The moment Logan entered the hotel room, he felt as if he had stepped into another world.

The room was wide, bright, and beautifully arranged with a large bed in the center, a long glass window overlooking the city, and soft white lights that filled the entire space.

The air conditioning unit hummed gently, blowing cool air all over the room.

Logan stood there for a few seconds, staring. He had never been inside a place like this before.

Though he had been to a couple of hotels, he had never been to a five star hotel. He had only visited the lower grades and mostly inns and motels.

Logan moved slowly, as though he was afraid touching anything would make it disappear.

He placed his small bag on a chair and walked into the bathroom.

The bathroom alone looked like something from a rich man’s video, the walls were made of glass, white tiles, silver faucets, and a shower that probably cost more than his entire apartment.

Logan turned on the shower and warm water burst out. He stepped in and closed his eyes as the water hit his skin.

It felt like the stress of the day was washing off him. He stood there for a long time, letting the water relax every part of him.

When he finally stepped out, he wrapped himself in a thick towel. It was soft, so soft he almost hugged it. He walked into the room again, put on the hotel’s robe, and fell onto the bed.

“This… is crazy,” he whispered to himself.

He lay there, thinking about everything that had happened. Pa Lancaster. The men in black suits, the hotel.

His life was about to change completely. That thought kept echoing in his mind over and over.

After a while, Logan sat up. He suddenly remembered the envelope in his pocket, the one with the golden crest.

He picked it from beside him, ran his finger over the seal, and carefully broke it open.

Inside was a document, it was formal and elegant. He pulled them out and began reading.

To Logan Elias Lancaster, Son of Elias Lancaster, Rightful heir to the Lancaster inheritance.

Seeing this, his breathing hitched.

Page after page detailed information, his father’s investments, the companies under the Lancaster Group, properties, land, real estate, stocks, assets, trusts, and accounts with impossible amounts of money with his name attached to all of it.

Everything now belonged to him.

Logan shook his head slowly, as he read more, flipping through each section.

The Lancaster Group was bigger than he imagined. His father’s investments were everywhere, technology companies, hotels, banks, factories, oil firms, fashion lines, luxury stores. It was too much to take in.

For a moment, Logan put the papers down and closed his eyes. He felt the weight of everything, his life had changed in just a few hours.

With that, he lay back down and slowly drifted off to sleep, the documents resting on his chest.

The next morning, Logan woke up to the soft light shining through the curtains. He stretched, still surprised by how comfortable the night had been. He had never slept so well before.

His phone suddenly rang beside him, and he quickly grabbed it.

“Hello?” he answered.

“Young master, good morning,” a familiar voice said. “I am outside the hotel. I came to take you to the boutique as promised. Please come down when you’re ready.”

It was one of the men in black suits.

“I’ll be there soon,” Logan replied.

With that, he got up, freshened up quickly, he put on the same clothes from yesterday and headed downstairs.

Outside, the man stood beside a black car,a totally different car from the one of yesterday.

As soon as he saw Logan, he bowed slightly. “Good morning, young master.”

“Good morning,” Logan said. “Thank you for waiting.”

The man opened the door for Logan, who entered the car. As they began driving, Logan looked at the man.

“What’s your name?” Logan asked with a raised brow. He felt it would only be ideal to know the name of this man.

The man looked surprised for a second. Probably no one of high class has ever shown interest in knowing what his name was. “My name is Robert, young master.”

“Alright. Nice to meet you, Robert,” Logan said.

Robert smiled a little. “It is an honor to serve you.”

The drive continued smoothly, and soon they approached the boutique. It was a huge place with glass windows and mannequins dressed in expensive clothing.

Logan stared at the building. A thought came to him suddenly.

“Robert?” he said.

“Yes, young master?” Robert replied immediately.

Logan's brows knitted. “I want to go in alone.”

Robert turned his head sharply, shocked. “Alone? Young master, I must advise…”

“No,” Logan said calmly. “I want to go alone. Just this once.”

“But… young master, we should be with you,” Robert insisted gently. “It is not safe. And it is our duty…”

“I know,” Logan said, cutting him off. “But I want to do this by myself.”

Robert hesitated. Then he sighed and bowed his head. “If that is your wish, then we will obey.”

Hearing this, Logan nodded.

After a while, they parked a little farther away so Logan would walk the rest of the distance which he did.

The moment Logan stepped inside the boutique, he felt the same feeling he had felt at the hotel, he felt underdressed and out of place.

The boutique was huge and filled with all kinds of designer clothes. People inside were dressed in expensive outfits, and the smell of perfume filled the air.

A lady with dark hair saw him first. She smiled warmly and walked toward him.

“Good morning, sir. How may I help you?” she asked kindly.

Logan relaxed a bit seeing the welcoming smile on her face. “I’m just here to get some clothes.”

“Oh, of course. Let me show you where you can find the best ones.”

With that, she started guiding him around the boutique. But as they walked, another worker noticed them. A blonde-haired lady.

Her eyes narrowed and then she scoffed loudly. “Why are you wasting your time with him?” she said.

This came as a shock to Logan causing him to stop. The black-haired lady on the other hand looked embarrassed.

“Please ignore her,” she whispered.

But the blonde-haired lady continued. “This place is not for paupers. People like him can’t afford even a button here.”

"They caught up. We've got numbers now."Logan remained quiet, his eyes were fixed on the Last King, who stood in the center of the room with two thin cuts along his side and arm, blood still trickling slowly. The king's pale eyes moved across the newly arrived soldiers,”new arrivals, interesting” Earlier Logan had thought about the whole thing, he knew with their numbers, they might stand a chance in defeating the last king, however it would come at a large cost. Logan knew he would lose a whole lot of sol

"Sir," Vincent said, stepping in front of Damon before the twenty soldiers could even move. "Enough. This is enough."Damon looked at him, clearly unbothered. "Get out of my way, Vincent.""You've already lost ten men," Vincent said, his voice already shaking now, not from fear but from anger. "For what? A pattern? You could've studied him from a distance. You didn't need to send them in to die.""But I did," Damon said simply. "And now I know how he moves. That's worth more than ten lives to me."Vincent's jaw tightened, he couldn't believe what he had just heard. "You don't mean that.""I do." Damon muttered in a low but firm tone. "Stand down. Vincent"Vincent stared at him for a long moment, his hands curling into fists at his sides. He couldn't believe Damon would truly go on with this.Damon had sacrificed nearly all of the soldiers even before they got to the last king and now he was still sacrificing more. Vincent gritted his teeth unsure of what to do at first, but after a w

Logan rolled up onto his feet fast, breathing hard."He's fast," Logan called back. "Actually faster than he looks."The five soldiers opened fire from behind, bullets landing rapidly on the king's back and shoulders. Sparks flew again, but the king barely even reacted. It was as if he was being disturbed by annoying flies. Then he turned around, raising his sword "No!" Logan shouted. "Get back, get back now!"Two of the soldiers scrambled backward, but the third was too slow. The king crossed the distance in a blink and swung his blade in a wide arc.The soldier didn't even have time to scream. The blade caught him across the middle and he dropped in two pieces before hitting the floor.Daisy's face went pale as she saw this "Oh God—""Get to the pillars!" Logan shouted. "Use them for cover!"The remaining soldiers scattered, ducking behind the thick stone pillars along the walls. The moment Logan and his group stepped through the door, the darkness inside the room vanished.Torches lit up all around the walls at once, though nobody had touched them. The light spread fast, climbing up stone pillars and old banners until the whole room was bright.Logan stopped in the doorway, his eyes going wide as he saw this. The room was massive. Logan could see stone pillars running along both sides, each one carved with the same strange symbols they'd seen in the hallway. The floor was polished black tile, it was so clean it almost looked like it was wet probably due to how shiny it was. And at the far end, raised above everything else on a wide stone platform, sat a throne. And lastly, there was a figure sitting on the throne. He was humanoid, built like a man, but everything about him did not look human.Logan just couldn't explain it, he wasn't sure if this was due to the fact that his shoulders were too wide or that his arms were too long. There was a golden crown

"That would've gone through you," Nicholas said quietly, staring at the same spot."Everybody stay behind me," Logan said, standing back up. "Watch where I step, watch what I touch. If I stop, you stop."Nicholas looked at him, his eyes filled with respect "How did you know that was there?""I didn't," Logan admitted. “Well I just went with my gut”Nicholas studied Logan for a second, then nodded slowly. Whatever doubt he still carried about Logan, it was getting smaller by the hour. They moved forward again, though slower this time. Logan checked the floor with his eyes before every step, scanning the walls too for anything that looked different. After all the attack of the voidmaws that kills over thirty soldiers, Logan couldn't afford to lose anymore soldiers. His goal had been to make sure none of his soldiers were killed, but it was inevitable. The selfishness of one of his soldiers, Crane, had led to the death of thirty. • CHAPTER 65 : The Castle Of The Last King 1

The group continued moving, despite what crane and Osei did, Logan didn't really punish them. The soldiers had all expected a severe punishment from Logan, but Logan didn't, However, he didn't spare them either. Logan took their weapons from them and kept the two at the front where he could see them, that way they wouldn't commit any more havoc. It was because of them that they lost over thirty soldiers, which means Logan was left with about sixty three soldiers. This wasn't a bad number, but to Logan it was. If it was possible for him to reach the last king with the whole one hundred soldiers without losing anyone, he would. But casualties and deaths were inevitable. The group continued walking until they arrived at the throne. The clearing opened up ahead of them as they stepped out of the trees. And there they could see a castle.Logan tapped the bracelet and the screen appeared. [The Castle of the Last King.]*** ***Outside, back at the white room, the representatives hav
