The warehouse was flooded with the sharp, white beams of police flashlights, cutting through the damp darkness. The silence that had once filled the space was shattered by the quick, professional shouts of police officers. Maxwell Lopez, the man who had been a ghost for so long, the mastermind who had controlled a criminal empire from the shadows, was on his knees. The lightbulb hanging from the ceiling swayed slightly, casting long, dancing shadows across the cavernous space of the abandoned warehouse. The air was cold and damp, a stark contrast to the burning, silent rage that was raging in Caleb’s heart. He stood just inside the door, his body tense, his mind a whirlwind of thought. It wasn't Donald. The man sitting in the chair was a ghost, a legend, a man he had thought was long dead and buried. It was Maxwell Lopez."Hello, Caleb," Maxwell said, his voice a low, chilling purr that sent a shiver down Caleb's spine. "I knew you would come. The video ended, and the screen on the laptop went black.
