She would have something to gossip about with her friends later. No matter how the owner looked. "Look, how about I try it. It can prove if this card is fake or not."
Grace gave the cashier a fierce glance. She was very sure that her guess was not wrong. "No need to take the trouble to prove it." Then she turned to the security guard. Signaling them to come closer. "You guys arrest this guy and bring him to the security office. Interrogate him and check if he has committed fraud elsewhere as well."
Grace arrogantly gave orders. As a senior in this shop, she felt that her level was only a level below the manager.
"Who do you mean by fraud?" A voice reprimanded. A charming woman stepped into the crowd. Although her tone sounded full of warning, her expression still looked carefree.

Chapter 56. No Connection

Why drag me into this?” Naomi challenged, her fingers tightening around the small hidden knife. The masked man tilted his head. “Because you, Naomi, are the perfect bait.”He began circling the chair she was tied to, his steps slow and deliberate. “The entire Hayes family will come running for you—especially Greyson, who sees himself as your protector.”The light filtering through the heavy curtains barely illuminated the room. The old wooden floor creaked beneath his steps. Naomi watched his every move, trying to figure out who he was.“You don’t know him that well,” she said, trying to draw out more information. “Greyson is always calculated. He wouldn’t rush into a place like this.”“Oh, he’ll come,” the man said confidently. “I know how his mind works. He always puts himself on the line for people he believes are worth it.”He pointed toward the door. “Even now, I bet he’s searching for clues at your parents’ house.”Naomi’s ey
Chapter 55. The Man in the Golden Mask
Naomi hid a small knife that she had intended to use to cut her restraints. It was a folding knife, less than four inches long, barely noticeable when held in her palm. After hours in captivity, she had devised several strategies. This tiny knife was her last card, carefully concealed within the folds of her clothing.Outside, a few people were talking. Their voices were deliberately lowered, making it impossible to make out their conversation. Then came the sound of a lock being undone, followed by the creak of a turning doorknob. The door pushed open from the outside. Three people stepped into the dimly lit room where Naomi was held. The room itself was shrouded in mystery. The stone walls were old, with peeling paint. A small window was covered by heavy drapes, blocking out all light. The air smelled of dampness and dust, as if the place had been abandoned for years.Naomi’s sharp gaze landed on the man standing directly before her. He wore a dark coat, and his long blonde hair cas

We can help each other."This time, the door creaked open slightly, revealing the weary and anxious face of the middle-aged woman. Her eyes scrutinized Greyson from head to toe, as if trying to read his thoughts. Traces of dried tears were still visible on her wrinkled cheeks."Come in," Mrs. Reed finally said, her voice hoarse. The simple living room was filled with an air of unease. Family photos adorned the walls, showcasing moments of happiness from the Reed family’s past. A few houseplants near the window looked wilted, as if mirroring the distress of the home’s occupants. The faces on the phone screen exchanged confused looks."Never heard of him," Silvia was the first to reply, followed by nods from Ivy and Samantha.Jacob groaned loudly, furrowing his brows in disappointment. Matt was incredibly famous. Half the women in the country adored him. He stared at the screen in disbelief. But these women—either too busy or simply uninterested in entertainment news—claimed not to know him."Sorry, his name has never appeared in any financial reports I read," Silvia replied dryly."I don't like reading gossip magazines," Ivy added, crossing her arms defensively. "Besides, I have more important things to do than watch people act.""Same here. I have a lot of patients to take care of," Samantha chimed in."So, how do you know this Matt guy?"
