Gerald had gotten tired of hearing Otis yell like that and decided to do something, and just as he had agreed, Richard had too.

“Enough, Otis!” Gerald snapped, stepping in front of him. “You’ve crossed the line.”

“You don’t speak to your aunt like that,” Richard added firmly. “Are you mad? That’s your father’s sister. Show some respect!”

“Exactly,” Evelyn said, rising from her seat. “You talk about legacy and honor, but you cannot even control your mouth in front of elders? If anyone’s disgracing this family, it’s you.”

All the family members were visibly annoyed that Otis had dared to speak to Tina like they were age mates just because his assets had been stolen. Seeing the others speak about it prompted them to voice their opinions.
