Charlie did not need to be told what had happened. He furrowed his brows in surprise, staring at the screen. Was this really Rachel calling him to help them?

Unbelievable! Rachel, of all people could be calling and pleading for his assistance? What happened to pride?

He instinctively smirked to himself before turning serious. “So why are you calling me? What do you want?” He asked coldly, emotionless.

“Charlie, please, we need $5k. We can't stand the wrath of the Prime Restaurant's chairman. Please, help us.” At that moment a different, but familiar voice whimpered, desperate for support.

Charlie smirked again when he heard Erika's broken voice. “Why should I help you?” His voice was still cold. “What happened to Franklin you both were all worshipping a few minutes ago? Has his money all gone?”

Rachel bit her lips, embarrassed by Charlie's words. She knew he was mocking them. She sighed exasperatedly, but kept her anger in check. She needed his help right now and she knew better than to keep shut and not retort.

“Charlie, please, stop. This isn't the right time for this,” Rachel started, her voice soft and polite. “We know we have offended you, and we're sorry for that. We apologise for underestimating and making caricatures of you. We're being foolish, please, forgive us and come to our aid.” She let out a cry.

“Really? Is it Rachel that I'm really speaking with on the phone? Why is her voice suddenly soft and calm? Is it because she's dead in need of my help? Oh, w—”

“You…..” Erika crashed out, her voice tightened as she pulled the phone from Rachel's grip. “Just because you won the lottery, you think you can talk to us the way you feel, huh? Don't forget where you belong and who you are! A piece of—-”

Before she could finish her sentence, Rachel pulled the phone out of her hand. She quickly muted the call and scolded Erika mercilessly. “What do you think you're doing? Shouting at him when you know he's the only person to help us? Have you gone crazy?”

“Didn't you hear the way he was talking to us?”

“Yes, I did and I'm enraged, but what do you want me to do? Shut at him? No. Let's allow it to slide and get his support then we can resume the way we viewed him. But for now, let's act coolly. Understood?”

Eriak reluctantly nodded.

“Good.”

With that, Rachel unmuted the call and slowly said, “So sorry about that, Charlie. Got an emergency to attend to.”

Charlie knew she was lying. He simply smiled and replied. “I've decided to help you guys.”

“Really?” Rachel couldn't help but scream in excitement.

“Yes. We're classmates after all.”

“Oh, thank you so much, Charlie. You're a good person! I'll send my account details right away.”

“Don't send it?”

Rachel's joy faltered at Charlie's words. She blinked and reluctantly asked. “Why?”

“Because I'm just outside the compound. I'll come inside to pay with my card.”

“Really?” Her excitement bubbled more than the previous. “Then rush down and let's get things done.”

“Not so fast.”

This time Charlie's voice sounded cold. Rachel felt the weight and her heart skipped.

“Not so fast?” She stammered, winking. “What's that supposed to mean?”

Charlie inserted his hand into his pocket. “That's because I have one condition before I can help both of you.”

Rachel's face twisted with confusion. She never expected him to give her a condition before deciding to help her. She hesitated then asked. “And what's the condition?”

“I'll have both Erika and you in bed tonight,” Charlie answered inexpressively.
