The safe house was a two-story building in a residential neighborhood that looked completely ordinary from the outside.

Anthony's security team had chosen it specifically because it blended in perfectly with the surrounding homes. Damon parked in the driveway and walked up to the front door where one of the guards nodded at him before opening it.

Inside, he found Celia sitting on the couch with her parents on either side of her. Mr. Greene had his arms crossed and kept glancing between his daughter and the door like he expected someone to burst through at any moment. Mrs. Greene was holding Celia's hand tightly, her face pale with worry.

Celia herself looked exhausted. Her eyes were red from crying and she was stari

Edward Sterling walked into the private meeting room at the Grand Meridian Hotel, his assistant following close behind. Anthony Williams was already seated at the table, looking relaxed but professional in his tailored suit."Mr. Williams, thank you for agreeing to meet with me on such short notice," Edward said, extending his hand.Anthony stood and shook it firmly. "Of course, Mr. Sterling. Your assistant mentioned this was important."They both sat down and Edward's assistant placed a folder on the table before stepping back to stand near the wall. Edward leaned forward slightly, his expression serious."I'll get straight to the point," Edward began. "I'm looking for information about someone, and I believe you're one of the few people who might be able to help me."Anthony's face remained neutral. "I see. And who would that be?""Damon," Edward said, watching Anthony's reaction carefully. "I need to know more about him. His background, his family, where he came from."Anthony didn

Alexander sat sprawled on the leather couch, his shirt completely unbuttoned to show off the intricate tattoos covering his chest and arms. Dark ink snaked across his skin in patterns that made him look more like a gangster than a businessman. Two women flanked him on either side, their hands rubbing his chest while he held a cigarette between his fingers. The phone in his hand suddenly went flying across the room and shattered against the wall."Damnit! She's still not picking!" Alexander roared, his face twisted with rage. One of his men immediately stepped forward with another phone, the tenth one that day. Alexander snatched it from his hand and scrolled through his contacts until he found Marcus's number. He jabbed the call button so hard his finger turned white."Where is Vivienne right now?" Alexander demanded the second Marcus picked up."She's still inside her house, boss. She hasn't come out all day."Alexander's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Are you absolutely sure she's not

Lucas was lying hurt on the hard, cold floor. His face was so puffy and bloody that no one would know who he was from across the room. His left eye was completely shut, looking very dark and bruised. Dried blood ran in crusty lines down his chin and neck. His ribs hurt terribly every time he tried to take a breath. The other inmates stepped over him like he was trash, some of them deliberately grinding their heels into his arms or legs as they passed. One of them spat on him and laughed."Rich boy doesn't look so rich anymore, does he?"Lucas couldn't even respond. His jaw hurt too much to open his mouth.A police officer walked by the cell, glanced in at Lucas lying there broken and bleeding, then kept walking without stopping. Lucas tried to lift his hand, tried to call out for help, but the officer had already disappeared down the corridor. They thought he was the problem. They thought he deserved this. Nobody was coming to save him.For the first time since he'd been thrown in th

Michael's hands clenched into fists at his sides as he stared at Serena's triumphant expression. "You're actually happy about this? Happy because you think you've trapped me?""Of course I'm happy," Serena shot back, propping herself up slightly on the hospital bed. "But don't twist it like I planned this whole thing. I had a feeling I might be pregnant before, and it turned out I was right. We both made this baby, Michael. It takes two people, remember? So stop acting like I went and got myself pregnant all by myself."Michael's jaw tightened but Serena kept going, her voice gaining strength."You need to forget about leaving me now. That ship has sailed. You're stuck with me whether you like it or not." She pointed at him, her eyes blazing. "You wouldn't want your child growing up without both parents, would you? So just stop fighting this and put a ring on my finger already. Let's get married and spend our lives together like we're supposed to. Even your parents can't stop me from

Vivienne stepped out of the bathroom with water still dripping from her hair, wrapping the towel tighter around herself as her phone buzzed again on the nightstand. The screen lit up with another incoming call, the tenth one since morning. She didn't need to look to know who it was.Alexander.Her fiancé had been blowing up her phone all day, switching between calls and text messages that grew progressively more aggressive with each hour she ignored him. Vivienne grabbed her phone and scrolled through the messages, her stomach twisting as she read his latest threat."Pick up your damn phone, Vivienne. I know you're in Newcastle screwing around with some bastard. If you don't call me back in the next hour, I'm flying there myself to drag you back to Sydney. Don't test me."She tossed the phone back onto the bed and walked to her closet, pulling out a simple nightgown. Her hands trembled slightly as she changed, not from fear but from the exhaustion of constantly dealing with Alexander'

Lucas sat on the cold concrete floor of the jail cell, his back pressed against the grimy wall as he tried to make himself as small as possible. There were four other men sharing the cramped space with him now, and each passing second made him feel more irritated and disgusted with his situation. He'd never imagined spending even a single day in a place like this. His entire life had been lived in luxury, treated like royalty by everyone around him because of his family's wealth and status. But here, none of that mattered. At first, Lucas had tried to pull rank on his cellmates. He'd announced who he was, bragged about his family's money, and acted like he was superior to these common criminals. That had been a mistake. The men had surrounded him within minutes and taught him a brutal lesson with their fists. They'd made it crystal clear that whatever power he had outside these bars meant absolutely nothing inside them."In your mansion and out on the streets, you might be a king," th
