The dinner at Le Bernardin exceeded all of Pervis's expectations. The conversation flowed naturally as the three women shared stories about their respective careers and asked him thoughtful questions about his past experiences and future aspirations.

"This feels surreal," Pervis admitted as they finished their main courses. "Yesterday I was nobody, and tonight I'm dining with three of the most successful women I've ever met."

"You were never nobody," Aria corrected gently. "You just needed the right support system to help you realize your potential."

"Speaking of which," Christina interjected, reaching into her designer handbag, "we each prepared a little welcome gift for you."

Aria smiled and slid an elegant box across the table. "Open mine first."

Inside the velvet-lined case was a Patek Philippe watch, its intricate face gleaming under the restaurant's soft lighting. Pervis's eyes widened as he recognized the craftsmanship.

"Aria, this must be worth..."

"About two million," she sai

On screen, Noah opened the safe with practiced ease—clearly he had watched Anna enter the combination many times. His hands moved quickly, snatching jewelry and cash, stuffing them into his pockets with the efficiency of someone who had planned this carefully. Then, with a cunning smile visible even on the grainy footage, Noah shouted loudly toward the empty house: "Anna! The safe has been opened! I think someone stole from you!"The room fell into absolute silence except for the sound of Anna's ragged breathing."No," she whispered. "No, this can't be... Noah wouldn't..."Aria's laugh was sharp and mocking. "Wouldn't he? It seems your precious 'brother' is exactly the kind of parasite we all knew he was."Anna stood frozen, staring at the paused image of Noah with his hands full of stolen goods.Pervis turned his attention to the police chief, his voice calm and measured. "Chief, I believe I'm owed an explanation for this treatment. And perhaps some disciplinary action for the office

Anna's face was a mask of determination as she pulled out her phone with shaking fingers. "Fine. You want evidence? I'll give you evidence."She dialed quickly, her voice sharp when the call connected. "Margaret, this is Mrs. Morrison. I need you to send me the surveillance footage from the villa immediately. From two days ago.""Which cameras, ma'am?" came the housekeeper's voice through the speaker."All of them," Anna snapped. "Especially the hallway near my bedroom and the study. Send everything to my phone right now."She ended the call and turned to face the room with an arrogant smile. "You'll all see the truth in a few minutes. Then Pervis will have no choice but to confess."Aria raised one elegant eyebrow. "Will he now?""Absolutely," Anna declared confidently. "The footage doesn't lie."Her phone chimed within minutes, and she began downloading the files. The tension in the interrogation room was palpable as everyone waited."Here," Anna said triumphantly, connecting her ph

The two detectives were preparing to launch into another round of verbal abuse when the interrogation room door opened. Anna Morrison stepped inside, her designer outfit and confident bearing immediately shifting the power dynamics in the room."Mrs. Morrison," the older detective said respectfully, standing up immediately. "Thank you for coming down to the station."Anna's cold gaze swept over Pervis, taking in his handcuffed position at the metal table. "Has he confessed yet?""He's being stubborn," the younger detective replied. "Keeps demanding a lawyer like he thinks he has rights."Anna moved closer to the table, her heels clicking against the concrete floor. "Pervis, I'm prepared to be reasonable about this situation.""Are you?" Pervis asked quietly."If you admit what you did—confess to stealing from me—I'm willing to drop the charges," Anna stated. "I'll tell the prosecutors I don't want to pursue this matter further."The older detective frowned. "Mrs. Morrison, are you sur

Before Roden could decide how to proceed, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed from the hallway outside the HR office. The door swung open, and three uniformed police officers entered, their expressions stern and professional."Pervis Tyler?" the lead officer asked, his hand resting casually on his belt."Yes?" Pervis replied calmly."You're a suspect in a theft case. We need you to come with us to the station for questioning," the officer stated, pulling out a pair of handcuffs. The room fell into stunned silence for a moment before Roden's face split into a huge grin. All his earlier apprehension evaporated like morning dew under a hot sun."Ha!" he laughed loudly, the sound echoing through the office. "A theft suspect! A common criminal!"The sharp-faced woman joined in his laughter. "I knew there was something off about him!""Clearly this nobody couldn't be anyone important if the police are dragging him away in handcuffs!" Roden declared triumphantly, his earlier fear completely

Linda's face had gone pale as the reality of their situation sank in.She looked between Roden's malicious expression and the sharp-faced woman's triumphant smirk, clearly calculating that their careers were already over before they'd even begun."We're completely doomed," she whispered, her earlier enthusiasm now replaced with visible despair.Alicia, by contrast, remained composed. She leaned back in her chair with an air of unconcern that seemed almost defiant given the circumstances. Her expression suggested she'd dealt with men like Roden before and found them more tedious than threatening.Pervis simply watched the exchange with calm detachment, his face betraying no emotion whatsoever. The sharp-faced woman circled around them like a predator, her voice dripping with vindictive satisfaction."You three are completely finished at this company. Your careers here are over before they even started.""Unless," Roden interjected, wincing slightly as he shifted in his chair, "you're w

Alicia's eyes narrowed as she looked between the sharp-faced woman and the pompous man blocking their path. Her expression remained cool and controlled, but there was steel beneath her carefully maintained composure."We arrived at this elevator first," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. "We're already running late for orientation. There's no logical reason why we should be expected to accommodate your inconvenience.""Logical reason?" the sharp-faced woman shrieked. "The logical reason is that Mr. Roden is a department manager and you're nobody!"Linda shifted uncomfortably beside Pervis, her earlier enthusiasm completely dampened by the hostile confrontation. She opened her mouth as if to speak, then seemed to think better of it and remained silent.Pervis observed the situation calmly, noting the aggressive posturing and the obvious expectation that they would simply comply out of fear. It was a dynamic he'd experienced far too many times in his life with Anna—someone using
