Karina and Dave arrived at the Winter mansion. The atmosphere there was heavy. Servants moved back and forth with anxious faces. The air was thick with palpable tension and deep sorrow. Karina wasted no time, pulling Dave directly towards Grandma Maura's room.

Inside the room, Grandma Maura lay weakly on the large bed. Her face was deathly pale, her breathing shallow and ragged. Several medical devices were attached to her body. Around the bed, members of the Winter family gathered: Uncle Richard Winter, Aunt Sonia Winter, Doctor Albert, and Alex, Karina's cousin.

Dave stepped in, his eyes immediately fixed on Grandma Maura. He didn't touch her. He just stood a few steps from the bed, closed his eyes for a moment, and activated his new senses.

In an instant, the world around him changed. He could hear the Grandma's weak heartbeat, the slowing blood flow, and even the subtle vibrations in every cell of her body. His sense of smell picked up an unusual faint scent, like metal mixed with withered flowers, hidden beneath the hospital's antiseptic smell. His sight penetrated the skin, revealing disturbed energy circulation, like a blocked river.

'This isn't a normal illness,' Dave thought. 'There's poison. A slow-acting poison, attacking the nervous system and gradually paralyzing vital organs. This poison is very subtle, designed to mimic the natural aging process. That's why modern doctors can't detect it.'

Dave opened his eyes. He already knew what to do.

"Who is he, Karina?" Richard asked, his voice cold, pointing at Dave. "Why would you bring a stranger here at a time like this?"

Karina turned. "He said he could help Grandma. He has a different kind of medicine."

Sonia snorted. "Help? Karina, are you crazy? At a time like this, you bring some weirdo off the street? Can't you see Grandma is dying?"

Alex stepped forward, looking at Dave with disgust. "He's the guy who was stalking you this morning, right? The one you called a pervert? You trust someone like this? You loser!"

Dave remained calm. He didn't return Alex's insults. "I can heal Grandma Winter," he said, his voice steady.

Uncle Richard laughed cynically. "Heal? Doctor Albert, did you hear that? There's someone better than you here."

Doctor Albert, who had been observing Dave with a skeptical gaze, finally spoke. "Excuse me, sir. I am Doctor Albert, head of the medical team treating Mrs. Winter. I have done everything I can. Mrs. Winter's condition is very critical." He then turned towards the bed. "I will perform a final examination."

Doctor Albert reached for his stethoscope, preparing to approach Grandma Maura. "Don't," Dave said.

All eyes turned to Dave.

"What did you say?" Doctor Albert glared at Dave.

"Your technique is wrong," Dave said bluntly. "Grandma doesn't need a regular examination. She needs an antidote."

"Antidote?!" Sonia shrieked. "Are you accusing Grandma of being poisoned?!"

"Nonsense!" Richard snapped. "Who do you think you are?!"

Alex stepped forward, ready to attack Dave. "How dare you talk to Doctor Albert like that! Get out of here, loser!"

Doctor Albert raised a hand, calming them. He looked at Dave with a curious yet angry gaze. "Explain. What do you mean by an antidote? What do you know?"

Dave looked at Doctor Albert. "Grandma Winter isn't sick from old age or a common illness. She's been poisoned. A very rare, slow-acting poison that attacks the central nervous system. It gradually paralyzes organ function, mimicking the symptoms of natural organ failure. That's why your instruments can't detect it."

Doctor Albert frowned. "Poison? Nonsense! We've already run a series of blood and toxicology tests. There's no trace of any poison in Mrs. Winter's body!"

"Your tests aren't sophisticated enough for this poison," Dave retorted. "This poison doesn't leave clear chemical traces in the blood. It works on an energetic level, draining the body's vitality."

"Energetic level? Vitality?" Doctor Albert laughed cynically. "What are you talking about? This is medicine, not witchcraft! My analysis is clear, Mrs. Winter is suffering from multiple organ failure due to old age and heart complications. There's no poison!"

Alex pointed at Dave. "You heard him, right? Get out of here! You're just causing a scene!"

Sonia glared at Karina angrily. "Karina! Look what you brought here! You're crazy! Grandma is dying, and you bring a fraud!"

Karina tried to defend Dave. "But he said he could help! He's already proven—"

"Proven what?!" Richard cut her off. "Proven he's crazy?!”

Doctor Albert ignored the argument. He took a syringe from a tray, containing a clear liquid. "I'm going to inject a cardiac stimulant. This might extend Mrs. Winter's time a little."

Dave saw the injection. He knew it would hasten Grandma's death. The poison had weakened Grandma's heart. A stimulant would burden an already dying heart.

"Don't!" Dave stepped forward, holding Doctor Albert's hand.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Doctor Albert snapped, startled.

"Let go of his hand!" Richard yelled. "How dare you touch Doctor Albert!"

"You're crazy!" Sonia shrieked hysterically. "He's going to kill Grandma!"

"That injection will kill Grandma!" Dave asserted, his voice loud and clear. "Her heart is already too weak from the poison. A stimulant will only burden it and make it stop completely!"

"Are you accusing me of wanting to kill my own patient?!" Doctor Albert was furious.

"You don't know what you're doing!" Alex yelled. "You just want Grandma to die so you can escape!"

The Winter family started blaming Karina.

"This is all your fault, Karina!" Sonia accused. "Why did you bring this man here?!"

"You want Grandma to die, don't you?!" Richard glared at Karina, his eyes blazing. "So you can take over Eager Group?!"

Karina was cornered. She saw the anger in her family's eyes, and she knew they wouldn't listen to her explanation. She also saw determination in Dave's eyes. She couldn't defend Dave anymore.

"Dave, stop!" Karina pleaded, her voice trembling. "Just go! Please!"

But Dave didn't move. He wouldn't leave. He had seen the poison, he knew the antidote. He wouldn't let Grandma Maura die.

"I'm not leaving!" Dave retorted. "I can save Grandma! But you have to trust me!"

"Trust you?!" Uncle Richard scoffed. "Who are you?!"

"I am the one who can save your Grandma!" Dave shot back. "Doctor Albert, I will give you a prescription. You can prepare this concoction. This is the antidote."

Dave quickly wrote down some herbal ingredient names and how to mix them on a scrap of paper he found on the table. He handed the paper to Doctor Albert.

Doctor Albert took the paper, his eyes reading the unfamiliar names of the ingredients. He looked hesitant, but there was a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

"This... what kind of concoction is this?" he asked.

"It's the antidote for the poison in Grandma's body," Dave replied. "If you don't want to mix it, I'll do it myself."

"Don't listen to him, Doctor!" Alex yelled. "He just wants to trick us!"

"Drag him out!" Richard ordered the guards standing outside the door.

Two guards entered, ready to drag Dave out of the room.

"No time!" Dave shouted. He saw Grandma Maura getting weaker, her breathing becoming more ragged. He couldn't wait any longer.

With lightning speed, Dave grabbed the syringe Doctor Albert had been holding. He didn't inject the stimulant. He pulled a small bottle from his jacket pocket, containing a thick, golden liquid. It was an antidote concoction he had prepared earlier, a result of Grandfather Guru's medical knowledge.

He quickly filled the syringe with the golden liquid, then without hesitation, he injected the concoction into Grandma Maura's arm.

"What are you doing?!" Doctor Albert shrieked, shocked.

"He's killing Grandma!" Sonia screamed hysterically.

"Catch him!" Richard roared.

The guards lunged towards Dave. Karina could only stare with wide eyes, speechless.

Right after Dave injected the concoction, Grandma Maura's body began to react.

Her body stiffened. Her closed eyes suddenly opened slightly, showing rolling eyeballs. Her mouth opened slightly, letting out a soft groan.

Then, Grandma Maura's body began to convulse. Violent convulsions, her entire body shaking uncontrollably on the bed. Medical devices blared loudly, showing a drastically soaring heart rate and blood pressure.

"Grandma!" Karina shrieked.

"He killed her!" Richard yelled, his face deathly pale.

The convulsions lasted for a few seconds that felt like an eternity. The entire room was filled with the sound of Grandma's convulsions, the family's screams, and insults directed at Dave.

Then, suddenly, the convulsions stopped.

Grandma Maura's body, which had been shaking violently, now lay still and frozen. Her eyes were closed again. Her breathing was no longer audible. The heart rate on the monitor slowed, then stopped.

A terrifying silence enveloped the room. Everyone was silent, staring at Grandma Maura, who now lay stiff and motionless.

Jessica looked at Dave, her eyes filled with new resolve. "I've thought about it," she said. "I want you to do the cleansing."Dave gave a slight nod. "Good.""But," Jessica continued, a little hesitant, "You won't be doing it like a shaman, right? With weird rituals, or bad smells?"Dave offered a small smile. A rare smile that Jessica had only seen a few times. "I'm not a shaman, Jessica." He reassured her. "I'm just using my abilities. My senses are how I feel energy." He added, "I'll be cleansing, not adding to the mess."Jessica let out a sigh of relief. She didn't want to see strange rituals or creepy incantations. "Alright. So, when are you going to start?""Now," Dave said flatly. "We'll start with your room."Jessica nodded, then turned, walking towards the stairs. Lisa, who had been standing in the corner of the room with a sour expression, now trailed behind Jessica, not taking her eyes off Dave.Upon reaching Jessica's room, Dave stepped inside. He didn't touch anything. H

Night fell, dissolving the mansion's grandeur into thick darkness. After the 'simple' yet meaningful dinner, Jessica went to her room, her mind in turmoil.Jessica tried applying Dave's salve all over her body, feeling her skin get better, far better than before. However, thoughts of 'cleansing' and 'energy' that Dave mentioned made her sleep restless.Meanwhile, in the uppermost room, under the moonlight piercing through the large window, Dave sat cross-legged on the floor. His eyes closed, his breathing steady, focusing on the energy around him. Meditation. This was Dave's way of sensing the vibrations of nature, anomalies, and unseen presences. At first, he felt the remnants of the suppressing magic still clinging to the mansion, dwelling in the old walls, in every crack, and most densely in the area around Jessica's room. That energy felt cold, static, but slowly began to melt, thanks to Dave's presence and the salve he gave Jessica. However, beneath all that, Dave felt something

At the inn, Milla was still pouting. She paced back and forth among the half-packed suitcases, grumbling incessantly."You saw it yourself, sir, didn't you? Jessica's assistant! Lisa! She's so annoying!" Milla waved her hands in the air. "I tried to help, but she just kept being cynical. As if we're master criminals!"Dave merely smiled faintly, neatly folding his clothes into a suitcase. "She's just doing her job.""Normal, my foot?!" Milla exclaimed, her face flushing. "I can't even communicate with her without her immediately looking at me like I want to steal all of Jessica's jewelry! I told her you needed a few empty rooms for 'cleansing', and she instantly glared as if I wanted to destroy the entire mansion!""That is my goal, isn't it?" Dave retorted lightly. "To cleanse.""But not destroy!" Milla snorted. "You said you needed optimal sunlight, so we had to move to rarely used rooms. And she immediately got suspicious. Thinking we wanted to take over the mansion.""Be patient,"

"Condition?" Jessica repeated, her voice containing a hint of disbelief. "What condition do you want?"Dave, now standing and facing Jessica, showed no change in expression. "I need to stay in your mansion."A sudden silence crept between them. Jessica gasped. Lisa, who had been standing silently, jolted."What?!" Lisa exclaimed, her voice high-pitched, no longer caring about formalities. "What do you think this is?! This is a crazy request! Ms. Wagner can't possibly let a stranger live in her private home! Her privacy and security will be at risk!"Dave turned slightly towards Lisa, his gaze calm. "I understand your concerns. But this is the only way if Ms. Wagner truly wants to recover and be free."Jessica raised a hand, stopping Lisa, who was about to launch another protest. "Why? Why do you have to stay there, Dave? The salve has already proven effective. You can give me the rest, and I'll use it myself. I'll pay whatever it costs.""This isn't just about the salve, Jessica," Dav

Jessica applied the salve to other areas of her skin, watching in amazement as the hideous wounds and sores vanished one by one. The itching and pain that had been her constant companions were now gone without a trace. It felt like she had been reborn. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, tears welling up in her eyes. Her face, which she had always hidden, now slowly began to look smooth. The next morning, Lisa entered Jessica's room with a breakfast tray.Lisa placed the tray on the table. "Miss, your breakfast—" Her sentence trailed off. Her eyes narrowed, staring at Jessica's face. Something was different. Very different. The tiny sores around Jessica's temples, which had always been her primary concern, were now almost invisible. Only a slight, faint redness remained, which could easily be hidden with light makeup."Miss, your face..." Lisa stepped closer, her eyes scrutinizing. "The wound here..." She pointed to Jessica's temple. "It's much better."Jessica smiled, a genui

Dave returned to the inn. He seemed busy after meeting with Jessica. "I need to concoct a special salve," Dave explained. "A salve that will heal the wounds and also penetrate the magical binding, helping her body fight against and release itself from the curse's influence."Milla looked at him skeptically. "A salve? With what? Magic potions? Incantations?""With specific ingredients," Dave said. "I'll give you a list of them. Some might be easy to find, some will be extremely rare. You'll have to get them.""Just give me the list then," Milla replied eagerly. "I'll try to search to the ends of the earth if I have to."Over the next two days, the inn turned into a bustling operation center. Dave wrote out a long list of ingredients, many of which sounded strange and abnormal to Milla. From meteorite dust fallen in specific locations, to roots of trees that only grew on the highest mountain peaks, to tears from a certain rare bird."Meteorite dust?" Milla repeated, squinting at Dave's
