Isaiah knew exactly what he was doing. He wanted to know what exactly was in the bag for them if they did all they wanted to do. And it seemed to be working. The men seemed to have let their guards down. Indeed, they had little thought that Isaiah could ever pose anything dangerous to them with his hands cuffed behind him.

"Do you really think we like ripping out people's tongues?" The eye-patched man said, after giving the prior man a glare that had him shaken up a bit.

"But you were about to do it right now," defended Isaiah. "Why should I not believe you like ripping tongues out? You seemed really happy when you were about to do it."

The place became as silent as a graveyard. For a second or two, Isaiah believed that he had struck a chord that would not be answered by the men. Perhaps he had gone too far, he thought.

But there came a chuckle from the corner of the room. The eye-patch man also chuckled. The chuckling became laughter. Everyone in the room started laughing.
