Looking around him, all he could see was light. The place he was in was a plain white. He couldn't see anything else. He stared at his hands and at the familiar attire he was wearing. His plain attire. And then looked at his feet. He was standing on the plain light. Dave was shocked. He couldn't believe he was standing comfortably without any pain. He was confused. He guessed it could be a dream since he couldn't remember the last time he stood up like this. He was crippled after all. But then again, he could also remember the way he was killed by his wife and friend. Maybe He was dead and this may be the afterlife? While he thought about these, he heard a beep sound and then some AI like voice spoke. [Welcome! You've successfully Awakened An SSS- LEVEL ABILITY] [Would You Like to Activate The Pay- Back System Now?] Dave was confused "What the hell is this....?" [Welcome! You've successfully Awakened An SSS- LEVEL ABILITY] [Would You Like to Activate The Pay- Back System Now?] It repeated itself. Now Dave thought of something. He had casually seen those system stuff which was popular amongst the Gamers and all. Was he in the situation? "What are you?" He asked. He thought he'd be in heaven or something but he was standing before a system? This made him wonder if he was really dead or something. "Why are you here?" He asked further. "And how did I awaken you?" He didn't bother asking much about the system and all. It's origin and all. All he wanted to know was that this system was here to help him jump back to life and get back at everyone who ruined his life. So of course he'd take it without thinking twice! [Welcome! Setting up for Your first Mission!] Dave stared at the blue loading light that lasted for some seconds. And immediately, something came up before him. Dave tapped on the 2nd option endlessly but nothing happened. He was confused. [You need 1000 coins to proceed with this Option] The System said. Dave was shocked. "How many coins do I even have? [Opening your wallet..... You only have 100 coins which was a bonus for activating the SSS LEVEL ABILITY!] Dave was speechless. "That's unfair...." He thought. He couldn't believe he was forcefully made to pick the crippled option. But he didn't mind. As long as he could come back to life and get back at Ray and Jane, he was fine with that Besides, he now had a system with him, so in no time he'd get his feet back! So he picked the first Option that was free. Reviving while still being crippled. [Congratulations on making you pick. Now to the PAY BACK SYSTEM! You need to pick a route for your Mission!] Then two Options popped up again The first read: [ENFORCE "INSTANT PAYBACK MODE" AND MAKE YOUR ENEMIES PAY INSTANTLY] A FREE tag was attached to this. The 2nd read: [SAVE A YOUNG BOY WHO IS ABOUT TO DIE AT THE VINN HOSPITAL] A price tag of 100 coins was attached to this Option. Dave paused, staring at the two Options which he found odd. It was odd to place these two options together. The first was very tempting. It was exactly what he wanted. To make his enemies begin paying immediately! And it literally cost nothing to pick the first option. Isn't that great?? But then again, someone was about to die. It was at the hospital he worked at as a cleaner, but he didn't know the person. Dave wanted to pick the first. He told himself that he should be selfish and put himself first! He has been through hell in the hands of his shitty wife and friend, so he should make them pay immediately! But he also couldn't ignore the fact that someone was going to die if he ignored that option. And he knew he'd feel guilty forever if that happened.
