Dave looked at the officers rushing toward him, ready to release him. "No need," he said.

The two officers, a man and a woman, stopped, their brows furrowed. They thought Dave was in shock. Breathing heavily, his body still faintly trembling from extreme exhaustion, Dave tensed his muscles. His stiff, aching arms, which had been pulled taut by the iron chains, now expanded. The bindings on his wrists groaned. The thick iron metal, which should have been impenetrable by ordinary force, slowly began to bend, stretching.

The two officers gasped, their eyes widening in disbelief. The chains above Dave swung freely.

"Are you alright?" the female officer asked, stammering.

Dave smiled. "I'm fine," he said. "Secure this area. There's a recording device on Matteo's desk. Everything's on it."

The Chief Detective approached. "The recorder has been secured. We're analyzing the footage," he said. He looked at Dave with respect, even a little awe.
