The shock left Drakon rooted to the spot. He stood there in disturbing thoughts as a strange, yet somehow comforting, sensation moved through him.

It felt as if warm water soaked into his skin, easing every tense muscle in an instant, bringing him quiet relief.

"....." His mouth hung open. Excited? Afraid? He couldn't tell. Whatever this unknown force was, it did what no doctor in this world could — it made the impossible feel effortless.

At that moment, a rush of light flowed through his body, moving from his muscles to his organs, then reaching down to his toes.

Every inner part of him was passed through. Not a single part was spared. As though invisible hands were repairing him piece by piece, restoring what life had already taken away.

It did not stop there. What made him even more drowned in shock was the immediate healing process.

Mysteriously, there were instant physical changes and he could feel the evidence manifesting on his body which took just a few seconds to kick off.

The terrible pain he had been feeling minutes ago when he woke up was now magically vanishing.

Not moving even an inch from where he stood, Drakon was silently enjoying the overwhelming feeling he was deeply engrossed in.

‘If this is a dream, then let me enjoy every bit of it before I wake up,’ he thought to himself, almost afraid to even blink.

He wanted to hold onto this feeling for as long as possible.

This was unbelievable and at the same time looked like a dream far better than any he had ever had before.

Soon, Drakon was temporarily stunned beyond words. Just like that, the terrible pain that once dominated his body was completely gone.

Additionally, the heavy and deep injuries on his body which would have supposedly taken weeks to heal even with proper medical attention had completely disappeared.

In his eyes, this was no different from a video game where a character respawns with full health.

[Health status: 100%]

As the bold words materialized clearly before his eyes, he was dragged back to reality from his short fantasy.

Drakon exhaled heavily, trying to release the shock gripping his heart.

"If it can heal me like this, then the hundred thousand must be real." Drakon muttered to himself, a faint trace of excitement slowly forming on his thin, pale face.

Without hesitation, he nervously dipped his hand into his back pocket to check if it had truly appeared.

Though years back, such an amount was pocket change, something he wouldn’t even worry about. But now? After losing everything, after crawling through humiliation, that amount felt like a lifeline thrown to a drowning man.

However, instead of a joyous look, his expression shifted as his brow furrowed in confusion.

He couldn’t find his phone even after checking around.

Suddenly, a crooked smile spread on his face.

Anyone who saw him now would probably think it was the early sign of madness or a mental breakdown.

"Those bastards…" he whispered coldly. He already knew the people behind it without needing to think too much about it.

"Marianne... Jason!" he clenched his fists tightly in rage at the thought of the two.

It was obvious. After what happened yesterday, Marianne and Jason were the number one suspects on his list.

The two would do anything to eliminate him. The reason? He had something that could ruin them. It was the photo he took of them before leaving.

If he released those photos to the public, their reputation, status and everything they built would be destroyed in an instant.

Drakon was infuriated as the entire scene played out again in his mind, his teeth trying to dig into each other.

"I vow to make everybody pay for everything, sooner or later, in double fold. No one will be spared from my grasp."

His voice was low, but deep in his eyes burned a strong determination.

Drakon was confused by some of the information, but then he saw another set of systematic words appear in front of him like a board.

"Interesting," he muttered to himself. He was able to understand from the brief explanation he got, finding it straightforward.

Right now, Drakon was no longer worried about the system causing any harm to him, even though he was still deeply curious about how something so extraordinary came into existence, a mystery he would try to uncover later.

"This is a blessing from above that found me at the right time," Drakon smiled faintly, silently praising the system for choosing him when he needed it the most.

Finally, after standing for minutes without any movement, Drakon walked out of the alleyway with people passing by and looking at him strangely.

He attracted a lot of attention to himself due to his bloody covered dress.

Drakon didn’t slow down. He immediately began to move quickly, ignoring the looks and whispers.

As for his account, there were many ways to go about it so that wasn’t a problem in his mind, not for now.

As for where he was going to stay, he was confused about that part, but nevertheless, he was going to figure it out somehow.

"Oh.. now I remember the house at…"
